Yun Ya felt sowhat embarrassed. When had she ever beco a handso uncle, and why was she not aware of it?
Gao Kee said mockingly, "Talking nonsense, how could Dr. Nyx be a man?"
"Why would I lie to you? If you don’t believe , just ask in the nurses’ group chat, everyone knows about it. Ah, Doctor Gao, I know you’re not feeling comfortable. The elevator beca very lively all of a sudden.
"Ding." Reached the 10th floor, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Yun Ya stepped to the side, allowing people to file out of the elevator. She hung her head low, standing in the corner. The plump girl was quite heavy and accidentally brushed against Yun Ya as she exited. Yun Ya, not being prepared, stumbled backward.
Yun Ya quickly grabbed the handrail with one hand, and just then an arm ca around her waist from behind, helping her to stand up.
"Are you okay?" A crisp male voice sounded in her ear.
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it wasn’t on purpose." The plump girl apologized, looking ashad. Upon getting a clear look at Yun Ya, she couldn’t help but widen her eyes in amazent.
Yun Ya, without changing her expression, took a step back and said quietly with her head still lowered, "It’s fine."
Gao Kee looked at the girl in front of him, his fingertips still tingling with the softness from a mont ago.
He couldn’t help but ask, "Are you a nurse?"
Yun Ya couldn’t help but roll her eyes inwardly, "Hmm."
Gao Kee wanted to ask her which departnt she was from, but as the elevator doors were about to close, the plump girl pulled at him, "We’re going to be late, stop hitting on her. There will be plenty of opportunities later."
Gao Kee was hurriedly pulled out. He glanced back one more ti to see the slowly closing elevator doors revealing the girl’s stunningly beautiful face veiled in mist.
A fleeting glance was enough to leave a deep impression.
He didn’t leave, but watched the elevator ascend to the top floor and then pause for a few seconds before descending.
"Was it the 18th floor?"
The 18th floor housed the director’s and so specialists’ offices. Why would she be going up to the 18th floor?
Yun Ya pushed open the office door. Wei Qing was sorting out docunts. Seeing Yun Ya entering, she smiled and said, "You’re quite early today."
"I’m a handso uncle, how co I didn’t know?" asked Yun Ya curiously.
Wei Qing was taken aback for a mont, then smiled, "So you already knew."
"I heard a few young nurses discussing it in the elevator."
Wei Qing poured a cup of tea and placed it on Yun Ya’s desk before smiling and saying, "It’s because you’re too low-key. Everyone wants to know what Dr. Nyx really looks like, whether you are a man or a woman. The more mysterious you are, the more curious the outside world becos, the more they want to dig up rumors about you. The hospital only has so much space. Sooner or later, you’ll be exposed, hence Vice President Pei released a smokescreen."
So that was it.
Wei Qing took a long look at Yun Ya and said, "Do you know how many dostic dia outlets want to interview you? They’ve totally crowded the hospital entrance, and yet you still insist on such a low profile, even requiring confidentiality agreents. Oh, what can I say about it."
"I gained fa abroad, and the dostic environnt is different from abroad. Do you think being exposed to the cara would do any good? With only a reputation but no achievents, it’s like a mirage or a fleeting shadow, easily burst when poked. Do you understand what would await then?"
Wei Qing seed to get it a bit now. She couldn’t help but look deeply at the young woman before her. She was a dical prodigy, with hands that could perform miracles, but she also managed to remain undisturbed by fa or insult, seeing things very clearly—what an exquisite heart she must have.
