Thus, anyone passing by would see a peculiar sight: four Alphas escorting one Oga to the base hospital.

The elevator wasn’t small, but once the four Alphas stepped inside, the entire space was filled, leaving only an empty spot in the center.

Zoe Pierce stood at the elevator doors, and looking up, she was t with four handso faces.

They all looked at her, seemingly wondering why she hadn’t yet entered.

The advantages of being Alphas were on full display in that mont. The four of them were tall with long legs, and though they carried themselves differently, each possessed his own unique aura.

So were of cool indifference, others of defiant pride.

However, when Zoe Pierce actually stood in the center, she felt an inexplicable sense of suffocation.

Every mont felt sowhat unbearable.

They rode all the way up to the dical suite reserved for Ogas. A Beta nurse stood at her station. A single glance up was all it took for her to notice the four Alphas, all exceptionally striking in both height and appearance.

She was montarily dazed, then she subconsciously glanced at the surrounding decor.

’Yep, no mistake. This is the Oga-exclusive floor.’

Only then did she spot Zoe Pierce, who was encircled by them as if she were the moon surrounded by stars. So there *was* an Oga.

She snapped out of it and, steeling herself, moved to stop them. "Excuse , but this is the Oga-exclusive floor. Alphas are requested to wait downstairs."

It was a regulation. At that mont, the guard robots stationed in the corners began to move forward.

These were specially designed counter-Alpha robots, capable of physically restraining an Alpha if necessary and injecting them with inhibitors or other substances.

Nathan Lockwood was clearly familiar with the hospital’s regulations. He spoke up, "No offense intended, but ours is a special case."

"This is our squad’s assigned Oga. She currently has no imdiate family nearby, so we are serving as her next of kin."

"Her gland has a problem. Her last treatnt required Alpha pheromones. Additionally, I’ve checked the hospital’s appointnt list for today, and it appears that aside from our group, there shouldn’t be any other Ogas here."

"Would it be possible to grant a special exception?"

With every point the Beta nurse heard, she felt Nathan Lockwood’s presence grow stronger, while her own diminished.

Moreover, the Alpha’s reasoning was perfectly clear, and he had preemptively addressed all of her concerns.

’I’ve run into a professional. Most people have no idea about these hospital regulations.’

She glanced at Zoe Pierce, but ultimately couldn’t withstand the pressure of their combined stares. She took a step back. "Alright, I’ll go ask the doctor. Please wait here."

Nathan Lockwood smiled.

A few minutes later, the Beta nurse erged and said to them, "You can co in."

Nathan Lockwood nodded his thanks. "We appreciate your help."

The Beta nurse stepped aside, watching from behind as the group entered.

’Even though that Alpha was right about everything, in all her years as a nurse, this was the first ti she’d ever seen so many Alphas escorting a single Oga to the hospital.’

’Shouldn’t it just be the Oga’s boyfriend who cos along? Why so many of them?’

’It can’t be...’

’...that they’re all her boyfriends, could it?’

The Beta nurse jolted, shocked by her own audacious thought. ’Heavens, what a thought! The Federation’s marriage laws forbid one Alpha from having multiple Ogas, just as they forbid one Oga from having multiple Alphas.’

’It was just a passing thought. But really, who could see a scene like this and not let their imagination run a little wild?’

’These Alphas were all unusually handso, and they were surrounding the beautiful Oga so protectively, so completely, that they resembled a unit of royal guards.’

Even Dr. Lancaster was taken aback by the appearance of the Alphas.

’She’d seen her fair share of Alphas, but she had to admit, faces like these were far superior to the average. They were almost dazzling to look at.’

But she quickly ca back to her senses, maintained her professional deanor, and looked at Zoe Pierce.

"Is your gland still feeling any sharp pain?"

Zoe Pierce shook her head. She sat on the plush chair, doing her utmost to ignore the intense stares from the n behind her.

"Last ti, I followed your advice and, um... had soone give a temporary mark. I’ve been fine since then."

Hearing Zoe Pierce confirm it with her own words still made Nathan Lockwood’s fists clench slightly.

Dr. Lancaster’s expression relaxed slightly. "Since you’ve already been temporarily marked, I’ll remove the barrier patch and take a look now."

’If Zoe Pierce hadn’t received a temporary mark, there was no way she would have let these Alphas remain in the room.’

’The scent of an Oga’s pheromones could drive an Alpha into a frenzy.’

’And there were four Alphas here. If even one of them lost control, neither she nor Zoe Pierce could handle it. Not to ntion the worst-case scenario: all four Alphas being triggered into their ruts. That would be a major dical incident.’

’A marked Oga no longer emits a scent that can entice other Alphas.’

’That was why she dared to proceed.’

Dr. Lancaster, just like last ti, had Zoe Pierce turn around and lower her head.

The peeled-off barrier patch soon revealed the Oga’s fair nape.

The gazes of Chase Shaw, Erin Xavier, Miles Sherman, and Nathan Lockwood all landed on it in unison. The Oga’s hair was swept to one side, revealing the gland located where her neck t her shoulders. It was slightly swollen, but not overtly so.

Her skin was as white as snow, the gland a faint blush of rouge dabbed upon it, leaving a delicate pink tint. She was no longer the fragile Oga who looked as if she might snap at any mont. Thanks to long-term training, supple muscle now clung tightly to a jade-like fra. Following the line of her collar downwards, one could see the deep, graceful curve of her spine, her physique perfectly balanced.

Dr. Lancaster first looked at the gland, then gently pressed it a few tis with the pad of her finger. "Does it hurt? I don’t feel any hardness anymore."

Zoe Pierce replied, "No."

’If she had to describe the feeling, it wasn’t pain. Rather, it was a subtle, indescribable sensation.’

’It was as if her gland had beco more sensitive. She rembered it not feeling like this before.’

Dr. Lancaster withdrew her hand, then took out a testing device and pricked Zoe Pierce’s gland. Catching the Alphas’ expressions from the corner of her eye, she decided to apply a fresh barrier patch over Zoe’s gland, just to be safe.

Fortunately, the wait wasn’t long; the results were ready in no ti.

"’Compared to last ti, your pheromone concentration hasn’t increased by much, but several of the other indicators I ntioned have started to rise.’ Dr. Lancaster’s finger tapped the reading for ’Stability’. ’It’s showing a small but steady improvent, as are the other values. Once they all reach the an, there’s a very good chance your gland will make a full recovery.’"

This was, without a doubt, a good thing for an Oga.

"However, we’ll have to wait until all your levels have returned to normal to know for sure. Theoretically, after being temporarily marked, you should be emitting a scent that’s a blend of your own pheromones and the Alpha’s. But we didn’t detect anything like that just now."

Her gland was still not quite right.

Zoe, however, didn’t see this as a major issue. As long as her levels were normal and her health wasn’t affected, she was fine with it.

Having said all that was necessary, Dr. Lancaster turned to the Alphas who had been standing silently behind Zoe Pierce. "Are there any other questions?"

’Nathan Lockwood had listened to the entire explanation and had seen the data. He knew Dr. Lancaster was competent; the situation was just as she had described.’

’On the whole, Zoe was recovering, and it looked like she was recovering well. They just needed to wait a little longer. Perhaps then, Zoe would make a full recovery and beco a normal Oga.’
