In the evening, she received a call from Yan Song.
Yan Song must have just gotten out of school, the area was a ss, and from ti to ti, the noise of students horsing around could be heard.
"What are you doing?" Yan Song’s deep and husky voice ca through.
At that ti, Yun Ya was nestled on the living room sofa watching TV while Qin Du, wearing an apron, was busy in the kitchen, cooking a welco-ho al for Yun Ya.
"Watching TV."
"Quite leisurely," he comnted.
"Brother Yan, did you need sothing from ?"
"Can’t I call you if there’s nothing wrong?"
Yun Ya laughed while lying askew on the sofa, "Of course not, actually I was just thinking about you."
Speaking sweet nothings ca naturally to Yun Ya.
Hearing the obvious deepening of breath on the other end of the line, she humd lightly, "Since I miss you so much, I’ll make the effort to see you."
Yun Ya said with a laugh, "Tomorrow, okay?"
Yan Song frowned, "I have two movie tickets for tonight, and they’ll go to waste if we don’t use them."
Yun Ya wondered where Brother Yan had gotten movie tickets from and even knew to invite a girlfriend to the movies; deep down, he had a romantic streak.
"Where did you get the movie tickets?"
In fact, Yan Song had asked Su Jun, who had listed several hundred must-do items for dating, with "going to the movies" topping the list, preferring horror movies first and romance second...
After hesitating for a few days, Yan Song eventually asked Su Jun, who under relentless questioning, admitted he was dating. In the face of Su Jun’s astonishnt and admiration, he kicked out a leg, breezing past.
"I have normal needs too, take that disgusting look off your face."
Su Jun incredulously exclaid, "My God, there’s actually a woman who can handle you, unbelievable. I’m really curious about this heroine, when will you bring her out to show , hey hey hey... Is it that childhood sweetheart of yours?"
Yan Song awkwardly admitted it, and Su Jun, continuing to ’tsk’ endlessly, ended up buying him two movie tickets, even specifically choosing couple seats, an absolute dating must-have.
"A friend gave them to , they’ll be wasted if we don’t go tonight, I’ll just throw them away if you don’t co."
"That would be such a waste."
Yun Ya asked, "What movie is it?"
Yan Song, afraid that Yun Ya would run away if she heard the na, told a little white lie, "Action romance." At that mont his mind blanked, and that phrase slipped out. As soon as he said it, he regretted it, wishing he could bite off his own tongue.
Yun Ya paused, then burst into laughter, with Yan Song’s gritted teeth audible through the phone, "Don’t laugh."
Yun Ya, clutching her stomach, flopped onto the sofa, laughing until tears ca out, "Brother Yan, you’re too funny. Alright, alright, I’ll go, even if it’s a risqué film, I’ll still watch it with Brother Yan."
Yan Song’s face turned as red as a ripe apple.
"Where are you? I’ll co pick you up." Yun Ya, realizing the distance from her place to Yan Song’s school was quite far and that it would take Brother Yan a lot of ti to go back and forth, suggested, "Tell the address of the cinema, we can et up there."
Yan Song wanted to pick her up and go together, but upon hearing her suggestion, agreed to send her the address later and then hung up.
Walking out of the campus, under the smitten gazes of many girls, Yan Song prepared to hail a taxi and head straight for the cinema.
Following with his backpack slung over one shoulder, Su Jun laughed, "Eldest Young Master Yan, you have to seize the opportunity, it’s a great chance to make a move. Need this brother to give you another hand?" he said with a smirk, winking at Yan Song.
Yan Song turned to look at him.
Then Su Jun moved closer, quickly stuffed sothing into his pocket, and glanced around nervously as if afraid soone saw them.
Yan Song looked at him with suspicion.
With a sly smile, Su Jun said, "Hope you ’hit the target’."
It was only after Yan Song got into the car and checked his pocket that his face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.
----
Although Qin Du was cooking in the kitchen, he had been all ears since Yun Ya took the call.
He swore he wasn’t eavesdropping deliberately.
After hanging up, Yun Ya poked her head in, "Brother Ah Du, I won’t be having dinner at ho tonight, so sorry to waste your cooking."
Qin Du put down the knife, turned to her, and asked gently, "What happened?"
"A friend asked out to a movie, so..."
Qin Du’s eyes flickered before he chuckled, "Is your friend a guy or a girl?"
Yun Ya felt like she was being interrogated by a parent, thinking at her age, it should probably count as puppy love.
"A guy."
Qin Du’s smile stiffened for a mont, then he laughed it off as he took off his apron and walked out, "I’ll take you there."
Yun Ya hurriedly said, "No need, I’ll ask Brother Du to take ."
Qin Du gave her a look, "I’ll take you, I’m not doing anything tonight anyway." He was blatantly lying; the company was piling up with lots of issues waiting for his decisions.
His gentle insistence was indeed a bit overwhelming for Yun Ya.
She didn’t want to upset Brother Ah Du, so she nodded her head, thinking she would just make sure Brother Yan didn’t see him later on.
Rembering the last ti Brother Yan got jealous of Brother Ah Du, which resulted in her first kiss being taken, she couldn’t imagine what chaos might ensue if Brother Yan saw him this ti.
So, she was determined not to let Brother Yan see Brother Ah Du.
But the fact of the matter couldn’t keep up with the changes, and she could never quite asure a man’s heart.
