Jiang Yichun rushed to the Guest Palace but couldn’t find Gao Zhou. After asking around, he realized Gao Zhou hadn’t been there, so Jiang Yichun had to order Jing Lei to take people and look for him.
By the afternoon, Gao Zhou was brought back to the Bai Residence by Jing Lei. Of course, Jing Lei couldn’t capture Gao Zhou, so he had to plead with him persistently to co along, and eventually, even the blockhead Jing Lei had to resort to inventing stories.
"Senior, the lady has been complaining of dizziness recently. She was so anxious just now and said that if we still didn’t find you, she would go out to look for you herself."
Gao Zhou was so angry that his beard blew and his eyes widened, "Nonsense, what can a heavily pregnant woman do? What is she looking for?"

Jing Lei sent a ssage to Jiang Yichun saying that Gao Zhou had been brought to the Bai Family.
Bai Ruozhu saw Gao Zhou and said quite exasperatedly, "You left so quickly. Achun has been giving quite the tantrum."
"The kid’s acting up? I’ll help you teach him a lesson!" Gao Zhou said with an apologetic smile.
"Senior, what’s really going on? Is there sothing you can’t tell us?" Bai Ruozhu winked at him, "You might want to consider Achun’s feelings, but we’re fellow townspeople, I’m more open-minded, can’t you tell ? So I don’t keep worrying. You see, I’m so big with this belly I can’t walk, yet I still worry about you, I’m so tired."
Gao Zhou blushed, "I didn’t go looking for won, don’t think nonsense, this is just an accident!"
"Could an accident leave marks on your neck? If you genuinely have soone you like, don’t hide it. I support you. After all, you’ve been single for over twenty years, you need a companion, too." Bai Ruozhu silently apologized to her mother-in-law whom she’d never t. She was also concerned about Gao Zhou; he had been alone for too long without anyone to care for him, and it seed quite pitiful.
"No! My heart only has Achun’s mother, so just stop." Gao Zhou said angrily, "I’ll stay at your place temporarily, but don’t press on this matter!"
At this mont, Jiang Yichun ca in, blocking him and asked, "Why do you keep wandering around? You’re so grown-up yet still make us younger ones worry?"
"Didn’t I co to stay at your place? How am I wandering?" Gao Zhou retorted, sticking his neck out.
Seeing the two about to argue, Bai Ruozhu quickly stepped in to diate and called Jianqi in to personally escort Gao Zhou to his arranged guest room.
Once they were gone, Bai Ruozhu held Jiang Yichun back and said, "Don’t go asking anymore. I asked him and he wouldn’t say, it would be even harder for him to tell you. But he claims it was an accident, and he only has your mom in his heart, not considering other won."
Jiang Yichun seed sowhat relieved, his expression softening a bit.
"Let him be, then, as long as he doesn’t disappear again." He said.
Bai Ruozhu, cooped up and restless, had nothing to do but conjecture about Gao Zhou’s situation. Could it be that so female hooligan had harassed him?
But given his inner strength, there wouldn’t be many who could get the better of him, right?
Fortunately, she had other matters to tend to, so she temporarily set the problem aside.
She went to Big Brother’s yard to find Bai Zehao, thinking it wasn’t good to discuss this with sister-in-law. Saying too much might make sister-in-law more dissatisfied with the matter, better to quietly remind big brother.
"Ruozhu, if you have sothing to say, just send soone to ssage , I’ll co to you. Why co here in your condition?" Bai Zehao said, a bit reproachfully.
Bai Ruozhu sighed, "I’m just a worrywart by nature. If you were more thoughtful, I wouldn’t have to be so concerned."
"Huh? Have I done sothing wrong in the business?" Bai Zehao nervously asked.
Bai Ruozhu glanced at sister-in-law playing with Little Chenxi in the yard and lowered her voice, "Big Brother, I saw Ruolan being very intimate with you the other day, but since we are all adults, so things still need more attention."
Bai Zehao laughed, "Ruolan is my cousin, so what? And she needs care with her condition. You’re busy with Zepei every day, so your sister-in-law and I have to pay a bit more attention."
Bai Ruozhu was speechless at her brother’s obliviousness; she reached out to poke at Big Brother’s head. Bai Zehao, afraid to dodge for fear of bumping her belly, let her poke him a couple of tis.
"Big Brother, we might be siblings by blood, but as we grow up, could I still run into your arms? Not to ntion any rules, what would it look like if the servants saw and spread rumors?" Bai Ruozhu sighed, "It may not matter with the household staff, but it’s still inappropriate. Don’t forget, Ruolan isn’t actually related by blood to us."
Bai Zehao was taken aback, right, he hadn’t thought Ruolan wasn’t his blood cousin.
"She has the mind of a child. I never thought much of it. But you’re right, it’s sowhat inappropriate." Bai Zehao nodded in sha.
This was one good thing about Big Brother; he could clearly recognize mistakes and was willing to correct them.
Bai Ruozhu nodded in satisfaction, "I’m not saying you shouldn’t care for Ruolan, but you should keep so distance. Let reliable won from the house look after her more often. Once Ruolan recovers, she’s going to get married. If she always hugs and cuddles with you, and all these servants see it, how will she ever marry?"
"This, this is really my oversight. Honestly, I’ve been avoiding her, thinking it’s awkward." Bai Zehao murmured.
"And what will sister-in-law think if she sees it? No woman would like such a thing, right?"
Bai Ruozhu thought for a mont, deciding not to voice her suspicions about Ruolan. She had no evidence, just a gut feeling over these days, and she couldn’t stir trouble without proof. Plus, she feared her brother might give sothing away if he knew, alerting Ruolan too soon.
Bai Zehao was getting nervous, "Huh? Is that why Caiyue has been ignoring lately? It might just be because of this!"
His frustration grew, "I always thought I should look after my younger siblings well, completely unaware of the implications. I’m really thick-headed!"
As he spoke, he even knocked his own head.
"Don’t bla yourself, big brother. Most n are careless, not thinking so deeply. Sister-in-law would find it hard to bring up, lest she appears petty. I’m just reminding you now. You don’t have to deliberately avoid Ruolan, but keep busy with shop affairs, too occupied to spend ti with her." Bai Ruozhu advised.
