"No need to trouble Lord Bai. Luan Xin just saw a doctor this morning and took his dicine; it wouldn’t be right to involve too many people. I believe he’ll recover soon, and then I’ll have him formally thank the two of you." Luan Xin’s father said as he served tea, clearly intending to send them off.
Bai Ruozhu was annoyed but didn’t want to fall out with Luan Xin’s father, so she pulled Jiang Yichun away and left, her robe sleeves fluttering.
"That father of Luan Xin must be out of his mind! Can’t manage his concubine, causing all these issues at ho, yet won’t let his son see friends. Is there sothing wrong with him?" Bai Ruozhu started venting as soon as they walked out of the Residence’s gate.
Jiang Yichun took her hand and said, "It’s not worth getting angry over such people, besides, can they stop us?"
Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but laugh. The two of them circled around to the backyard and climbed over the Wall into the Canghe family, wandering around the estate until they finally found Luan Xin in a secluded corner.
"How did you two get here?" Luan Xin was surprised, clearly unaware they had co to visit.
"Your father said you were sick and wouldn’t allow us to see you, so we had no choice but to climb over the wall." Bai Ruozhu sighed, "Can you adjust to living here?"
