Shanhu gratefully thanked Bai Ruozhu and took a spoonful to taste. It was pleasantly tangy and spicy, but not too overpowering, soothing her nausea quite a bit.
Bai Ruozhu noticed that Shanhu’s complexion looked better and secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Fortunately, Xu Chenzi’s attention wasn’t on Shanhu and didn’t notice anything unusual.
Beside her, Yaxi buried herself in her al without uttering a word. Bai Ruozhu worried she might be nervous, so she let her sit next to her and served her plenty of dishes.
Yaxi glanced up and smiled at Bai Ruozhu, then quickly looked at Shanhu, her face sowhat uneasy.
Bai Ruozhu found it odd and wondered what was wrong with Yaxi.
As the al concluded, Bai Ruozhu suggested arranging a room for Xu Chenzi, but she declined, saying she would share a room with her disciple to avoid troubling them.
"You’re too polite, senior. We have plenty of guest rooms here, and they’re all cleaned, so it’s no trouble at all. Shanhu’s room only has one bed; it would be too cramped for you both." Bai Ruozhu quickly said, thinking if Xu Chenzi stayed with Shanhu day and night, their secret might be exposed too easily.
Many won experience nausea early in pregnancy, and although Shanhu was in good health and not prone to vomiting often, she was still occasionally queasy.
Xu Chenzi didn’t insist further and agreed.
Before long, Xu Chenzi’s room was ready, and she moved in.
After wrapping up these matters, Bai Ruozhu turned to Yaxi’s room.
"Yaxi, is there sothing you couldn’t say today?" Bai Ruozhu asked directly.
Yaxi frowned slightly, "Sister Ruozhu, when I looked at Shanhu today, I kept feeling sothing was odd about her, especially around her belly."

Yaxi nodded and examined Shanhu’s belly in detail, "There’s still a black spot."
Shanhu grew nervous, "What black spot?"
Bai Ruozhu patted her hand reassuringly, "Don’t worry, let Xiaomao take a look."
She then released Xiaomao, who hovered at Shanhu’s brow, and after a mont, reported back to Bai Ruozhu.
"A poisonous insect entered her body, it seems recent and is still in egg form, should not have hard her fetus."
Bai Ruozhu was greatly alard, realizing Shanhu hadn’t left the posthouse, yet was still infected by a poisonous insect, indicating an enemy that knew no bounds.
It seed the only explanation was Song Yi visiting the posthouse that day and secretly planting sothing, but even Xiaomao hadn’t detected it, truly difficult to prevent.
"Ruozhu, how is it?" Shanhu nervously asked.
"It seems a poisonous insect entered your body last night, likely one of those female poisonous insect offspring. Fortunately, Yaxi noticed in ti, and it hasn’t hatched yet," Bai Ruozhu replied truthfully.
"Is the child okay? Will it affect the child?" Shanhu almost shouted in her anxiety.
Though she was hesitant, deep down she greatly desired this child.
"For now, it’s okay, but we can’t delay. This type of insect is new to , so I’m not certain I can help you remove it." Bai Ruozhu said.
"Try your best, please. And don’t tell Qiu Zhi; he’ll get very worried, and if my master finds out, I’m afraid this child might..."
Bai Ruozhu nodded, "Alright, I understand, and Yaxi won’t say anything."
She noticed Yaxi was still in a daze and murmuring, "How could I see the poisonous insect?"
"It must be related to your previous experience with a poisonous insect, but you really helped Shanhu this ti. Although Xiaomao can detect insects, it can’t constantly check everyone, but you can identify insects by sight, potentially saving many." Bai Ruozhu encouraged her.
Yaxi cald down considerably, "I didn’t expect to have such an ability; as long as I can help you all, that’s enough."
"Go rest first, I’ll try to extract the insect from Shanhu, see if it works." Bai Ruozhu wasn’t sure if the golden glow could expel the insect yet.
"Okay, let know if you need anything." Yaxi said before leaving the room.
Bai Ruozhu took out the silver needle and told Shanhu, "Sit still and relax, close your eyes and focus your mind."
Shanhu obeyed as Bai Ruozhu used the needle to stabilize her Qi Blood, ensuring the golden glow wouldn’t affect her fetus when they expelled the insect.
Then she temporarily put Shanhu into a sleep-like state, bringing her into the Space.
As they approached the golden body, it emitted a soft golden light, pouring into Shanhu’s belly.
Bai Ruozhu’s heart was tight, closely monitoring Shanhu’s pulse, fearing any harm to her unborn child.
Fortunately, the process was smoother than Bai Ruozhu anticipated, and soon a black insect egg fell from Shanhu’s body (don’t focus on where it ca from, it’s a bit gross...), and Xiaomao happily dashed over, as if the egg was nourishing for it.
Unexpectedly, the spring eye from the Hot Spring shot over and swallowed the egg.
Bai Ruozhu was dumbfounded, snapping back to herself angrily, "What are you, a spring eye, doing eating a poisonous insect? Don’t make my Hot Spring Pool dirty."
The spring eye smugly hopped back to the Hot Spring Pool, imdiately condensing a drop of spring eye essence.
It directly spat the essence toward Xiaomao, showing it was compensating Xiaomao.
Bai Ruozhu watched, uncertain of what to say; well, it seems this is a better utilization, as the spring eye benefited, and Xiaomao certainly preferred the spring eye’s essence. She may have discovered a new thod to enhance her poisonous insects and beast pets.
Luckily, it was discovered in ti; the insect hadn’t hatched, and Shanhu’s body was free of insect poison, ensuring no harm to the fetus’s health.
