While Osvaldo was busy teasing Penny for farting, she seriously wished she could just dig a hole and hide inside forever. A pair of sleek, polished black shoes stepped into the penthouse for the first ti in eleven years.
Right beside them, a shiny black walking cane tapped gently against the concrete floor.
The wind tousled Darlington Adkins’ silver hair as he looked up at the tall building in front of him. It had changed a lot. It finally looked like a ho.
The last ti he was here, he had left bleeding, literally. His own grandson, in a fit of madness, had attacked him, and Darlington had lost his sight because of it. Since then, the doctors insisted he stay away from the boy. They said Osvaldo was too unstable, too dangerous.
Madness wasn’t sothing to play with, he could hurt or kill anyone, just as he did him.
Darlington regretted it every single day. Osvaldo was the only family he had left, he didn’t want to stay away from his grandson, but he’d had no choice. There was nothing he could do.
If only Dewitt had listened when he told him never to make Osvaldo’s discovery known to the public. Darlington had used all his power and influence to save his son back then, but none worked.
He had lost everything he thought he owned in a few hours. His son, daughter-in-law, and his grandson.
He’d heard whispers that Dewitt hired imposters to raise Osvaldo, strangers who were paid to keep him hidden. These people were heartless and there was nothing he could do to save his grandson from them because Dewitt had given the boy to them.
Each ti Darlington tried to speak to the boy, they blocked him. They claid Osvaldo had beco so violent he didn’t even rember his own na.
They would chase him out like a stranger. Treat him like a nobody each ti he visited.
Every ti he was here, Osvaldo was always in chains. He would always scream, ready to bite anything. Even when Osvaldo finally turned twenty-five and the anti-madness antidote was administered, nothing changed. Rather, he got madder.
Darlington Adkins had lost everything till a month ago when his secretary brought him surprising news. Osvaldo had a wife. A real wife. And he was getting better.
Darlington didn’t believe it at first. But now, standing here, he had to see it for himself.
Who was this woman who had changed his grandson? What kind of person could reach the heart of soone so broken?
Not even the best scientist could undo the madness. Osvaldo had hurt everyone, but not this girl according to what he heard. She’s the only one he had accepted.
Darlington has already loved her before he t her. That woman needs to be protected at all cost. She’s the one with the Adkins heirs.
Darlington took a deep breath and raised his hand to knock.
After a few gentle knocks, the massive door creaked open, and Hughes’ face appeared.
The mont her eyes landed on him, they widened in shock.
Darlington Adkins?
It couldn’t be.
What on earth was their big Master doing here?
"...Hughes," Darlington called softly.
The older woman instantly bowed low. "Master," she greeted, her voice full of emotion. She didn’t know whether to cry or celebrate. Was this real?
Maybe the Adkins legacy wasn’t lost after all.
"Where is my daughter-in-law?" Darlington asked.
"Please, co this way, Master. Young Master is in the gym room with our young mistress. I’ll get them right away," Hughes said, smiling warmly.
"Really? Is he really normal now?" Darlington raised a brow whispering the last part and Hughes laughed. He still had his personality.
"Not quite, Master. But he’s a little better than before." Hughes nodded, eyes bright. "Master’s been married for a month now. You’ll et her soon. Please, wait here." Hughes said.
"Alright. I have a few gift items in the car for my granddaughter-in-law. Please send them over." Hughes nodded as she turned to the maids around and they went to work.
A few other maids quickly gathered, politely guiding Darlington to the lounge. He was offered drinks and food as he waited, the scent of fresh bread and tea filling the air.
anwhile, Hughes was already hurrying down the hall, heading straight to the gym with quick, eager steps. Her heart was racing with excitent, she couldn’t wait to deliver the news.
She hoped their master Osvaldo would be pleased to see his grandfather. The two were really so close when Osvaldo was younger, she hoped the sa bond could continue now.
"One more Penguin, this is the last." Osvaldo placed a slice of apple between his teeth and positioned himself again, ready to receive her lips.
Penny bit on her lower lips as she watched him. The last few tis he had given her the fruit, he sucked her lips like he was sothing delicious. Penny didn’t think she could take it anymore.
"C... Can’t we do it without the fruit?" Penny asked.
"I’m your instructor Penguin. My way is the best. Besides, sucking on your lips would help you lose weight too." Penny felt like her brain would explode at his words.
That was not true. There was nothing like sucking the lips makes people lose weight.
"Now eat it Penguin." She pressed her lips together, gulping as she pushed herself up again. This ti, intending to grab it quickly before he sucks her lips.
But Osvaldo was smarter, before she could grab the fruit, he covered her mouth with his. And at that mont, the door flew open.
Hughes had been so excited that she forgot to knock.
Penny who had heard the door pushed Osvaldo off of her as she crawled away. Her face turned pink imdiately. She looked like soone caught doing sothing wrong.
Hughes on the other hand stood stunned by the door. She knew her master and madam were lost, but she never expected they would be this close.
But how did Osvaldo know all of these if he’s never been out before?
Shouldn’t we have the brain of a seven-year-old?
