Before she could pay respects to ng Liangshen, she noticed his eyes fixed straight behind her. Of course, ng Liangshen was looking at Senior Fox.
She silently stepped back half a step, allowing the father and son so private ti to talk.
"Huilin, you look well." ng Liangshen’s voice was sowhat excited and cautious. He felt he owed too much to this son, even if his birth was destined to be a mistake. He was, nonetheless, his son.
Xu Huilin also stepped forward and bowed, "Huilin pays respects to father."
Seeing ng Liangshen’s appearance, he couldn’t help feeling a pang of discomfort.
ng Liangshen hurried to help him up, but his hand grabbed his newly attached right arm instead, showing a look of surprise, "Is this?"
Xu Huilin smiled, "Bai Ruozhu helped design the blueprint, and Uncle Bai and craftsn from the Bai Family helped make it. It’s quite convenient."
ng Liangshen wanted to lift Xu Huilin’s sleeve to inspect but hesitated. How could a dignified city lord be so cautious?

Despite his excitent, he didn’t forget his responsibilities.

Then she distributed one pill each to Jiu Sheng and the others, saying, "This is my regular Detoxification Pill. It can’t neutralize all toxins but can suppress the poison’s potency."
Sure enough, after taking the Detoxification Pill, Cheng Yu’s face was less red, and his temperature decreased significantly.
Bai Ruozhu also wrote a Formula, carefully explaining why those dicinal materials were used. Finally, she handed the Formula to Jiu Sheng, instructing him to brew and administer it to Cheng Yu.
After finishing everything, she stepped out of the room and found ng Liangshen had gone to attend to official duties, but Senior Fox was still waiting for her in the courtyard.
"Why didn’t you go back first?" she asked.
Xu Huilin chuckled, "There’s only one horse carriage. If I take it, what if you urgently need it? Who knew you’d take this long."
Bai Ruozhu felt a bit embarrassed; she wanted to teach others, thus temporarily forgetting Senior Fox.
"Alright, let’s go. I’ll treat you to the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall from Yingke Lai. It’s limited edition, and I’ve arranged for the shopkeeper to reserve one for in advance. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be available for you to even taste it." She felt she should compensate Senior Fox a bit.
"Okay, then I won’t be polite." He said and turned to walk away, his empty sleeve swirling and folding dramatically, an incredibly desolate sight.
Bai Ruozhu’s eyes darkened for a mont, but she quickly replaced it with a smile and hurried to catch up with him.
