Chapter 2272: Chapter 2271: A Farce
Jianqi’s face was as cold as ice. “She is my sworn sister. I watched her being deceived. How can I just ignore it?”
“Who deceived whom? Isn’t it you with the evil intentions?” Yuan Licheng had a smug expression, making even Fo Lanying want to punch him, let alone Jianqi, who was already furious.
Yizi burst into tears and shouted, “Stop fighting! It’s my fault, isn’t it?”
She cried so pitifully that Jianqi frowned even more, feeling a bit distressed, while Yuan Licheng showed no reaction, not caring if Yizi cried or not. This made Jianqi even angrier, convinced that Yuan Licheng wanted to use Yizi and deceive her feelings to get back at Fo Lanying.
Fo Lanying, however, felt a bit compassionate, pulling Yizi’s arm and saying, “You don’t need to worry about n’s issues. Isn’t it common for n to spar?”
Jianqi montarily distracted, accidentally stepped into the Death Gate within Yuan Licheng’s Array, and a surge of Qi shot towards his face.
“Brother, be careful!” Yizi yelled in surprise, worrying most about Jianqi in her heart.
Jianqi narrowly dodged the attack, with Yizi’s tearful and anxious voice echoing in his mind, making him feel warm inside.
Before he could think further, Yuan Licheng’s assault ca again, and Jianqi squinted, launching a fierce counterattack.
“Are you jealous? Since you’ve already acknowledged her as your sister, are you forbidding others from marrying her as a wife? You’re overstepping, aren’t you?” Yuan Licheng whispered as he closed in on Jianqi.
“You…” Jianqi was even more infuriated, swinging his sword with great force.
“If you like her too, then fight for her. Even if you win, you can’t stop from approaching her,” Yuan Licheng thought of what Fo Lanying had promised him and worked harder to provoke Jianqi.
Because his Lan Ying promised him that if he accomplished this, she’d give him a kiss, he felt elated, almost breaking into a silly grin.
However, Jianqi was so angry that his eyes turned red. He didn’t want the naive Yizi to be deceived by Yuan Licheng, but why was he so agitated? Was it just sympathy? Or a sense of justice?
He hadn’t ddled in affairs for many years; would he be this mad if it were soone else?
Jianqi’s mind was chaotic, but his moves beca more and more fierce. Originally a dark guard hidden in the shadows, trained in the path of a killer, his power climbed rapidly as soon as the thought of killing arose in his heart.
Fo Lanying noticed that Jianqi was serious, feeling a bit nervous and hurriedly said, “It’s just a spar; don’t get hurt and affect our journey.”
Unfortunately, Jianqi couldn’t hear her at this mont, and his sword aid at Yuan Licheng’s vital points, while the hurriedly set Array by Yuan Licheng was broken, forcing him closer and closer to the Cliff.
“Go to hell!” Jianqi stabbed his sword viciously towards Yuan Licheng’s heart.
“Stop!” Fo Lanying exclaid, using her Divine Sense to attack Jianqi, but his conviction was too strong and his movents too fast to be stopped.
Yuan Licheng’s face changed drastically, quickly dodging to the side, narrowly avoiding his heart being pierced, and the sword plunged into his shoulder.
“Ah…” Yuan Licheng scread, his heart filled with a vicious spirit, as he fiercely swung his knife at Jianqi.
Jianqi dodged the blade, countered with a kick, making Yuan Licheng grunt as he was kicked away, reaching for the vines by the cliff, but they snapped, and he fell down the mountain.
“Yuan Licheng!” Fo Lanying rushed to the edge of the cliff, but couldn’t even grab the hem of his clothes.
Only then did Jianqi calm down, realizing he had knocked Yuan Licheng off the Cliff.
“Yuan Licheng, answer , answer !” Fo Lanying cried out like mad, then rushed to the edge, but Yizi quickly held her back tightly.
Fo Lanying burst into tears, “Yuan Licheng, you can’t be hard. I was the one who hurt you. You can’t be hard!”
Suddenly, she stood up, staring straight at Jianqi, “I made him help you realize your own feelings, and you dare not express affection for soone. Isn’t your life tiring? But you killed him, you heartless killer, I’ll kill you to avenge Yuan Licheng!”
After those words, Fo Lanying charged at Jianqi in a frenzy, using palms, punches, and kicks. Jianqi stood stunned, neither avoiding nor countering, letting her hit and scold him incessantly.
Yizi had beco a teary ss. So it was like this. But wasn’t all this because of her? If it weren’t for her foolish crush on Brother Jianqi, none of this would have happened.
She walked step by step towards the edge of the cliff, turning to Jianqi and Fo Lanying: “Stop fighting. It’s not Brother Jianqi’s fault. All this started because of . I should pay with my life for Yuan Licheng. Sister Lan Ying, I beg you not to bla Brother Jianqi; the fault is mine, and I will atone for it!”
Fo Lanying shivered in fear and ca to her senses, “Yizi, don’t be impulsive. Co here, it’s not your fault. It’s being overconfident and foolish. Bai Ruozhu warned , but I didn’t listen.”
Jianqi looked at Yizi standing by the Cliff, tears on her face and a bleak smile, and his heart ached as if being cut with a knife.
“Yizi, don’t move. I was the one who killed him; it had nothing to do with you.” Jianqi took a step forward, reaching out to her, yet feeling she was so far away, as if he was about to lose her forever.
“No, it was my doing. I shouldn’t have liked you. With Yuan Licheng dead, I can’t escape my conscience. I’m leaving. Take care, protect our master well; she is a good person!”
After saying that, Yizi suddenly jumped, like a purple butterfly flying to the bottom of the cliff.
“Yizi!”
“Yizi!”
Fo Lanying and Jianqi shouted at the sa ti, both in tears, regretting how things had ended up like this.
Jianqi regretted distancing himself from Yizi. As painful as his heart felt now, he realized his feelings for Yizi all too well. Fo Lanying also regretted orchestrating this drama and, in her fury, wishing to kill Jianqi, forcing Yizi to death.
Suddenly, a blood-stained hand reached up from the edge of the cliff, and a weak voice said, “Quick, give a hand, I’m exhausted.”
Fo Lanying jumped up. It was Yuan Licheng’s voice!
She hurriedly rushed over to help and pulled Yuan Licheng up.
Jianqi stared blankly at the very much alive Yuan Licheng, feeling a deep irony, and angrily threw his sword to the ground, crying loudly.
Fo Lanying couldn’t help but cry too, grabbing Yuan Licheng and asking, “Did you see Yizi when you climbed up?”
