What kind of crap detective agency is this, to use such thods to deceive her in investigating a person.
There’s not a single piece of useful information at all.
Calm down, she spread the paper open again.
On April 15th, she appeared at Jingdu International Airport. According to the flights at the ti, it was confird that she had co from New York in the United States. Three days later, she appeared at Jiangzhou Airport. A reporter who had been taking photos of Ming Han had accidentally captured her figure in the background, otherwise the detective wouldn’t have found this clue so quickly.
The only certainty was that Ji Yunya had indeed been overseas for these years and hadn’t returned from abroad until April 15th. The detective would need more ti and money to investigate her overseas activities.
What she had been doing in the country since returning, and who she had t, couldn’t be found out so quickly either. After thinking it over, Yun Shu decided to make a phone call.
"I’ve already transferred five hundred thousand to you. No matter the cost, you must thoroughly investigate..."
——
This was the first ti Cuicui had entered Yun Ya’s room. The black and white cool tones, simple and elegant, not at all like a girl’s room.
Yun Ya took out the dicine, carefully cleaned, dicated, and bandaged Cuicui’s wound. She was quite skilled, with a serious expression. Cuicui couldn’t help but watch, srized.
"Miss, you’re so beautiful, and your hands are so skillful," Cuicui praised sincerely.
Yun Ya smiled and tied a pretty bow, then glanced up at her: "I’ve always said, getting close to doesn’t end well, hasn’t it co true now?"
"I’m not afraid," the little girl said proudly, her chest puffed out and her eyes bright, a look of youthful fearlessness on her face.
Yun Ya smiled with pursed lips: "What am I to do with you?"
Cuicui imdiately grabbed Yun Ya’s arm, looking a bit wronged: "Miss, don’t ignore in the future, okay?"
Yun Ya smiled and nodded: "Alright."
I will definitely not let anything happen to you.
Her fingers inadvertently brushed over Cuicui’s wrist. Yun Ya’s gaze deepened as it swept imperceptibly across Cuicui’s neck.
"Cuicui, what’s your family like? How did you end up working as a servant for the Yun Family?"
Cuicui sighed, her little face filled with sorrow: "My family is from the countryside. My father passed away when I was very young. It was my mother who raised and my younger siblings. I’m the oldest. I dropped out after junior high to work and support my siblings’ education. They’re all smarter than and will surely do well in the future."
"The kitchen’s Aunt Li is a distant relative of mine. Knowing my family’s situation, she introduced here, where the pay is good and the work relatively light, a good job hard to find even with a lantern."
Yun Ya’s gaze swept across her face, seemingly casual as she asked, "Aren’t you afraid of getting too close to , angering the Madam, and being driven away?"
Cuicui imdiately widened her eyes in surprise, "Why would the Madam want to drive away? Also, why would getting along with you anger the Madam? Isn’t she your grandmother?"
Yun Ya smiled: "You really are naive."
Cuicui grinned sheepishly: "I’m just too dumb. Aunt Li has scolded several tis already. Please don’t make fun of , miss."
Lying in bed at night, Yun Ya tossed and turned, reflecting on every detail of the incident that had happened.
After figuring things out, a cold sneer curved on her lips in the dark, sinister and eerie.
——
The next morning, Cuicui was hiding in a corner of the kitchen crying, spotted quite clearly by Yun Ya who had returned from her morning exercise and ca to the kitchen for water.
"What’s wrong?" Yun Ya asked with concern.
Cuicui hurriedly bowed her head, "It’s... it’s nothing." She then lowered her head, ready to leave.
Yun Ya’s gaze fell on that nearly swollen cheek with a large, red handprint that was shockingly vivid, indicating the trendous force that had been applied.
Yun Ya narrowed her eyes slightly, grabbed Cuicui’s arm, and forced her to look up, her tone sowhat cold, "Who hit you?"
Cuicui sniffled, "It wasn’t soone else who hit , I fell myself. Miss, don’t worry, I’m fine."
Yun Ya scoffed: "Can a fall produce such a large handprint? Why don’t you try falling for again to see?"
Cuicui looked on the verge of tears: "Miss, please don’t ask anymore, I beg you."
Yun Ya sighed, touched Cuicui’s face sowhat tenderly, and Cuicui gasped in pain.
"Does it hurt?"
Cuicui hung her head and didn’t speak.
Yun Ya suddenly let go: "Cuicui, you better stay away from from now on."
Cuicui imdiately looked up in panic, "No, Miss, I’m really fine, truly fine."
Yun Ya didn’t say anything, shook her head, and turned to leave the kitchen.
