The man was just about to get up when Mingyue freed one hand and swung the broom placed against the train wall at him. The broom hit the man square on the head. He blinked, rolled his eyes, and instantly passed out.
Yan Song glanced coldly at the man; it was indeed the sa guy who gave him the middle finger in the restaurant earlier. He figured that this man had run off but unexpectedly ended up delivering himself right to his door.
Hearing the commotion, quite a few people peeked out of their rooms, quietly observing the situation outside. Soon, the train attendant briskly approached. Having been previously alerted by Yan Song, the attendant said nothing and pulled out a prepared rope to tie the man up.
Yun Ya lifted her head from his embrace and saw a slit opened on his sleeve, revealing his skin covered in a bloody laceration, blood dripping downwards.
Yun Ya imdiately grabbed his hand, looked at the wound, her eyes turning red: "Brother Yan, you’re injured."
Yan Song smiled and patted her head: "It’s nothing, just a flesh wound."
At that mont, the broadcast sounded; Pingyuan Station had arrived, and the train slowly ca to a stop.
Yun Ya saw a group of uniford police standing solemnly on the platform, drawing the attention of many onlookers.
After the train stopped, the police stood right at the door of this car, and a large number of security guards moved in to stop passengers from boarding, allowing the police to enter unhindered.
Yun Ya tore off a piece of her skirt and quickly bandaged him up when a group of police officers sped in. The leading officer, a man in his thirties with a square face, extended his hand to Yan Song: "Comrade, I’m Chen Xing, Captain of the Pingyuan City Police Bureau First Narcotics Brigade. It’s thanks to your help we managed to catch these drug traffickers. Thank you for your support and cooperation in our work."
Yan Song replied stoically, "It’s what I ought to do."
Chen Xing discreetly sized up the man, trying to guess his identity but couldn’t co up with anything aningful and decided not to dwell on it. This was clearly soone they couldn’t afford to provoke.
A policeman quickly walked out of the room, leaned in, and whispered in Chen Xing’s ear: "Captain, it’s precisely Wei Da Wei Er and a few others."
Chen Xing’s eyes lit up. This was one of the most notorious dostic drug syndicates, widely wanted across the country. He didn’t expect they’d run into them today.
"Take them away," Chen Xing commanded imdiately.
The police officers promptly went in to escort the individuals out, one by one.
Escorted along were two young boys. Seeing them, Chen Xing was montarily stunned, then glared at the group of despondent n, wishing he could kick them right there.
Using such young children was utterly despicable.
The two boys broke free from the police and ran straight to Yun Ya, shrinking behind her for shelter.
Chen Xing frowned.
Yun Ya comfortingly patted the children’s shoulders and said, "I need to take these two kids to the hospital imdiately. The drugs in their stomachs need to be removed as soon as possible, or their lives may be at risk."
As for the other n involved in drug smuggling, they were of no concern to Yun Ya at all.
Chen Xing didn’t know who this girl was, wrapped in a scarf that obscured her face, but her voice was indeed enchanting. Glancing at the man beside her, he nodded: "The ambulance is outside. Xiao Wang, Xiao Zhang, you both accompany them to the hospital. The rest will co back to the station with ."
Chen Xing appointed two people to go to the hospital with Yun Ya and Yan Song. The director ca out to greet them personally, and Yue Songlan, Zhao Zhuo, and Murong Zhu were taken by doctors to have a CT scan. Yun Ya was about to follow when a doctor frowned at her: "Family mbers must wait outside."
Yun Ya replied coldly, "I am a doctor myself. Let in."
Having to wait an hour for the scans, she needed to know the CT results as fast as possible, especially for Murong Zhu—the child could not afford to wait.
The female doctor looked her up and down. Although her face was obscured by a headscarf and she seed very young, she disdainfully said, "You’re a doctor? More like a dical student. Stop causing trouble here." With that, she turned to leave.
Yan Song’s eyes narrowed, ready to act, while Yun Ya glanced at Mingyue. In an instant, Mingyue moved like lightning; the woman’s body stiffened and she fainted instantly.
Yun Ya pulled off the woman’s white coat and put it on herself with ease and poise, walking inside as she did. After a few steps, she turned and said to Yan Song, "Brother Yan, wait here for ."
Yan Song nodded, looking deeply into her eyes: "Alright."
Yun Ya smiled and walked quickly inside.
The CT results showed that Zhao Zhuo and Yue Songlan were fine, and the drugs could be expelled using laxatives, though they’d suffer a bit. However, Murong Zhu’s condition was much more severe. From his stomach to rectum, there were nurous densely packed, oval foreign objects. At so point in the rectum, changes had occurred... His stomach was experiencing massive bleeding, requiring imdiate surgery. Every second delay ant the child might not survive.
