Early the next morning, Baiyu was already prepared. Boss Bei had several large trucks set on the main road of Black Water Bay, and around thirty of his n, all heavily ard, stood ready.

"Hurry up, put these things on the truck. Slow down and I'll take your life."

Limping San was directing this group to load things onto the trucks, large and small boxes, filled with various weapons, ammunition, and food, enough to feed a truckload of people for a week.

Soon enough.

Boss Bei, accompanied by Earth Fire, arrived at the scene, greeting Baiyu: "Mr. Bai, I'm ready now. We can set off at any ti. I hope there won't be any unexpected incidents on this journey."

"There definitely won't be, Boss Bei. What you need to do is quite simple, just lead the way for us. You don't need to bring so many people along. This way, it would create an even larger target," Baiyu said with a smile.

Boss Bei shook his head: "Mr. Bai, on the wasteland, the bigger the target, the safer it is. Those wandering scavengers and treasure hunters only prey on solitary individuals. They generally don't attack larger groups.

For a group of our size, they wouldn't even entertain the thought; instead, they would avoid us. Any faction with the capability to challenge us would know the na Black Water Bay and weigh the pros and cons of targeting us."

With Boss Bei's confidence, Baiyu had nothing more to say.

He never once ntioned that his fear was of the treasure hunters and scavengers on the wasteland; he was genuinely concerned about his classmates who hailed from the sa school.

But with Boss Bei's assertion, Baiyu couldn't counter it. The primary goal now was to locate the Pure White Commune. Loloya hadn't spoken for days, anwhile, the nightly death records continued to surge.

At present, only about forty students remained.

Lying motionless, Baiyu managed to eliminate a student manipulating wind and sand extraordinary abilities, surviving effortlessly till now, which was quite impressive. However, the upcoming journey estimated every encounter to be a fierce battle.

The previous easy targets have almost been eliminated.

Now, those who remain are all elites.

Baiyu, along with Wang Shenghua and Cangying, boarded the truck, as Boss Bei gathered a group of bodyguards and filled up all eight heavy trucks.

Totaling forty people.

Along with the materials loaded on several trucks.

This convoy was sufficient to rebuild a dium-sized settlent.

...

The convoy of eight heavy trucks had mounted heavy machine guns on the leading and trailing trucks.

Such powerful firepower ensured the convoy's smooth transit along the way.

Baiyu spent two days resting on the truck, alternating between eating and sleeping. Life in the convoy was dull, mainly driving, with little to no other activities. The daily als consisted of various compressed and preserved foods.

Though each al included at, compared to the holy Purple Crystal School's catering, it fell exceedingly short.

"Let's rest up ahead; we won't be continuing tonight."

Observing the sky gradually darkening.

Boss Bei instructed everyone.

The forty-mber team disembarked from the trucks, forming a circle with the eight trucks, setting up a large pot in the center, filled with large chunks of at. The broth splattered, continuously bubbling with a rumbling sound.

The aroma began to waft out.

Everyone was quite excited, gathered around the pot, chatting away, creating a boisterous atmosphere.

Baiyu sat aside, chatting with Boss Bei: "Are we not continuing the journey tonight?"

Boss Bei nodded: "After two days without rest, it's ti to let them recover for a while. The drivers can't withstand such high-intensity work, besides, nightfall easily leads to incidents. The night wasteland isn't as tranquil as it seems."

Baiyu refrained from asking further; it was best to leave such matters to professionals.

They were close to the Pure White Commune, a re three days away, having endured so long, a few days more wouldn't matter.

After chatting with Boss Bei for a while, Baiyu returned to his tent, finding the Grand Commander wearing an expression of utter despair.

Wang Shenghua and Cangying were in another tent.

Both were separately monitored to ensure nothing could go wrong.

"Don't worry, once this matter is resolved, I'll let you go. Wildfire is still yours, and there won't be any issues with the Resistance Army for the ti being."

Inside the tent, Baiyu spoke while resting.

The Grand Commander's grievances were beyond words; indeed, a resistance organization wouldn't face issues temporarily even in the leader's absence. However, this premise relied on a healthy resistance organization. And what about the current Wildfire?

The Third Commander was missing, presumably dead.

The Second Commander was also dead, personally taken down by Baiyu; a large number of Wildfire veteran elites were lost in this battle.

The current Wildfire was a fragnted ss.

Without him, returning to Wildfire's headquarters after a few days, it might turn into a junkyard depot.

"What? Don't you trust or have other thoughts?" Baiyu asked.

The Grand Commander quickly waved his hand: "No, no, I don't have any, I just hope after finding the destination, you'll let leave."

"Rest assured, I've always kept my word." Baiyu said calmly.

The Grand Commander could only cling to this hope.

Just as the two intended to rest, a commotion erupted outside.

Baiyu instantly opened his eyes, stepping out of the tent.

Outside, chaos ensued; everyone from various tents rushed out ard, with looks of anxiety.

Boss Bei walked over solemnly: "We're under attack by a large group of scavengers; it seems very likely these scavengers aren't normal, potentially being controlled. My n are resisting, although handling it isn't too difficult, if soone truly powerful erges, I might not be able to handle it."

Baiyu furrowed his brows: "Boss Bei, aren't you a Level Two Mutant? I assu most aren't your match."

Boss Bei appeared slightly awkward: "Uh, although that's the case, who knows the power of the mastermind behind this. If it turns out they're as skilled as you, I wouldn't have a way."

Baiyu glanced at him, "If soone erges whom you can't handle, I'll intervene."

Boss Bei nodded repeatedly.

By this ti, a firefight had broken out all around; a large number of raggedly dressed n and won began assaulting the convoy. Gunfire echoed nonstop, bullets tearing through the scavengers' bodies, ruthlessly claiming lives.

But after a large batch of scavengers perished, another group of frenzied wild beasts continued the assault.

Boss Bei's n soon experienced casualties.

In the shadows.

Two cold pairs of eyes were fixed on Baiyu in the convoy center, teeming with deadly intent.
