Yun Ya sat down on the sofa with Ah Jiu in her arms, gently stroking his soft fur, "Yan Ke."
"Hmm?"
"I have sothing to discuss with you."
Yan Ke raised an eyebrow, sensing from her tone that there might be so ominous premonition.
"I just agreed to a marriage arrangent with Aunt Zhuang, binding myself to your family," Yun Ya said indifferently.
Yan Ke’s eyes lit up, "So I should start calling you sister-in-law," he said, picking up his teacup and taking a sip.
Yun Ya raised her eyes, looking at him steadily, "You’re mistaken, it’s you."
Yan Ke spit out a mouthful of water with a "pfft," his eyes widening in disbelief, "Sister Yun Ya, did I hear that correctly?"
Yun Ya sighed, "You heard correctly."
Yan Ke smacked his lips, "That’s it, my brother is going to kill when he cos back...."
Suddenly frowning, Yan Ke looked at Yun Ya, "Sister Yun Ya, you haven’t fallen for soone else, have you?" He touched his own face, "Or is it that I’m just too outstanding and you chose over Brother Yan?"
Yun Ya glared at him, "I thought it was Brother Yan, and without hesitation, I agreed. But after everything was settled, Aunt Zhuang said it was you. It was all a misunderstanding, she got it wrong, and I got it wrong, due to a mix-up, our marriage was decided."
So that was the situation.
"What should we do now? My brother will beat to death if he finds out...." Just the thought of Yan Song’s stern face made Yan Ke tremble.
Yun Ya pursed her lips, "I was just about to tell Aunt Zhuang the truth, but she was so happy, I didn’t want to ruin her mood. I’ve been thinking, and it’s probably better for you to bring it up...."
Although it’s sowhat dishonorable, for the sake of my and your brother’s happiness, you’ll just have to sacrifice a bit.
That was the subtext of Yun Ya’s words, and Yan Ke caught on.

"I ca to you to think of a solution, not to argue. If you weren’t this extra son, none of this would’ve happened." Yun Ya was nearly at her wit’s end.
"I’ll tell Brother Yan, he’s sure to have a solution," Yun Ya said as she pulled out her phone to make a call.
Yan Ke hastened to stop her, "No, given my brother’s temper, he would definitely make a huge scene. In the end, neither you nor my brother would co out well. Forget it, we still have two years, right? Let’s keep this matter from my brother for now, and I’ll figure out a solution."
If Yan Song found out, it would be a disaster.
Yun Ya felt a little afraid. If she told him, he would surely be angry. Brother Yan getting angry wasn’t the problem; what she feared was a misunderstanding on Aunt Zhuang’s part.
Having dealings with both her sons, Aunt Zhuang might take it out on her. That was sothing she would absolutely not allow, and it was also the reason why she had hesitated to speak earlier.

Seeing that Yan Ke voluntarily took on the responsibility, Yun Ya breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Thank you."
"But let say the ugly part first: if my mom insists and goes her own way, then I’m out of options. We’ll get engaged if we have to. Actually, Sister Yun Ya, I quite like you. Taking you as my wife isn’t such a bad idea," Yan Ke’s eyes twinkled.
Yun Ya smiled gently, even Ah Jiu nestled in her arms couldn’t help but shiver, "Would you dare to repeat that in front of your brother?"
Yan Ke’s face stiffened, and he pouted disinterestedly, "Can’t one even dream? It hurts a bit to think about the duck that was within reach flying away. But in the end, I can always compete fairly with my brother."
He leaned in close to Yun Ya all of a sudden, his smile beaming, "Sister Yun Ya, don’t you have even the slightest bit of affection for ?"
