Capítulo 1453: Chapter 250: Heart of Terra (2/2)

“Go to sleep.”

Stepping forward, Ian gently patted the soul of the little girl on the head and said softly, “Rest well… if you don’t wish to awaken, then sleep forever in this virtual underworld.”

“This is one of the few things I can do for you.”

[It is… our Deceased Monarch]

Whispering and shadowy, the white souls surrounding Ian bowed to him: [Thank you for finding us a brand new ho]

Then, under the guidance of the two leading souls, they imrsed themselves into the Source Quality Calculating Chip.

Starting a long-awaited ‘rest.’

“This is the train of thought from the Fiery Fla Land Armored Knights, using artificial constructs to store the souls of humans instead of the physical body.”

Ian watched the souls forming the Monarch’s Mark imrse themselves into the calculating core, with a faint smile on his face: “It’s what we discussed before, an artificial underworld. A sheltering facility paired with artificial souls.”

“Back then, we even talked about building massive artificial underworlds around energy furnaces to ensure their safety… but that was only a temporary shelter, not comprehensive, and the calculating core in my hand is theoretically the most complete one.”

“Adalbert, this place can let souls rest in peace.”

Facing the crimson underworld core, Ian opened his arms to the white-haired Deceased Monarch and said calmly, “What do you want to do?”

“Finally…”

And faced with Ian’s opening, Adalbert was full of relief after the initial shock: “I can finally let go…”

“It’s not that I’m unwilling to bear the heavy burden, I just know that this is not the fate they should have.”

Slowly stepping forward, the young researcher unknowingly filled with tears: “Finally, I can let them rest…”

Without any hesitation, Adalbert resolutely stretched out his hand and stripped his forehead of the Monarch’s Mark!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

As if tree roots were being torn, as if vines were being plucked, the chains entwined around the Monarch and the myriad souls were being wrenched apart in an excruciating pain that was worse than death.

But the slender researcher didn’t falter for a mont; he gritted his teeth and with all his strength, removed the mark that granted him divine power and elevated him to the Third Energy Level.

Crack.

He succeeded.

Half-kneeling on the ground, the trembling Monarch suddenly paused, then slowly lowered his hand.

The pale glowing Monarch’s Mark was stripped away and lay in the palm of his hand.

The souls imprisoned within began to disperse, transforming into nurous white souls that surrounded Adalbert.

[Monarch…]

[Why release us…]

[Is there another battle? We will act for your will…]

The lost souls clustered around the frail young man, who staggered to his feet, smiling as he explained the situation to them.

[But]

Upon hearing that Adalbert wished to grant them freedom, the souls felt a mix of joy and worry: [Without our help, Monarch, won’t you be in danger?]

[This world is filled with terrors; how will you face them alone?]

Unlike Ian, after separating from the Monarch, Adalbert’s combat strength was likely less than that of an ordinary person for a short ti.

His soul was deeply entwined with the Monarch’s Mark, and upon separation, even his spirit was sowhat unstable.

The lost souls under Ian’s command didn’t mind leaving him because they knew they might actually be a burden to him.

But with Adalbert, it was the opposite—they began to worry about him.

The contrast was stark.

“Don’t worry.”

But Adalbert rely shook his head gently and spoke softly to the concerned souls: “As long as my mind remains, I will ultimately achieve the power I deserve, which is not built on your suffering and oppression.”

“The Monarch is a despicable source of power, holding it is what causes unrest.”

[If that is your wish, Monarch…]

[Then we shall obey]

Hearing Adalbert’s words, his subjects hesitantly headed toward the Source Quality Calculating Chip.

Ian watched this scene.

Once all the souls within Adalbert’s Monarch’s Mark entered the crimson calculating core, Ian slowly spoke: “You are more decisive than I thought.”

“That’s only natural.” Adalbert smiled at Ian: “I have learned a lot from you… I won’t hesitate for this temporary power, even if the price is returning to this fragile mortal body.”

“Is that so?”

But Ian raised his eyebrow, the corners of his mouth lifting: “Are you truly weak, Adalbert?”

“If you were truly weak, so much so that you would be even less than a First-Level Sublimator without the Monarch, why then can you stand here and not be expelled by your own Domain of Void?”

The young researcher froze slightly, and Ian continued: “In fact, Adalbert, you are a genuine genius in the ditation Technique, your soul is already very powerful…”

“It was just the power of the Monarch that masked your own strength, so you hadn’t realized it.”

“Let guide you now into the true ‘Arcane Pathway.'”

With that said, Ian extended his hands.

Then, darkness began to spread within the Domain of Void, engulfing his body.

Darkness. Pure darkness.

The abyss-like void consud the light of the Domain, a mystical phenonon caused by a powerful soul absorbing the surrounding spirit substances. Just as powerful Voidrealm Machine Gods always appear by ‘opening a dark fissure,’ that dark fissure is the abyss of the Domain, toward which vast Natural Spirit Energy surges, ultimately forging their embodint.
