Not long after Wild Wolf and his group left, Baiyu's figure appeared in the small temple. He looked at the ss everywhere, with all the elixirs and spirit rice having been picked clean, and felt a slight sense of pity in his heart—they had all been wasted.
His gaze shifted to the heights above Immortal Peak Temple.
From the mont he entered Immortal Peak Temple, he recognized the characters on the stone tablet—they were the Chinese characters from the Great Glutton Imperial!
This made Baiyu even more certain that Canglan Star was Earth!
He hadn't crossed into a parallel universe; instead, he had traveled into the future of Earth, to an Earth so many unknown years later.

Baiyu furrowed his brows, did not linger, and began to follow the path Wild Wolf and his group had taken, heading towards the mountain top at the back.

He arrived at the mountain-top temple, which was much larger than the others. Golden light continuously shone atop the temple, with waves of rich spiritual qi cascading down, making people feel like they were bathing in a sea of spiritual qi.

However, at that mont, a scream pierced through the calm of the temple. Baiyu followed the sound, quickly passing through the front hall of the temple and arriving at the main hall. Inside this main hall were nurous gilded Buddha statues.
These statues appeared ancient and majestic, full of grandeur, yet upon closer inspection, one could find that the features of these statues seed filled with an aura of evil, making one feel increasingly uncomfortable.
Atop the temple.
A golden fireball continuously radiated light, casting it upon these Buddha statues, making it seem as though the Buddha light illuminated all.
Baiyu did not rashly approach.
He instinctively felt that these Buddha statues were dangerous, and the golden fireball above even more so; it was better not to make contact for the ti being.
In the very center of the main hall, on the largest ditation cushion, sat an old monk, reciting scriptures incessantly toward an ancient blue and white porcelain bowl in front of him. The old monk, as if tireless, frenziedly chanted scriptures, the ancient and majestic verses instilling a sense of tranquility and eternity.
This was an enlightened monk!
However, this monk showed no signs of life or any aura, as though he were a dead object that did not belong here.
This was just a phantom!
Baiyu quickly determined that this monk's figure was rely a phantom, or perhaps a lingering obsession from his life. It seed as though he was trying to transcend this bowl of water, an exceedingly strange action that left one completely baffled as to what extraordinary technique he was performing.
Baiyu intended to step forward to see what exactly the monk was trying to transcend, such that his posthumous obsession remained so strong after countless years, clearly an incredibly important matter.
However.
Just as Baiyu took a step, a voice called to him from behind, halting him: "Don't look into that bowl, great terror will ensue, you must not look!"
The speaker used the common tongue, evidently a modern person.
Baiyu turned his head to see a tall man clad in bright silver armor, his face full of urgency, with fresh blood abundantly covering his armor, the pungent scent of blood detectable even from afar.
This was Anthony, the knight from the previous group!
Since they entered the temple, Baiyu hadn't seen any trace of them, and unexpectedly, now only one remained.
"I told you not to step forward, did you not hear? Damn it, stop! If you want to die, I'm not accompanying you!"
Anthony shouted indignantly.
Yet Baiyu did not stop, and seeing this, Anthony could no longer hold back. He exclaid, drawing his knight's sword, imbued with shining light, and struck at Baiyu. He knew very well just how bizarre that bowl of water was.
His companions, upon nearing the bowl of water, fought to take a sip, and then instantly went mad, indiscriminately attacking others, their strength surging remarkably, fearless unto death, utterly uncontrollable.
And once the water in the bowl was consud, it would reappear in its original place.
Anthony, being at the back of the group, avoided stepping within the vicinity of the ditation cushion, thus narrowly escaping this catastrophe. But now, with Baiyu about to proceed, he couldn't sit back and do nothing; if this fool insisted on going forward, it was better to kill him first.

A violent explosion sounded nearby, the great blade instantly cleaving through the temple entrance, debris and splinters flying. Shocked by this terrifying force, Anthony hurriedly fled the temple, retreating to the courtyard.

Baiyu strode onto the bluestone floor of the temple with a powerful step, cracking it in a web-like pattern, charging forward like a raging dragon, delivering another blow. This strike leveled half of the courtyard wall, through the scattering stones, Anthony scrambled up to the rooftop, his upper armor completely shattered!
This treasured armor, a family heirloom passed down through Anthony's lineage, had absorbed power from each knight of every generation. It had just now warded off a fatal blow, but he didn't know what to use to block the next.
But Baiyu gave him no ti to ponder.
Watching Baiyu pounce onto the beam like a fierce tiger, the great blade gleaming coldly in his hand, Anthony's resolve collapsed: "Master, big brother, spare , I'm not a ghost, I am human, I have valuable information, sparing will certainly be beneficial!"
