Bai Ruozhu chuckled quietly, having already noticed the subtle differences between the two people. Given their special circumstances, the road ahead might not be easy.

But she supported them, believing that with deep love between them, they could find a way to overco any challenge.

She didn’t step forward, not wanting to disturb this beautiful scene.

"It’s okay, I’m really fine." With the morning breeze halted, breaking free from Lanlan’s hand.

Lanlan froze for a mont, realizing sothing. She had not interacted with many people and was sowhat naive, but she wasn’t stupid.

"So, you don’t want to hang out with , think I’m annoying." She forced a smile, "I interrupted you."

After saying that, she suddenly ran off towards her room, and it seed clear she was already tearing up.

Bai Ruozhu felt a bit heartache, her gaze drifting back to the morning breeze. The fists by his side clenched tightly, taking two steps as if he wanted to chase after her, but he forcibly stood still.

He hesitated, not daring to move forward.

Bai Ruozhu sighed inwardly; she didn’t want to bla Morning Breeze for his turmoil and cowardice. If she were in his shoes, she likely wouldn’t dare to approach Lanlan either.

For Morning Breeze didn’t know what his future held, nor could he be sure if the next second he would transform into a monster.

Lightning had transford into a complete python and died before him; who could guarantee he wouldn’t share a similar fate?

In the end, Morning Breeze trudged away, every step arduous, yet he chose the direction opposite to Lanlan.

Bai Ruozhu opened her mouth, intending to advise him, but ultimately closed it, understanding that from a rational perspective, Morning Breeze’s decision was sensible.

The next day, Elder Su led everyone towards the Jiuli Clan. Bai Ruozhu noticed Lanlan looking downcast, with bluish under-eyes, suggesting she hadn’t slept well.

She asked with concern, "Didn’t sleep well?"

Lanlan’s eyes were slightly red, as she leaned against her shoulder, saying, "Sister Ruozhu, am I very annoying?"

"Not at all, you’re very cute, everyone likes you." Bai Ruozhu’s heart also felt sour.

"But I’m a monster. If everyone knew I had the Phoenix Poisonous Insect inside , wouldn’t they be afraid of ?" Lanlan asked with a choked voice.

Bai Ruozhu affectionately ruffled her head, "Silly girl, don’t say such things. Nobody would think that way, and you didn’t willingly nurture the Poisonous Insect."

"But..." Her voice paused a bit, softly adding, "but Morning Breeze dislikes ."

Bai Ruozhu pondered for a mont and could only say, "He doesn’t dislike you; he dislikes himself, fearing changes in his body might hurt you."

Lanlan looked at Bai Ruozhu in surprise, "Really?"

Bai Ruozhu seriously nodded, "When have I ever lied to you?"

Lanlan’s eyes brightened again, her spirit lifting from the previous gloom almost instantly, but soon a look of concern returned to her eyes, "He’s so pitiful; can we help him?"

"This ti, going to Jiuli, I hope to find a way to help him. Don’t think too much and give him so ti to calm down; he’s quite lost right now." Bai Ruozhu said.

Lanlan nodded, "I understand."

At noon when they rested, Lanlan got off the horse carriage and saw Morning Breeze. She wanted to approach but pulled back her leg, turning to head away.

Morning Breeze quietly looked back, catching only her back, causing an aching in his heart, and his eyes darkened a bit.

Bai Ruozhu witnessed everything, feeling deeply emotional. These two had suffered considerable hardship, hoping the heavens would show rcy and let them overco difficulties to be together.

Afterward, she thought of Achun, recalling the kiss from when they explored the Illusory Realm, a scorching and lingering kiss.

Though she knew it was false, a ntal illusion caused by Poison, not really existing, she missed Achun too much, and even that imaginary kiss was worth reminiscing.

Wondering how Achun was on the other side?

Thinking too much led Bai Ruozhu to feel down, barely eating her lunch. Bai Yihong saw and sternly said, "Whether or not it’s tasty, you must eat. You have three kids to take care of; how will you have strength if you don’t eat?"

Bai Ruozhu looked at the dry cake in her hand, understanding her father thought she was being picky, hastily took a big bite and drank so water.

Lin’er quietly tugged Bai Yihong, softly saying, "Can’t you tell Ruozhu is thinking of Xiaojiang? Don’t speak if you don’t understand!"

Bai Yihong paused, saying, "Then I won’t speak."

Bai Ruozhu, with good hearing, caught her parents’ whispers directly, felt speechless, and touched her face. Was she showing it so clearly?

The team continued onward. By the next evening, they finally reached a valley.

The valley’s location was very hidden. Previously, the group abandoned their horse carriage and horses, walking through a forest and a complex mountain system before arriving.

However, looking around, it’s empty with nothing there.

Bai Ruozhu had Yizi beside her, having learned so basic array knowledge from her. Looking at the scene, she guessed that there were very profound arrays here.

"You wait here." Elder Su spoke up, then proceeded alone, taking out a jade tablet and pressed it into thin air.

Bai Ruozhu squinted, observing seemingly sothing moving in the air, like airflow that soon gathered around Elder Su’s jade tablet and absorbed it.

She quickly glanced at her family’s expressions, realizing they were all looking elsewhere, apparently not seeing the airflow.

Suddenly, she saw her second brother’s gaze fixed on the spot, feeling slightly astonished. Could he see it too?

Elder Su previously ntioned letting her participate in the Jiuli Clan trial, and her second brother could look at the Enlightennt Tablet, indicating ties with Jiuli. Perhaps this trip could bring unexpected benefits to him.

Suddenly, a voice appeared from nowhere, aged and decrepit, "Jiuli Clan mbers and Jiuli bloodline may enter, all others leave!"

The group paused before realizing the aning: except for the awakened Bai Ruozhu and Bai Zepei told by Elder Su to go to the Enlightennt Tablet, other mbers of Bai Family couldn’t enter the Jiuli Clan!

Bai Ruozhu’s face darkened imdiately, "Elder Su, what does this an? My parents are returning to see my grandmother."

Elder Su’s face also soured a bit, "You wait here; I’ll go talk to the great elder."

"I’m going too!" Jiao Ling said angrily.

The great elder had once forced her mother to separate from Bai Yihong, later hard Wei Yu, and now he stood in their way again. What exactly did he want?

Elder Su’s face turned a shade paler; he knew they were close to uncovering the matter of Wei Yu, growing fearful of confronting the truth, for he suspected what Bai Ruozhu said wasn’t baseless.
