The pair of excited eyes that resembled those of soone seeing their idol left Su Zhiyuan speechless. Just as he was about to say sothing, he thought better of it and swallowed his words.

Instead, he asked, "I rember the Ji Family had a little miss, didn’t they?"

Mrs. Su was taken aback, thought carefully, and said, "It seems there was one." Mrs. Su narrowed her eyes and sifted through mories of bygone years: "Miss Ji gave birth to twins that year, a boy and a girl, and it caused quite a stir. Everyone envied her good fortune, but happiness turned to grief when her son was found to be born deaf and mute. I was the head of the departnt then, and she used her connections to have check on him. The child was truly beautiful, a pity he was born with a disability." She shook her head in sympathy.

Mrs. Su continued, "That little girl, on the other hand, was quite healthy. Miss Ji even specifically took her to the hospital to check if there was sothing wrong with her brain, and they found that the girl’s IQ was far above her peers, a ’Little Prodigy’ indeed. Back then, Miss Ji would carry her daughter around proudly, afraid that people wouldn’t know just how excellent her daughter was. But I must say, I’ve seen that little girl before, truly a rarity in her smart and agile way, different from her mother’s sharp and flamboyant style. This girl was very reserved and graceful. Just looking at her face, you could tell her future was extraordinary. What a pity, where is the Ji Family now..."

Su Zhiyuan narrowed his eyes: "If the twins have grown up, how old should they be now?"

Mrs. Su thought for a mont and said, "They should be around fifteen or sixteen. Why do you ask?"

Su Zhiyuan slapped his thigh: "That’s right, it all matches up. I knew that face looked sowhat familiar..."

"What are you talking about?" Mrs. Su asked curiously.

Su Zhiyuan waved his hand: "Don’t ask so many questions, you’ll find out in ti."

At that mont, a young boy holding a basketball walked in and asked with a smile, "Mom and Dad, what are you talking about?"

Seeing her son, Mrs. Su imdiately went over with a smile and, looking at his basketball outfit that left his arms and legs exposed, furrowed her brows and asked, "Aren’t you cold dressed like that?"

The young boy wore a pair of gold-rimd glasses, was tall and slim, appearing gentle and refined. He looked quite like Su Zhiyuan, who was sitting on the sofa; on hearing his mother’s question, he hooked his lips into a warm smile and replied, "I ran back ho, I’m burning up."

Mrs. Su couldn’t help but say, "That’s the easiest way to catch a cold. Hurry up and take a hot shower and change your clothes."

Carrying the basketball and his backpack, Su Jun quickly walked upstairs.

Erging from the basketball court, the school was already deserted, with only the feeble glow of scattered streetlights.

The cold wind blew, instantly dissipating much of the heat from his body.

His companions bid him farewell one after another.

Finding his bicycle, he pushed it leisurely toward the school exit.

Alone, especially in the silent depths of the night, was a good ti to think.

During the day, he had sneaked into the library to check: his situation the previous night was a normal physiological phenonon, commonly occurring among teenagers. There was nothing for him to be ashad of.

He had even covertly asked Su Jun, who told him it was normal and ntioned that he had experienced it himself at thirteen. Su Jun teased him for being an old virgin, glanced aningfully at his right hand, and by the ti he realized what Su Jun ant, he was so angry he called him shaless.

Suddenly, Su Jun wrapped an arm around his neck and teased with a grin, "Tell , are you secretly in love with so girl?"

At the ti, he panicked. It was a perfectly ordinary question, but he felt as if soone had touched a private matter, making him blush with annoyance. He fiercely shook off his hand, saying coldly, "What nonsense are you spouting?"

Su Jun raised an eyebrow: "Nonsense? Then tell who you were dreaming of? Don’t tell you dread about your mom, that would be a real joke."

Who did he dream of?

A sweet and well-behaved face appeared unexpectedly in his mind. The mory had grown sowhat vague, but it was etched so clearly in the depths of his heart that whenever he rembered her, he felt breathless.

The secret he was most embarrassed to disclose, if spoken, would make Su Jun think he was a pervert, a pedophile.

Suddenly, he thought of the girl he had t in the alley the day before, and his heart skipped a beat.

"I... I don’t know."

On the sports field, the young man’s expression was cool, drawing the screams of infatuated girls from afar, yet they didn’t realize how panicked and at a loss he felt inside.

A sly look flickered in Su Jun’s eyes behind his glasses, "Is it the girl from the alley that day? Too bad, I didn’t even see her face clearly, and you were as protective as if you were afraid I’d steal her away."

Yan Song suddenly ran off, regardless of Su Jun chasing frantically behind him. He ran around the sports field, as though he never tired, his robust and upright figure a stunning vista in all the girls’ eyes.
