Jiang Yichun and the others already knew what had happened, but since there were many people, Bai Ruozhu did not ntion poisoning the witch doctor when she went back.

Bai Ruozhu’s face changed slightly, could she have misunderstood the witch doctor?

Late at night, Wa Wei quietly left her house. Passing by the witch doctor’s ho, she still heard cursing inside, smirked secretly, not believing in the witch doctor because if she were capable, her father wouldn’t have died.
Tiptoeing, she cautiously made her way towards the beach. After walking a short distance, she quickly turned her head, scrutinizing her surroundings, evidently very cautious.
The seaside echoed with the sound of waves crashing onto the beach, and not far away, gentle sounds of water splashing erged. Wa Wei’s face broke into a smile as she hurriedly followed the sound.
"Why have you co again? What if you get caught?" Her voice had a tone of chiding but couldn’t hide her subtle joy.
A young man floated in the water, smiling at her with neat teeth, under the moonlight he resembled a sea sprite.
"I ca to see if you’ve been crying." The young man’s voice was light yet lodious.
