Seeing that no one believed her, Lin Qianqian’s cheeks flushed with anger as Pan Yu dragged her away.
"Behave yourself, if you continue jumping around like this, I won’t care about you anymore." Pan Yu warned sternly.
Lin Qianqian glared fiercely at Lin Sili, "She’s lying."
"Keep your cool. Even if she’s lying, so what? She’s managed to make everyone believe her—that’s a skill."
"The skill of deceiving the masses, more like."
Lin Sili looked at the sneaky figures of the mother and daughter, curled her lips in sarcasm, and accidentally t Ji Yunya’s gaze, hesitated, then softly smiled.
Next ca the grabbing ceremony. Little An’an joyfully sat on the stage, hopping through the pile of items in front of her but not picking anything up, making everyone anxious.
Ning Zihuan suddenly tossed a dagger over, startling everyone, including Lin Sili. What if the child got hurt? Before she could take it away, Little An’an crawled over, firmly grasped the dagger in her little hand, and showed a happy smile, her eyes disappearing in her grin.
Ning Zihuan raised an eyebrow: "This girl seems destined to be a heroic woman in the future."
Lin Sili frowned, snatched the dagger from the child’s hand, but the child suddenly started crying, trying to grab it back. Lin Sili handed her a rattle, yet the child suddenly threw it away.
Watching this scene, everyone had their thoughts. The grabbing ceremony is inherently amusing; so believe it, so don’t, but most do. Lin Sili’s daughter seems like a formidable figure in the future.
Yun Ya smiled and turned to Ning Zihuan: "You spoiled soone’s daughter; you must be responsible, okay?"
Ning Zihuan curled his lip: "Dream on."
Lin Sili helplessly soothed with a soft voice, but the child wouldn’t stop crying until Lin Sili gave her the dagger’s sheath, which finally brought a smile.
Lin Sili handed the child to the servants: "Take her away and make sure she’s well-cared for."
The banquet officially began; Lin Sili prepared many delicacies and snacks, along with rare good wine, ticulously organized. Lin Sili walked to Yun Ya’s side, chatted briefly, then looked at the young man beside Yun Ya, helplessly saying: "Young Master Ning, of all things to give, you chose a dagger. Ning Zihuan rolled his eyes, "So pretentious."
"If anything happens to An’an, he must take responsibility," Yun Ya said with a smile.

Seeing Lin Sili and Ji Yunya chatting happily with Ning Zihuan, Lin Qianqian bit her lip: "You won’t be smug for long."
Yun Ya noticed Lin Qianqian’s expression through the corner of her eye, smiled, and said: "Your sister is restless again."
Lin Sili scoffed: "A fool who thinks she’s smart."
"As long as you’re aware."
"Sili." Lin Peng gestured her over.
Lin Sili gave Yun Ya a reassuring look and turned toward Lin Peng.
Beside him was Pan Yu, and in front was a fifty-sothing couple, along with a rather handso young man.
"Sili, this is your Uncle Liu and Aunt Zhang. Don’t you rember them?"
How could she forget? This was the family of the betrothed her mother arranged before she passed away. That Aunt Zhang and her mother had been close friends since childhood; finger betrothed, setting up the marriage. Unfortunately, after she was forced out because of an incident, the Liu Family logically annulled the engagent to pursue Lin Qianqian. But by then, the Liu Family was already declining; Pan Yu naturally wasn’t interested. Seeing her regain control of Lin’s now, the Liu Family eagerly approached, wanting to revive the engagent. How shaless!
"Sili, good child, Auntie knows you’ve had a hard ti over the years. A woman raising a child is very tough, you’ve suffered." Aunt Zhang held her hand affectionately, seemingly genuinely concerned.
"It’s alright, I’m not tired." She smiled softly, though inwardly sowhat impatient.
"Sili, back when we canceled the engagent, we had no choice. I hope you can forgive us, but a while ago, I dread of Alan; she blad for not taking care of you well. The remorse I felt... How could I have..."
She suddenly grabbed Lin Sili’s hand, expectantly asking: "Sili, could you give Auntie another chance, give our Shenger another chance? Don’t worry, Auntie will treat you like her own daughter, treat An’an as her own granddaughter, and never let you suffer the slightest grievance again."
