Yan Xing squinted his eyes and leaned in: "You actually know my brother?"

Yan He shyly smiled.

At this mont, Yan Hua walked in from outside the door, arm-in-arm with a young girl. The girl’s steps were steady and composed, her clothes fluttering elegantly, like a graceful lotus, her eyebrows delicate like a painting, exuding elegance and capturing everyone’s attention.

Everyone couldn’t help but stare in awe.

Dongfang Yi curled her lips in a light smile.

Jiang Hanbi sat drinking tea, as if she hadn’t noticed.

Yan He averted her gaze quickly, feeling stabbed by the crowd’s eyes.

Yan Xing huffed lightly and turned her head away haughtily.

The others snapped out of their daze and glared jealously at her face, quickly realizing who she was — wasn’t she Ji Yunya, the main character of their recent gossip?

"I apologize for making everyone wait, I’m late." Yan Hua smiled at the crowd.

Yan Lan, who most disliked lingering with these ladies, had already slipped away.

Dongfang Yi smiled and walked over to hold Yun Ya’s hand, "Well, this is Miss Ji I’ve been talking to you about, isn’t she outstanding? No wonder Third Lady likes her so much, even I find her particularly likable."

Inside, Yun Ya mocked, this woman never misses a chance to sow enmity against her, and sure enough, as soon as Dongfang Yi finished speaking, the won’s eyes filled with jealousy.

"Miss Dongfang, you exaggerate." Yun Ya smiled gracefully, remaining calm and pleasant as water.

"Sister Yun Ya, no need to be modest; we are all peers, and you are the daughter-in-law personally chosen by Third Lady. Once you marry into Capital City, we’ll see each other often."

"Nothing is set in stone yet, Miss Dongfang, please don’t spread rumors." Yun Ya discreetly withdrew her hand.

Dongfang Yi’s smile remained unchanged: "Oh, my mouth just can’t be controlled, Sister Yun Ya, don’t take offense."

"Playing coy now, aren’t you even aware of your status, using seductive tricks to lure Yan Ke, and now pretending to be innocent here." The speaker was Miss Zhao, Zhao Ting.

"Miss Zhao, may I ask, what is your status?" Yan Hua calmly countered.

Zhao Ting faltered, then puffed her chest and replied, "My dad is Zhao Gang."

Yan Hua looked at her mockingly: "That’s your dad, not you. Besides bullying others at school using your dad’s influence, what else can you do? And what about Yun Ya? She doesn’t rely on anyone and is currently the richest person in Asia, holding wealth that you couldn’t spend in eight lifetis. What gives you the right to criticize soone more diligent and self-reliant than you?"

Yun Ya gently tugged at Yan Hua’s hand, shaking her head slightly.

Yan Hua, often seen as a delicate beauty, surprised everyone by being so incisive; Dongfang Yi couldn’t help but look at her a few more tis, realizing Yan Hua had sharper words than expected.

Zhao Ting’s eyes reddened with fury, pointing at Yun Ya: "Yan Hua, you dare speak to like that for a re rchant’s daughter?"

Yan Hua calmly pried her hand away: "Watch your language, there are no social hierarchies among people. What defines noble and base? Whether military, political, or entrepreneurial, fundantally we are equals; what grants you moral superiority to criticize others? Yes, your father is a high official, but who gave him his powers? The people, yet you look down on the people. If your father knew this, don’t you think he’d slap you awake?"

"Yan Hua." Zhao Ting stomped her foot, fiercely glaring at Yun Ya, "Just you wait." With that, she stord out.

"Miss Zhao." Yan Xing glared at Yan Hua: "Second Sister, you made Miss Zhao angry and she left." With that, she chased after her.

Yan Hua smiled gently, holding Yun Ya’s hand: "I won’t let anyone bully my friends."

Yun Ya felt warmth in her heart; Yan Hua was genuinely standing up for her.

Dongfang Yi smiled, "With Huahua as such a good friend, Miss Ji, you are truly lucky."

Yun Ya smiled, "Indeed, I’m lucky."

Yan He frowned slightly, glancing at Yun Ya, who just happened to be looking back with a subtle mocking gaze, frightening Yan He enough to quickly look away.

Yun Ya lightly curled her lips, you’ve had your chance; now you’ve brought this upon yourself.

Soon, Yan Xing walked in from outside, angrily comnting, "Second Sister, it’s your fault Zhao Ting left."

"Did she go ho?"

"Yes. Why did you speak to her like that? You know her personality, she tolerates anything but losing face. Letting her say a few more words wouldn’t cost you anything, and if she goes back to her dad and complains, Dad will surely scold you." Yan Xing said dissatisfied, glaring at Yun Ya, blaming her, thinking if it weren’t for her, Second Sister wouldn’t have quarreled with Zhao Ting; their father already disliked them enough, if her sister were reprimanded, she wondered how to handle Yun Ya.
