Sitting in the car to the hotel, Yun Ya received a call from Qin Du.

Ning Qinglin, in a finely tailored black suit, his features handso and his deanor refined and elegant, smiled and stretched out his hand towards Bai Ran. She returned the smile and slowly placed her hand, covered in a white lace glove, into his. With a gentle pull, she stood before him.
The emcee’s steady voice floated through the microphone to every corner of the venue, leading the couple through their final vows.
"Now, please exchange rings," said the emcee.
A pair of children walked over and handed the ring box to the couple.
As they were about to slide the wedding rings onto each other’s fingers– a symbol of clinging hearts– the music abruptly stopped, replaced by the cry of a child, "Mommy... save , wuwu...."
Bai Ran’s hand trembled, and the ring box "clacked" as it fell to the ground. She quickly looked around: "Xi’er..."
Ning Qinglin’s expression darkened; it was Bai Xi’s voice. A feeling of dread filled him as he gently comforted Bai Ran and shot Ning Zihuan a look from the stage.
The sudden cry of a child disrupted the wedding, and the guests looked at each other, bewildered, wondering what had happened.
Only then did Bai Ran feel that sothing was amiss. It had been her plan to walk down the aisle holding Bai Xi’s hand, a decision made after discussion with Ning Qinglin.
