Yun Ya didn’t turn her head, just paused for a mont, and her knife fell without hesitation.

The next mont, a black shadow rushed over quickly, snatching the kitten from her grasp.

Yun Ya moved her nose slightly, as the scent of the wind brought a whiff of fragrance, like the sll of sunlight and grass mixed together, pleasant to the nose.

Yan Song had a severe case of mysophobia, almost to the point of pathology.

She squatted without moving, her head slightly drooping, appearing sowhat silent.

The youth held the cat by the ears, lifting the kitten up and scrutinizing it with a frown.

With no foothold, the kitten flailed its limbs in a desperate wail.

"Tch... filthy to death," the disdain in his tone was unmistakable; he turned his frowning gaze toward the girl squatting on the ground, "Hey, which class are you from? Carrying a restricted blade to school, such a young girl, and yet so cruel to a kitten, are you ntally ill?"

The voice was so arrogantly sharp.

Yun Ya slowly stood up, not in a hurry to lift her head, but leisurely straightening her clothing’s hem with an indescribable elegance in even the simplest gesture.

Seeing this, the youth’s frown deepened, "Are you deaf or dumb, didn’t you hear asking you?"

Yun Ya’s brows lightly furrowed, still not looking up, her voice faintly said, "I’m very normal."

The girl’s voice sounded as lovely as wind chis tinkling in the breeze, crisp and pleasant, also carrying an indifferent laziness, as if currents of electricity coursing through the body upon hearing it.

Yan Song paused, taken aback.

The young girl slowly lifted her head.

The sun shone diagonally from the sky, dazzling enough to make one squint subconsciously.

Standing under the sun, she was cloaked in a layer of soft light, her skin almost transparent in the sunlight, her pair of jet-black, bright eyes shimring with a gentle luster, like the vast starry sky, as mysterious as the deep sea, carrying the power to devour souls, plunging everyone who saw her into that enigmatic and profound world.

By the ti Yan Song realized he had been staring, he shifted his gaze towards the trash bin behind her, and then back again with disgust.

"So, not mute, after all." His thin lips curved with a chilly arc, adding a few strokes of breathtaking coldness to that handso face, those peach blossom eyes revealing ridicule, his chin lifting with a proud deanor.

Yan Song in front of others, sunny and amiable, flawless.

Yan Song behind them... the essence within his bones was not lost with ti, mischievously bad and arrogantly wanton.

Still exactly the sa as when he was a child.

Yun Ya sighed softly, her eyes filled with pity for the kitten crying in despair within his grasp.

"You’re about to strangle it," she said.

Yan Song coldly smiled, "That’s still better than you stabbing it to death with a knife."

It was then he realized sothing was amiss; this girl wasn’t wearing a school uniform, "Aren’t you a student from No.1 High School?"

"No." Yun Ya looked up at him, "If you don’t let go soon, it really will be strangled to death."

The concern in the girl’s eyes seed genuine, and Yan Song subconsciously loosened his grip. The kitten suddenly fell towards the ground, but Yun Ya swiftly bent down to catch it, fortunately, just the mont before the kitten made an intimate contact with the ground, she scooped it up into her arms.

The kitten nuzzled against Yun Ya’s embrace, owing pitifully as if it had suffered so grievous mistreatnt.

Yun Ya patted its back to soothe it.

Perhaps it was Yun Ya’s gentle aura that made the kitten feel no danger, and it gradually cald down, snuggling compliantly in her arms.

Yan Song raised an eyebrow; was this cat sick, getting so close to the one who almost killed it? Did it know he had saved it?

He glared fiercely at the cat, which flinched and quickly burrowed into Yun Ya’s embrace.

Now wasn’t the right ti for surgery, without anesthesia, antiseptic, or bandages, rashly operating might lead to infection, which could be worse than being crippled. Moreover, Yan Song’s interruption had ruined any chance of continuing.

Yun Ya didn’t explain and instead prepared to leave, cradling the kitten in her arms. Yan Song instinctively reached out and grabbed her arm, the soft touch making him freeze montarily, but as Yun Ya’s clear eyes t his, he quickly let go.

"Are you running away in a panic? Or are you planning to find a secluded place to harm the kitten again?" he said with mockery.

Yun Ya didn’t want to entangle with him any longer. He hadn’t recognized her; perhaps it was best to leave it that way, quite good indeed.

In this lifeti, to each their own path, we owe nothing to each other, let us foster our joys separately.
