As Austin ditated, his brow furrowed in concentration, the artifacts in the room began to emit a soft glow.

The magic circle pulsed with energy, feeding into Austin’s body and slowly restoring his lost power.

His thoughts drifted to Valerian, the hybrid who had escaped his grasp and now posed a threat to his plans.

"That annoying demonic spirit," he muttered, his voice laced with venom."Using my daughter’s body yet not be obedient enough hand him over".

Austin’s eyes snapped open, a fierce determination burning in their depths.

"But soon," he whispered, a cruel smile twisting his lips.

"Soon, I will have the blood of that hybrid as well. And with it, I will regain my full strength and crush all who oppose ."

He rose from his ditation position, the glow from the artifacts casting eerie shadows across his face.

Austin stepped out of the magic circle, his movents graceful and powerful despite his status as a crippled Mage.

Austin’s eyes narrowed as he entered his study and found phistopheles waiting for him, a smirk playing on her lips.

"What do you need?" he asked coldly, his voice dripping with disdain.

phistopheles chuckled softly, her purple eyes gleaming with mischief.

"Oh, Austin,"she purred, rising from the chair she had been lounging in.

"Always so direct." She began to circle him slowly, her movents deliberate and graceful.

"I’ve co to offer you a deal," phistopheles said, her voice low and seductive.

"A chance to regain what you’ve lost - your power, your status, your revenge." She stopped in front of him, tilting her head to the side as she studied his reaction.

"But it cos at a price,"she continued, her smirk widening.

Austin’s eyes flashed with a mix of suspicion and curiosity. "What price?" he demanded, his voice sharp and commanding.

phistopheles laughed, a low, husky sound that sent shivers down Austin’s spine.

"Oh, nothing too steep,"she said, her tone dripping with false innocence. "Just a small favor, really."

She stepped closer to him, invading his personal space.

"I want you to leave Valerian alone," phistopheles said, her voice suddenly serious.

"Let him go, forget about him, and I’ll make sure you regain everything you’ve lost - and more." Her purple eyes bored into his, challenging him to refuse.

"And in return,"she continued, her voice dropping to a whisper.

"You’ll owe a debt. A favor to be called in at a later date."

phistopheles smiled sweetly, but there was a dangerous glint in her eye.

"Do we have a deal?"

It wasn’t the plan...

phistopheles knew that, but she also didn’t want to continue that suicidal plan which depended on Luck and possibility of help arriving.

So she made a offer that Austin will hopefully accept and leave Valerian alone.

’Though I won’t be able regain my freedom’ she thought with sadness.

But upon witnessing Valerian’s crazy potential she didn’t want his story to end here.

"Hahaha! You? Help regain my power? Surely you don’t take for a fool who’ll believe a Demonic spirit’s words".

Austin’s laughter echoed through the room, cold and mocking.

"How about I free you,"he said, his tone dripping with condescension.

"And you give Valerian?" He smirked, clearly expecting phistopheles to refuse his ridiculous offer.

Since it was apparent that she was ready to sacrifice her freedom for him.

But to his surprise, phistopheles didn’t imdiately deny him. Instead, she tilted her head, considering his words carefully.Austin’s smirk faltered slightly, uncertainty flickering in his eyes.

"You know,"phistopheles said slowly, her voice thoughtful. "That’s an interesting proposition."

She began to pace around the room, her heels clicking against the floor.

"You are a demon after all, I believe your earlier preposition was due to the influence of my daughter" Austin smiled in satisfaction as he muttered "I almost thought you were being manipulated by that Man"

"A demon like , manipulated by a Man?"she mused aloud.

"It’s unheard of."She stopped suddenly, turning to face Austin with a wicked grin.

"But then again,"phistopheles continued, her purple eyes gleaming with mischief. "I don’t mind being manipulated by him"

She mumbled the last part very quietly making Austin unable hear it even with his enhanced senses.

"Anyways I’ll only lend him for a day and you’ll have to get him on your own aswell" phistopheles made a look of acceptance but with a condition.

