The car slowly stopped in front of a European-style villa. If Yun Ya were to wake up, she would find that the villa was almost identical in layout and decoration to the villa she had lived in at Irvine, USA.
Carrying her into the living room, a woman in her thirties ca out, "Young Master...." Her gaze fell on the girl in his arms, a hint of surprise flickering in her eyes.

Qin Du’s face was stern as he strode past her towards the stairs; the woman stood frozen for a mont before quickly following him.
Qin Du settled Yun Ya into the room, tucking her in carefully, and sat by the bed for a while before he got up and walked out.
Outside the door, the woman asked, "Young Master, what’s wrong with this miss?"
Qin Du headed towards his own room, "She is the young miss of the family. All you need to rember is that."
With that, he closed his room door with a "bang."
In this ho, there were only the master and the young master; the master hardly ever stayed at ho, leaving the young master the only one in the house, which made it always seem very quiet. But now that a young miss had appeared, it seed like the house wouldn’t be that quiet in the following days.

Unaware of the ti slipping away, it was ten o’clock when Qin Du tilted back his head to gulp down the last drop, set the glass aside, and turned towards Yun Ya’s room.
Pushing open the door, on the big bed, the girl was curled up, her body bent like a shrimp, completely sunken into the blanket, revealing only her thick black hair spread out like seaweed across the pillow.
She had buried her face in her chest, her face completely out of view.
Qin Du sat down by the bed, his fingers gently caressing her cloud-like hair, his eyes soft and doting.
"Yaya, in the blink of an eye, you’ve grown so big. I still rember the first ti I saw you, I thought to myself, where did this little fairy co from, how could she be so beautiful, just like she stepped out of a painting."
"Do you believe in love at first sight? The first ti I saw you, I was attracted by your bright, intelligent eyes. I wouldn’t be embarrassed to tell you, back then I was only nine years old...."
He rambled on, his deep, gentle voice filling the room for a while.
"When I learned of your background, I felt so sorry for you. I thought, I want to be your big brother, to care for you, to look after you. Those ten years we spent abroad were the happiest and most joyous days of my life, never to be had before, and never to be had again...."
Pausingly, his gaze fell on her back, his eyes sharp as needles, suddenly tightening.
"You’ve always seen as a brother, and I know it. I’ve always consoled myself, telling myself there’s plenty of ti... but I was just deceiving myself. A brother will always be just a brother, and can never beco a lover."
With that, he lowered his eyes and smiled bitterly.
He spoke nonstop, saying so much that he beca thirsty, and as the night unknowingly turned to early morning, he watched as Yun Ya remained still the entire ti. He sighed, tucked her in again, dimd the bedside lamp, and left the room.
In the latter part of the night, Yun Ya was awakened by pain.
"Ugh...." She groaned, suddenly opening her eyes.
Her body was tightly curled up, her fingers digging into the blanket to alleviate the pain inside her.
That kind of pain was like her insides were knotted up, as if soone was snipping them into pieces with scissors, cold sweat dripping down her forehead. She bit down on the blanket corner to suppress her moans.
Tears rolled down her cheeks. Whether she was more sad or happy, perhaps no one in this world would ever know.
"Brother Yan~." She couldn’t help but murmur between her lips, closing her eyes and sinking into a powerless slumber.
In her daze, she dread of her future with Brother Yan, her lips unwittingly curling into a blissful smile, the pain seemingly becoming much lighter.
As the first rays of the morning sun broke through, she opened her eyes in a daze, her body soaked in sweat, as if she had just been fished out of water.
