"You... don’t be like this...." The rest of her words were drowned out in his kiss. He was very gentle, delivering an incredibly long and lingering kiss. At first, Yun Ya resisted, but gradually, she was drawn in. The two of them were lost in the mont, all the unhappiness and argunts seed to vanish into thin air.

Just as Yan Song made a move to go further, Yun Ya suddenly pushed him away. "Stop, Aunt Die and Miaomiao are outside..." The thought of the two of them waiting beyond the door while she and he were involved in such acts made her feel embarrassed.

Yan Song lay on top of her, his fingers lightly tracing her bare back. He chuckled and said, "Miaomiao can’t hear us, Aunt Die is in the kitchen, and I locked the door when I ca in..."

"That’s still no good," Yun Ya grabbed his arm. "I’m still mad, so don’t you think about taking it any further, get off ."

Seeing she ant business, Yan Song rolled over and lay beside her. "Fine, I give up."

Yun Ya sat up and straightened her long hair, her appearance quite enchanting and seductive, which caused Yan Song’s gaze to grow sowhat fixed.

After thinking for a mont, he spoke, "My flight to Capital City is tomorrow afternoon. Aren’t you taking Miaomiao to Ha City? If there’s no rush, co with to Capital City tomorrow first. Once I’ve finished what I need to do, I’ll accompany you both there. It’s your first ti, and I wouldn’t feel at ease considering you’re unfamiliar with the place."

Tomorrow afternoon? Isn’t that too soon? Yun Ya thought about the pile of matters awaiting her. If she were to leave by tomorrow afternoon, she would be gone for at least ten days. She didn’t like the idea of being separated from Brother Yan, but her sudden illness, which had caused a day’s delay, was also unexpected.

It seems she’ll have to deal with the remaining tasks promptly.

Yun Ya realized that having slept for the entire day, she had no clue what had transpired outside.

"Alright, we’ll go with you tomorrow afternoon."

As for the plane tickets, Yan Song had already taken care of that. Yun Ya couldn’t help but admire that in so ways, Yan Song was indeed a very responsible boyfriend.

At that mont, Ji Die called out from the other side of the door, "Dinner’s ready."

"Brother Yan, you go ahead. I need to make a phone call." Yun Ya picked up the cell phone from the bedside, realizing it was off due to a dead battery. After plugging it in for charge, she found many missed calls from Yun Shen, Uncle Chang, Qin Zhuan, and Su Ye.

A bad premonition settled in her heart. In the day and night of her unconsciousness, too many things could have happened.

She called Uncle Chang first. Uncle Chang told her that sisters Kang Jinxian and Kang Jinse had gone missing, and the investigation revealed it was a kidnapping. The identity of the kidnapper was mysterious, and even with Uncle Chang’s connections, he had no idea who it could be. One thing was certain though—the kidnapping was organized and preditated, and it seed they had been lurking in the shadows, waiting for just that day. Rembering it sent chills down her spine.

Thinking more carefully, she realized the significance. Yun Ya had asked Uncle Chang to secretly monitor the sisters, and since their exposure, the two had beco more elusive. The fact that they could be kidnapped without alerting anyone proved at least two things: first, that the planning was long in the making; second, that the kidnappers were very powerful.

What puzzled her was the reason for the kidnapping. As far as she knew, the sisters had no enemies who would go to such lengths to put them in mortal danger, although she herself might count as one. But she had no involvent in this kidnapping.

Who exactly could it be? Judging by the kidnapper’s thods—clean, no traces left—it was a mystery. And Yun Ya couldn’t help but rember Miaomiao’s disappearance at the Hong Kong airport. There were two groups involved back then: one that brought Miaomiao back from Germany, which belonged to Pei Qinghan; and a second one, not Pei Qinghan’s, who took Miaomiao from the airport lounge. Later, she confird with Pei Qinghan that the latter wasn’t his doing. Instead, it was the work of Brother Qing, whose influence is substantial in the north. Why would Brother Qing get involved, and was there soone behind Miaomiao’s kidnapping?

Could the sa person be behind the kidnapping of sisters Kang Jinxian?

Actually, upon closer examination, these three individuals had one thing in common—they were all directly related to her. Could it be that the perpetrator was targeting her all along?

Kidnapping Miaomiao made sense, as she was the biggest threat to Yun Ya, but Kang sisters were her enemies, posing no threat to her whatsoever. From this perspective, it seems the perpetrator wasn’t after her.

Could it be Yun Shen’s doing? That was also impossible. With the company affairs already making him overwheld, where would he find the ti for these matters?

What could she be overlooking?
