Chapter 1090: Chapter 148 Collaborators (4000)_2

In short, Master Gravie’s attitude sparked another thought in Ian’s mind… that is the idea of trying to add ‘collaborators’.

Master Gravie holds a rather awkward status; he is a Canaan Moore immigrant of The Empire, having glowed in his youth during its heyday, only to return to Canaan Moore in his twilight years. Although he still wishes to serve Canaan Moore, Ian can figure out just by using his toes that this master would receive very little resources upon returning.

This is evident from Master Gravie’s willingness to risk death to bring back Life Tree fragnts… He’s aware of his awkward situation, thus he’s decided on his final research projects and inheritance, dedicating all his remaining research ti to ‘Familiarization’.

Since that’s the case, they might as well cooperate. Although Ian can’t offer Master Gravie any resources… he can certainly share his thoughts and part of his research findings!

The Arcane Pathway requires pooling of ideas, and it doesn’t actually conflict with Familiarization.

Ian stood up and walked towards Master Gravie, raising his hand amidst the other’s puzzled expression.

“I thought you were coming to silence .”

The elderly Elf tutted twice, showing no fear at all, and extended his hand to shake Ian’s.

He sensed Ian’s Origin Quality, so he activated his own Origin Quality to perceive it.

Then… his eyes widened, revealing an incredulous expression.

“What?! This is impossible!”

Master Gravie jumped up straight from the bed; although aging, his stature was quite tall, and just the commotion of his action created a dent on the cabin floor—yet this still couldn’t diminish Gravie’s shock.

“Your Origin Quality purity, density… I sensed it, this new, extraordinary Essence Organ?!”

Under Ian’s guidance, Master Gravie perceived Ian’s ‘Essence Furnace Core’ within him. As one of the world’s best Biological Alchemists, he couldn’t possibly fail to understand the advantages and perfection of the Essence Furnace Core, hence he marveled: “Spirits Above, such an organ that can regulate Origin Quality purity, density, and pressure at will, such a structure that can continuously refine and store Origin Quality… how much stress it can alleviate from the body caused by Origin Quality!”

“Apart from the enhancent in combat effectiveness, this Sublimation Organ can greatly mitigate the bodily burden caused by the excessively powerful Origin Quality of high energy level experts! Ian!”

Master Gravie earnestly gazed at the young man before him and slowly said: “Perhaps, you, young man, haven’t felt it yet.”

“But, this is a life-extending Sublimation Organ!”

“Although it doesn’t extend life greatly, it indeed redies part of the contemporary Sublimators’ shortcomings.” Ian admitted cheerfully: “Besides, haven’t you noticed? Your Familiarization research can significantly enhance ordinary people’s physical constitution… that’s a transformation of life essence, but due to the Life Tree’s power erosion, people can’t control this Follower Clan power.”

“Yet, if there’s an Essence Furnace Core, people can better utilize their own Origin Quality, control the Life Tree’s power, and stabilize the aberration mutations brought by Familiarization.”

“Combining these two technologies… offers far more than just lifespan extension.”

Earlier, when Ian suppressed the Life Tree Familiarization erosion for Master Gravie, he discovered that the other’s Familiarization technology had quite a few flaws, the foremost being that the entire body gradually beca wooden, increasing strength but reducing agility.

Even complete Familiarization extends life, yet individuals may turn into tree-like forms, difficult to move.

Such longevity, likely nobody would want.

And the reason for this occurrence is precisely because the Life Tree’s Origin Quality influence is too great, uncontrollable by Sublimators… yet the Essence Furnace Core can address this aspect.

“Indeed. The Essence Furnace Core and Familiarization… are an excellent match!”

Gravie sensed this too—recalling the strangely stabilized Life Tree factors within him since awakening.

Undoubtedly, that was Ian using his unusually high purity Origin Quality for conditioning, and due to this, he could see through Gravie’s research on Familiarization.

If he too had an Essence Furnace Core, then Master Gravie believed that, without Ian’s help, rely relying on the Essence Furnace Core to crush, burn, and purify the abnormal Origin Quality, he could suppress most of the side effects on himself!

In this way, many negative effects of Familiarization can be improved using the Essence Furnace Core!

At this mont, Master Gravie also sensed Ian setting strange Spirit Energy and Origin Quality hybrids throughout his own internals.

Ah yes, that is the Primal Aether of the Third Energy Level. Ian is subtly making moves with his power as a precaution against potential leaks from him.

But now, such matters no longer concern.

“Remarkable.”

At this mont, it’s truly that Master Gravie submitted to Ian wholeheartedly—holding the young man’s hand, and gazing complexly at his chest: “I spent fifty years researching, only to achieve the most rudintary ‘Familiarization Frawork’, even using myself as a test subject didn’t procure complete experintal data… yet you’ve already achieved mature results.”

“Whether inherited from your ntor or independently developed, as long as you can proficiently use and master it, it’s an extrely significant achievent!”

“In fact, this is precisely my independent developnt.”

In the face of soone knowledgeable, Ian planned to be entirely unreserved—old research fellows like Master Gravie may disregard credentials, but absolutely appreciate achievents; without demonstrating his capabilities, they definitely wouldn’t be convinced.

“We could collaborate in the future.”

After Ian set up the flexible Aether traps within Master Gravie, he released his hand. Ian displayed a gentle smile warm enough to turn winter into spring: “I’ll stay in Canaan Moore for so ti, during which we can properly exchange ideas.”

“I look forward to it.”

The old researcher straightened his collar, feeling very complex—relieved at saving his own life, but unsatisfied at having his critical research materials taken, joyful at encountering a peer, and regretful at witnessing a true genius.

—When could Elves have such a prodigy surpassing the era, even creating a whole new era?

Impossible… in the system of Canaan Moore, even true prodigies like Ian would certainly be smothered in the cradle… no one can tolerate such talent falling into enemy hands.

Even if Ian feigned weakness, it’s because he was too astonishing… as long as the young man maintained his disguise, whoever beca emperor would opt to continually invest in him.

As for now…

Outside the room ca sounds of massive explosions and faint roaring of Sea Beasts.

—Haha, the conversation was so engaging that we forgot the Siren was currently under attack by Sea Beasts.

But, at this point, Master Gravie no longer worries the least about his safety.

Regardless of whether Elden can defeat the three Sea Beast Kings, at least with Ian’s Third Energy Level strength, escorting so people to safely retreat would be no trouble?

“What plans do you have?”

The old man asked, “I guess you won’t expose your strength, but how will you assist Elden in dealing with those three Sea Beast Kings?”

“No need to resolve. Or rather, no need for a violent resolution.”

Stepping forward, opening the master’s door, Ian confidently stated: “I have friends going to conduct a friendly coal exchange with them… and those ordinary Sea Beasts, nurous as they are, don’t need to fight, they’ll scatter on their own.”

“Not necessarily.” Master Gravie gently shook his head: “The attacking Sea Beasts this ti are the elites surrounding the Beast King; unless the Sea Beast King retreats, they certainly won’t retreat.”

“Certainly will.” Ian lightly shook his head: “Only, I need to… offer a small assistance.”

“What assistance?”

Master Gravie curiously asked.

Then, he received a simple answer.

“Drug them.”
