Kang Jinse returned on the second night, covered in dust, with a weary face.
Kang Jinxian was sitting in the living room watching TV with Yun Shu when she saw Kang Jinse co back and instinctively stood up.
"Sister, you’re back."
Kang Jinse nodded her head and instructed Su Ye, who followed behind carrying the luggage, "Take my things upstairs."
Su Ye carried the luggage up the stairs.
Kang Jinse walked over and sat on the sofa, casually tidying her sensuous wavy curls, "How have you all been these past few days?"
Kang Jinxian smiled, "Mom and I are both quite well."
Kang Jinse carefully examined Kang Jinxian upon hearing this, "Your complexion is much better than before, indeed, it’s good to let go."
Kang Jinxian touched her face with her hand, her eyes flickering.
"Has Brother Shen not co back yet?" Kang Jinse asked.
She had not been at peace a single day when she was away, fearing that in her absence, so other woman would snatch Yun Shen away from her, so she rushed back on the earliest flight she could after wrapping up work.
Kang Jinxian’s heart skipped a beat, but she kept her expression unchanged, "Brother probably has a social engagent tonight, I haven’t seen much of him in the past couple of days."
Kang Jinse’s expression imdiately darkened.
Yun Shu coldly interjected from the side, "Shenshen is busy with a myriad of things, not like you girls, having the leisure to chat here."
With a smile, Kang Jinse responded, "Aunt Yun is right, I’m just concerned about Brother Shen, afraid that he’s working himself too hard."
As she spoke, she pulled out a box from her bag, "I know you like jade, Aunt Yun, so I specially bought this jade necklace in Hong Kong, do you like it?"
Upon opening the box, a delicate jade necklace lay inside. Each bead was plump and round, the color a luscious green that seed to drip, shining translucent and sparkling under the light, extrely beautiful.
Even the fastidious Yun Shu was satisfied this ti.
Kang Jinxian bit her lip, moved closer, and exclaid, "Such a beautiful necklace, it’s truly fitting for Mother."
Kang Jinse smiled, glancing at Kang Jinxian, that girl sure had a way with words.
Yun Shu closed the lid of the box and looked up at Kang Jinse, her gaze landing on her stomach, "I’ve cleared my schedule recently and made an appointnt with a renowned traditional doctor, join when you have ti to get checked."
Kang Jinse’s face paled, wanting to say sothing, but at the sight of Yun Shu’s expression, she gulped it down.
Kang Jinxian looked neither to the left nor the right.
Being unable to bear children for Brother, she had no right to stay by his side.
Kang Jinxian cast her eyes down to her own abdon and silently bit her lip.

Upstairs.
Su Ye put away Kang Jinse’s things in her room, arranging everything neatly in its place.
Frankly speaking, she was Kang Jinse’s assistant, but it was more like being a nanny; she even washed Kang Jinse’s underwear.
Without the life of a princess but plagued with a princess’s airs, Su Ye mocked in her heart.
As she turned around, she saw a girl standing at the doorway of the room, with her arms crossed and a lethargic look.
Su Ye smiled, "Miss Yun Ya."
"It must be hard taking care of Aunt Jiang."
"I’m getting paid to do my job, there’s nothing hard or easy about it." The response was proper, but her eyes covertly swept over the young girl. Accidentally, her gaze t the other’s eyes, causing Su Ye’s heart to skip a beat before she steadied her nerves.
"That’s true, after all, it’s your profession, but what if one day, your employer runs into trouble and you lose your source of inco, what will you do?" Yun Ya smiled with a curved lip.
Su Ye lowered her eyes without showing any reaction.
"Of course, I’d look for another employer. No one should hang themselves on one tree, unless they’re a fool."
Yun Ya suddenly laughed, "You’re clever. Rember what you just said."
With that, she turned and left.
Su Ye watched the girl’s retreating figure, slightly narrowing her eyes.
When Su Ye went downstairs, she noticed the slightly stiff atmosphere among the three.
"Miss Kang, everything has been taken care of."
Annoyed, Kang Jinse waved her hand dismissively, "You can go now, I’ll contact you if there’s anything."
Su Ye nodded and turned to walk towards the front of the living room.
Just then, Yun Shen walked in from outside. Su Ye bowed her head and respectfully called out, "President Yun," but Yun Shen did not spare her a glance and strode past her into the house.
Su Ye heard Kang Jinse’s surprised voice and the eager "tap tap" of her high heels on the floor. She smiled, her lips curling, and quickly left the Ji Family Manor.
"Brother Shen, you’re back." Kang Jinse took Yun Shen’s briefcase with a tender and sweet tone.
Yun Shen gave a faint "Hmm," looked up at Yun Shu, and said, "Mom."
His eyes swept over the slender figure sitting beside Yun Shu, his pupils contracted slightly, and he regained his composure without a word.
Kang Jinxian lowered her head slightly, her heart racing with excitent.
