While this story is about Elaina and her moving on from her previous life as an empress, we shouldn’t forget what happened to the people she left behind.
It’s been 2 months since the incident shook the kingdom and changed the current situation around the Royal Family.
Alfred still hasn’t forgotten about her and he still thinks about his ex-wife even though they no longer have any connection. As much as he regrets it, he cannot move on. He is still determined to bring back Elaina to him and make her his empress once more.
Selena on the other hand is a little furious but she can’t do anything about it. She was happy that her sister had finally divorced Alfred and she could now solo Alfred’s attention all by herself but all of it beca pointless when Alfred beca a little cold at her. It was all apparent many tis and she couldn’t help but be frustrated that this was happening.
While they were on the bed after their overnight "fun", Alfred stood up from the bed and started wearing his clothes.
"Where are you going? It is still early..." Selena asked.
"I need to focus on the business of the mines. Things have been getting bad there recently and I needed to pay attention to it for now."
"Couldn’t that wait? Most of the workers should still be asleep, I doubt they work overti without any sleep," Selena cuddles on the cover and pats the bedside where Alfred sleeps. "Co on, you can cuddle with for a bit before we go to work."
"I can’t."
Selena sighed and sat on the bed with a pout on her face.
"Ugh, co on, Alfred. Your performance in bed is lazy and you are even la nowadays. What is going on with you now? We have no proper bonding ti at night since you don’t even feel energized no matter how many dicines that can make you excited and enhance your libido seems to have no effect. What is happening to you now?" Selena angrily complained.
"I don’t know. And as much as I want to also know, I don’t think I will. I am busy, that is all."
"You are just making yourself busy just to forget about my sister, aren’t you?"
Alfred stopped and slowly turned to Selena who was still angry but was controlling her temper to ensure she would not burst into rage. Alfred sighed and looked at her.
"Selena, you don’t understand this. I love both of you and your sister. I can’t just choose between the two of you and now that she has forcefully cut ties with , I had to work hard to regain her trust and return to .
" What about ?! Don’t tell my presence is just so nuisance and I was not really worth the effort to love and I am just so side dish for you, is that what you are trying to say to ?!" Selena angrily snarled.
"What?! I did not say anything about that, Selena! You are overthinking things!" Alfred retaliates.
"Oh really? Then why does it seem that you are no longer excited every ti we do it? Am I that ugly compared to my sister? Is she that beautiful for you to imdiately discard like this?!"
"N-no! No... Not at all. You never did anything wrong..." He groaned.
"Then why? There are even tis you can’t even feel excited at all!"
Alfred couldn’t answer her questions and he looked outside the window. The sun has yet to rise and yet things are not looking great.
"Look, I am sorry but I will just co back later. Don’t worry about ."
As much as Selena wanted to protest more, Alfred didn’t get stopped from his decision and still left leaving Selena confused more than ever before.
"He wasn’t like this back when he was still chasing after my sister. But after the incident was over, he returned without even feeling any vigor that I once felt from him. It was like... he beca so bad in bed after that."
She scratches her head. She didn’t want to think bad about Alfred and think sothing happened. But she can’t help but think about it. It was like he got bored already on their relationship.
Standing from the bed and picking up the clothes on the floor, she can’t help but get frustrated. There seems to be sothing wrong with Alfred, especially with his libido. Compared to before, he does not get excited so easily and he acts like he is...Selena quickly realized it.
"Don’t tell ...did Alfred beco impotent?!"
She can’t deny it, Alfred’s actions do indicate and align with how most impotent n usually do according to so won that she has talked to.
But that should be impossible! After all, her sister got pregnant. She should also be capable of being pregnant and besides, she was not the impotent one as she had already had a checkup before for preparation in case she got pregnant and the results were what she expected to be.
Now, she has so suspicions. Alfred has been so bad lately and he only gets a bit energetic during tis when he drinks so tonic but other than that, he is very cold to her. She wanted to ask him about this matter but she is not that convinced either.
No, I must have just been imagining things, she thought. She sighed and went to the bathroom to take a bath soon. She didn’t have a good night last night and having a warm shower could lessen her frustration.

Sowhere in the realm of gods, the Goddess of Fertility and Pregnancy is currently observing the situation that is happening between Alfred and his new partner Selena at the mont. Her assistant, the Marriage God was surprised to learn about this matter.
"Goddess? You removed the fertility of that guy?" the Marriage God was surprised.
"Hmm, not really. But I also made sure that he would not be able to do anything with his seeds. You can say that his seeds do still work but before they can even properly produce offspring, they will not be ford in the process due to how defective his genes have beco."
"Was it really necessary to do so?" he asked.
"Yes. He should at least shoulder a bit of a punishnt as a result of breaking his vows. You should know about it since you witnessed the vows they did when they held their wedding."
The Marriage God sighed. As the Goddess of Fertility and Pregnancy said, the guy himself broke it and perhaps as a way to get back to the guy himself, she decided to take advantage of it and punished him unknowingly. As much as he wants to sigh about this, he decided to just ignore this matter and just move on. And he can agree that they deserve the punishnt.
