Chapter 246: The Shadow Calamity XXIII
“Phew, at least it’s gotten quiet now.”
Grimm stood on the protruding rock on top of the lava lake. The splash of boiling hot lava left a track of extre heat on the rock. Grimm’s sorcerer’s barrier was able to hold them off.
Concealed within the magical array, Grimm raised his head and saw the red trails that were still burning with fire elental energy in the sky. He quietly breathed a sigh of relief and cald himself down. He took out a chanical sphere from his chest.
Clank! Clank!
The chanical produced a scraping sound before it spread out like a lted candle. It revealed a glass shield as it projected five faint beams in a flash.
“Hmm? These rays...”
Grimm wasn’t as well versed in Light Sorcery, but the strange lights that appeared from the chanical sphere caught his attention.
These rays of light could actually penetrate physical materials. After a certain distance, the lights were hard to detect.
Faintly, these light rays were also flickering in an exaggerated frequency to convey so kind of ssage similar to a coded signals of a sensor. But due to Grimm’s limited level of sensing, he could not physically detect them.
“These are Mass Speckles. The secret to the ancient sorcerers’ research on controlling the chanical marionette legions from long-distances.”
Myna explained as it gazed on the chanical sphere while perched on top of Grimm’s shoulder.
But obviously, this chanical sphere didn’t belong to the Battle Command of Ancient Sorcerers. It was probably a new gadget developed by the current generation of sorcerers who applied the sa theory behind it.
Light Sorcery was extraordinary. A sorcerer who had mastered light sorcery would be adept in teleportation and speed, as well as so exceptional skills in handling certain sorcery gadgets and materials.
Grimm took out his crystal ball and started to wait quietly.
Monts later, a ssage ca across the crystal ball. There was a surge of magical energy to indicate that they were connected. An image of an old, wrinkly sorcerer appeared.
“Hmm? So I am the second to be in position? Seems like they’ve t up quite the trouble.” The old sorcerer looked at Grimm and smiled as he stroked his beard.
Faced with the Bright Sorcerer’s lively expressions, Grimm rely nodded beneath his Mask of Truth. His expression was as expected of a Dark Sorcerer.
During the exchange, a signal was connected to the crystal ball. Another one of the Demon Hunters was in position...
Three hourglasses later, the white-bearded sorcerer was the last to be in position as he rode on his elk. The Demon-hunting Sorcerers who were well hidden across the great Sacred Lava Mountain managed to secure the coordinates to their magical hexagram array through their communication devices.
According to the sorcery intelligence reports from the Battle Command, as long as the Infinite Crimson Sun Seal fell within the boundaries of the spatial sensing magic, the sorcerers who were located at the nodes would be able to sense its presence after activating the magic and triggering a dinsional ripple.
As the information and data overlapped, a high sorcerer, through his advanced knowledge of spatial calculation could locate the well-hidden mystical land from the information with high probability.
To this world, the mystical land was of no less important than the secrets of the sorcerer world’s fate of the fulcrum.
All six Demon-hunting Sorcerers took out their quills and used the strange chanical sphere as their base point and through spatial sorcery began to draw up mystical runes that ford a magical node on a spatial tablet. The magical array was turned into a vortex by the mystical lights from the chanical sphere and vanished in a distance.
Previously, it took Grimm two hours to finish the process while practising in the enclosed room. Now, under Grimm’s intense concentration, he finished the process a bit ahead of schedule.
Like countless spider silks from the air that ford a huge spider web, strings of gentle and faint sensing tentacles covered the area.

The six Demon-hunting Sorcerers collectively breathed a sigh of relief. They remained at their position as they waited in silence.
Once they have activated the Infinite Crimson Sun Seal in the Sacred Lava Mountain and collected the data, Grimm’s mission would be complete.
Fierce battles were still raging on in the outside world, yet the six Demon-hunting Sorcerers were trying their best to conceal themselves. They even felt dull and bored at tis.
Grimm raised his head and looked at the damaged opening on the sacred lava mountain.
The Sacred Lava Mountain was like a giant spring where boiling hot golden lavas flowed out from the damaged opening. The flow of the river gushed downward to form the lava lake where Grimm was standing. Occasionally, fire creatures that lived in this pure lava would jump out from the surface of the lake.
Unquestionably, the center of the fiery world was right at this Sacred Lava Mountain, and also...the void fortress of the sorcerer’s world that was parked right on top of the sacred mountain!
The void fortress was too far away. As Grimm looked up, it appeared like a blood-colored sphere. He wasn’t aware of what was happening up there, but the sights at the sacred mountain was terrifying.
The Amonros that ca from the shadow world were affected by the principles of this world and couldn’t unleash their full power. Hence, innurable groups of Amonros poured into the crater of the Sacred Lava Mountain like waves. There was no gap between them and their battles were quick, blocked only by the humongous bodies of the lava giant that were frantically resisting their advances.
According to intelligence reports, the interior of the Sacred Lava Mountain was an important new land for the Lava Giant clan.
Lava Giants that had dispersed into nurous fragnts of rocks and corpses of charred Amonros would sotis fall down from the sky.
Badumsh! Badumsh! Badumsh...
Huge fragnts of rocks and Amonros’ corpses frequently fell into the lava lake beside Grimm, causing the lake to bubble like a pot of boiling water.
Grimm and the other five Demon-hunting Sorcerers held their breaths and waited patiently.
The wait went on for three days.
Three days later, with cruel eyes, Grimm destroyed a Lava Giant that had discovered the hidden rock. Suddenly, the brunette girl sorceress’s scream could be heard from the crystal ball that was hovering in front of him. A group of Amonros had discovered her position after the rock that blocked the entrance to her temporary cave was blasted open.
“Bowscurtin!”
After the girl’s shocking scream, a violent expression briefly appeared across her face. A huge fire elental bear appeared outside with a roar. The huge bear that was engulfed in flas swung its paw wildly. The Amonros that had discovered the cave entrance were turned into shreds in an instant. Montary peace was restored.
“Do we need to change the coordinates of the nodes?” An elder sorcerer asked in a concerned manner.
“No! If the Infinite Crimson Sun Seal was activated when we shift coordinates, our mission would fail and we would lose our chance to et the great Stigmata Sorcerers.” The Dark Sorcerer that had six floating Jack-o’-Lanterns vehently refused. His boiling orange aura was emanating wildly.
At this mont, the difference between a Bright and Dark Sorcerer was clear.
The little brunette Bright sorceress was hesitating and showed a troubled face. She bit her lip, with a burning fireball still on her palm.
“Hey! That’s...”
Suddenly, the sorcerer who had an elk behind him yelled out in shock. The rest of the sorcerers that had a view above looked up as well.
Dark clouds were covering the skies as the sunlight started to disappear.
Grimm shouted,” Impossible! The Shadow Calamity has actually spread here?”
Myna was also in shock and shouted as it pointed in a direction,” Look there!”
Above the skies, a huge, terrifying-looking bloodied creature was slowly approaching from the depths of the shadows. Its body was teeming with countless tentacles and swinging about endlessly. It was difficult to see its face, and the rest of its body remained hidden.
The top of the creature was crawling with innurable figures of Amonros.