Austin’s eyes widened in shock at phistopheles’ unexpected response.

"You... you’ll lend him to for a day?" he repeated, disbelief coloring his voice.

He had fully expected her to refuse, to laugh in his face and remind him of the futility of manipulating a demon.

But phistopheles was smiling, a calculating expression on her face.

"Yes,"she said slowly, drawing out the word. "I quite love my new toy, as you put it. But I’m willing to share him - for the price you proposed." Her purple eyes locked onto Austin’s, challenging him.

"And I don’t want any deception,"phistopheles continued, her voice firm.

"Remove the binding seal on Isabella’s body. Free her from your dirty hands," she spat the last words, her tone laced with contempt.

"Do that, and I’ll lend Valerian to you for twenty-four hours."

The Binding seal phistopheles was talking about was sothing Austin placed on his daughter to both monitor and Control her.

But after phistopheles possessed Isabella Austin could only Force the seal to Weaken phistopheles.

And it was sothing Austin would not normally accept but...

’I can finally Regain my forr glory’ Greed had already clouded his mind.

Austin’s mind raced as he considered phistopheles’ offer. The binding seal on Isabella was his trump card, a way to control and monitor his daughter - and by extension, phistopheles.

Removing it would leave him vulnerable, exposed. It went against every instinct he had.But the temptation was too great.

The promise of regaining his forr glory, of crushing those who had dared to defy him... it consud him.

Greed clouded his judgnt, blinding him to the potential consequences.

"So be it,"Austin said finally, his voice tight with barely contained excitent."I accept your terms, demon."He held out his hand, a cruel smile twisting his lips.

"Remove the seal, and Valerian is yours for a day. But mark my words - I will be watching. And if you try anything..." He left the threat hanging in the air between them.

Austin stood alone in his study, a mix of anticipation and unease churning in his gut. phistopheles’ disappearance left him with a sense of emptiness, as if the very air had been sucked out of the room.

He paced back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts of what was to co.

Twenty-four hours with Valerian - it was more than he could have hoped for.

The possibilities were endless. Drain his unique blood for his recovery, learn the hybrid’s secrets, exploit his weaknesses, and perhaps even turn him to his side.

Austin’s lips curled into a cruel smile at the thought.

But there was also the matter of phistopheles’ sudden compliance.

She had agreed too easily, too readily.

It didn’t sit right with him. What was she planning? What trap was she setting?

Austin shook his head, dismissing the doubts that crept into his mind.

No, he told himself firmly. This was his chance to reclaim what he had lost.

...

..

phistopheles appeared in the grand hall of her hidden mansion, her form materializing from the shadows.

She sighed softly, her gaze drifting towards the large window that overlooked the moonlit gardens.

The silvery light bathed her in a ethereal glow, casting long shadows across the ornate floor.

"Foolish man,"she murmured to herself, a hint of amusent in her voice. "He truly believes he’s outsmarted ."

phistopheles chuckled, a low, husky sound that echoed through the empty hall.

She knew Austin’s weakness - his greed, his arrogance. It was what made him so easy to manipulate.

But there was no denying the sense of unease that lingered at the edges of her mind.

Twenty-four hours with Valerian... it was a risk she hadn’t wanted to take. But it was a necessary one.

phistopheles took so ti to spend it calmly while gazing at moon with a look of sadness.

’If only I was stronger’ a thought common for many fools in the world echoed in her mind.

Then suddenly her calm trance was broken by the sound of Soft footsteps which echoed through the silence as a woman with hair as white as winter appeared.

It was Aisha—Valerian’s wife and as she rembered a revered Saintess.

’How fate is cruel for face her now’ she thought with a troubled look as rembered her own past.

"Why are you here?" phistopheles asked, her voice tinged with genuine curiosity.

Aisha didn’t answer imdiately.

She studied the demon for a long mont, her gaze piercing and steady.

Finally, she spoke.

"I was curious," Aisha said softly.

"I wanted to see how a forr Saintess lives as a demon... phistopheles. Or should I call you by your real na—Saintess Clarawahr Faust?"
