After becoming Ji Yunya’s assistant, his personality toned down a bit. However, he still got into quite a bit of mischief. Upon discovering Dr. Nyx’s true identity, he pursued her relentlessly. Ji Yunya naturally dismissed him, but Jack was determined. Believing in the saying "a close relationship with superiors helps get things done," he applied for the assistant position under Dr. Nyx and ultimately succeeded. When Ji Yunya found out Jack was appointed, she went out of her way to make things difficult for him. Being the most outstanding graduate of the dical school, Jack navigated her challenges flawlessly. Eventually, Ji Yunya started to value his talent, and they developed a mutual understanding, leading Jack to stay by her side.
As an assistant, Jack was impeccable. As a friend, he was equally competent, often adding much-needed humor to her otherwise monotonous life.
After getting to know Ji Yunya better, Jack realized she was not soone he could control and backed off. However, every girlfriend he subsequently had was from Country Hua, closely resembling Ji Yunya in looks and deanor, just as cheaper versions.
This showed that his aesthetic standards were based on Ji Yunya.
To get closer to his goddess, Jack pestered Ji Yunya to teach him Chinese. Unable to refuse him, she taught him bits and pieces in her spare ti. To everyone’s surprise, Jack turned out to be a linguistic genius in addition to his musical talent. "But it will be hard for you to co back. He’s won everyone over in the hospital and even bad-mouthed you, calling you an old hag who’ll never get married, fit only to be his assistant. "Let him say what he wants. The truth stands its ground," Ji Yunya replied indifferently.
Freck was indeed an excellent surgeon with more seniority than her. Since her arrival, she had overshadowed him, causing his petty nature to show. Yet apart from his sharp tongue, he had no significant flaws.
"The truth stands its ground? That’s really profound." Jack gave a thumbs-up, "Another one for my notes."
"No ti for that. Let’s go; we’ve got important business." Ji Yunya stood up.
"You didn’t clarify over the phone. What exactly are we doing? Also, you haven’t agreed to take back to Country Hua yet..." Seeing Ji Yunya walk out, Jack hurriedly trotted to catch up.
At St. Mary Hospital, rumors spread that Dr. Nyx had returned.
To all the dical staff at St. Mary Hospital, Dr. Nyx was both mysterious and revered.
After finishing a surgery, Freck’s assistant approached him and whispered in his ear, causing his brows to furrow deeply.
