"Your what?!" I sputtered, my mind completely blank with utter confusion.
She just giggled at my response, a soft, mischievous sound.
Leaning in, she pressed a brief, sweet kiss to my cheek.
"Yes," she whispered, her voice a warm breeze against my skin.
"My husband, and I am your wife, Darling~" The words sounded like a lody in my ears, but their aning utterly baffled .
"H—" I started to question her ridiculous statent, but she cut off, pressing her lips against mine.
My voice was muffled as her hands circled my neck, pulling into a desperate embrace.
Her lips moved with a fervent intensity, her tongue slipping past my teeth to dance with my own.
The taste of her was intoxicating, a confusing mix of sweetness and sothing darker, more primal. My mind scread to reject it, but my body responded without question, an unusual attraction pulling in.
Her fingers threaded through my hair, gently pulling closer as she deepened the kiss.
When she finally broke away, we were both breathing heavily in the quiet alley.
Her pink eyes sparkled with a hint of mischief and a deep-seated desire.
"Don’t be confused, Darling," she whispered, her breath warm against my lips.
"It’s true." She spoke the words slowly, "We’re married. Husband and wife," enunciating each syllable as if explaining sothing to a child.
My mind reeled, trying to process the absurdity of it all. Married? When? A dozen questions swirled in my head, but only one mattered.
"Then will you please explain to properly about what you did to last night?" I asked, needing to understand what was happening to .
"Mmm, alright," she nodded. "But not here. It’s a long story." She hugged my waist, snuggling closer.
"Hug tight," she instructed, her voice gentle.
"I’ll teleport us from here." I subconsciously did as she told , and a purple magic circle appeared under our feet, its light illuminating the dark alley.
....
We appeared in what seed to be a luxurious apartnt room.
The air was cool and slled of expensive perfu, a stark contrast to the humid, gritty alley.
I looked out of the enormous window, and my jaw dropped.
The night lights of Paris twinkled below, and right there in front of was the lit-up Eiffel Tower.
"The fuck?!" I blurted out. "Why the fuck can I see the friggin’ Eiffel Tower from here?!"
She calmly took the shopping bags from my hand, a small amused smile on her face. "Silly," she said.
"Since I didn’t own a house in New Orleans we had to co here. Besides that woman’s dogs won’t find us for a while."
holding my hand tightly, she led into a pristine modern kitchen.
She placed the grocery bags on the counter with her free hand but struggled to open them.
She looked at , a silent question in her pink eyes. "Help with this?" she asked.
Without thinking, I used my free hand to hold the bags open.
I was still angry and confused, but a part of was already doing what she wanted.
We worked together in an awkward silence, our hands brushing against each other as we pulled the items out.
She placed a carton on the counter, and I saw a dozen cracked eggs. Their yolks were already mixing into a sloppy, yellow ss.
She simply shrugged and tossed the carton in the trash. "Good thing you bought these," she said, "or else we’d have to do with ordered food."
Then I began to process just what is happening and instinctively tried to take my hand back.
"Ahhnnn Argh!!"
However in response she gasped in panic.
Her entire body flinched back as if I had burned her, and she grabbed my hand with both of hers.
Her cheeks were flushed a deep red, and she let out a hot breath, her pink eyes wide and frantic.
She was like an addict who had their drug stolen and then found it again.
I realised... I was her drug.
"Don’t," she pleaded, her voice a fragile whisper. "Don’t leave my hand. I... I can’t be without you right now." Her grip on was trembling, a frantic desperate hold.
My voice softened with a hint of concern. "Hey," I said, my tone gentle. "It seems like you don’t want to leave or can’t stay away from . and it’s suspicious along with the fact you say we are married, Will you start talking now... about what happened last night?"
Her grip on my hand tightened even more. "I will," she said, looking at with a pained expression. "But... I beg you, don’t leave my hand...please!"
....
After hugging tightly and kissing deeply for almost a minute, she finally cald down.
While we prepared a al, she began to narrate her side of the story.
I hugged her from behind as she cut the bread to make toast.
It was an odd position, but I couldn’t be apart from her without her getting agitated.
As she worked, my mind started to wander.
Was this breakfast? Lunch? No, it should be dinner.
But why was it night here? Shouldn’t it still be dayti in Paris?
She seed to sense my confusion.
"Are you curious about the change in ti?" she asked in a soft voice, not even turning around.
"It’s because we stayed in the barrier, which can ss with spaceti for a bit."
"Wait, what?... You can control ti?!" I blurted out in surprise.
"No, I can’t," she explained.
"Controlling ti is not easy. That’s because of my ring, which has limited use." She showed a beautiful ring with a purple gem on her finger.
"So are you a demon? Like, really?" I asked, a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
I rembered her words about the underworld from our first encounter.
She nodded her head and said, "Yes, but to be precise..." An illusion seed to shatter. A pair of crimson horns sprouted from her head, and a tail with a spade end grew from her rear.
It all happened in an instant, an effortless transformation.
"It’s late," she said, turning to face with a knowing smile. "But allow to properly introduce myself. I am Liliana Lucifer, a succubus and the youngest daughter of the king of hell."
No way Damnit,
It seems like I was now Lucifer’s son-in-law.
Fuck!!
