When Heartbewitcher awoke, the first thing he saw was the face of two very good-looking people.
——Strange, why do I feel such a sense of closeness to them?
At first, the Fusion Demon felt sothing was off, but he quickly dismissed this feeling because the person with aquamarine eyes spoke: "Awake? The surgery was successful, you are now a demon of the Silverpeak Domain."
——To be honest, indeed. I am indeed a demon of Silverpeak Domain.
His thoughts flowed very smoothly, even when Heartbewitcher heard the silhouette with blood-red eyes murmuring worriedly, ’Are you sure there’s no problem rewriting the soul to imprint the seal?’ ’Is it really okay to arbitrarily modify a living person’s mind like this?’ he harbored no doubts.
"Don’t worry, demons have no human rights. I have many experints on seals that I can only perform on these subjects sent to ."
Ian waved his hand, signaling to Adalbert not to be too sensitive: "You surely don’t want to experint on our own people, nor do you want the Heart of Terra to bug out once we write the new seal program, right?"
Indeed, even Adalbert didn’t want to fix bugs.
So, he rely looked at the demon in front of him with a sympathetic eye and sighed, "Although we shouldn’t pity the enemy, being brainwashed into this state, whether they are an enemy has beco completely irrelevant..."
Ian expressed dissatisfaction with this: "I’ve said it many tis already, this isn’t brainwashing, it’s a very advanced soul modification surgery coupled with the Soul’s Steel Seal!"
Others deeply misunderstand him, always assuming he has so unknown card up his sleeve regarding spirit energy.
Then Ian turned his head, looking at Heartbewitcher.
"Whom do you serve." he asked.
"I do not serve anyone." Heartbewitcher replied without hesitation: "Outwardly, I serve the Fiery Fla Land, but in truth, after enduring much pain from the Fiery Fla Land, I had long resolved to strive for a better future for humans!"
"Ian Silverpeak is my direct superior, but he is not my master; I serve no one, which ans I serve all people!"
"My true mission is to strive for the unity of humanity, for a beautiful society where everyone has food to eat, a house to live in, and the opportunity to chase their dreams and convictions in this future!"
"Although my body is that of a demon, my heart remains brilliant and bright!"
"No matter how you think about it, it’s quite absurd..." Adalbert muttered softly while shrinking behind Ian, apparently unable to bear looking at Heartbewitcher as he is now: "Even if the core essence of the Fusion Demon is human thought, it shouldn’t twist into sothing like this..."
"This is not a twist."
Ian shook his head, speaking earnestly: "Ace Nemasys, the prototype of Heartbewitcher. In essence, he wasn’t a bad person but soone who longed for parental attention, hoping for a stable life."

This pain made him subconsciously want to rid himself of his identity as a person of the Fiery Fla Land, which led him to be willing to beco a demon, and naturally also willing to beco a ’Person of Silverpeak’."
"It’s a direction of thought, I didn’t modify much, just let him go with his heart and get an answer, so this can’t be counted as brainwashing, only as following his heart."

Adalbert was still having difficulty accepting it, looking at Ian as though he were the demon: "No matter how kind he is in essence, his life in the Fiery Fla Land has already twisted him into willingly becoming a demon, eagerly jumping off a skyship—how did you resolve this part?"
"I deserve to die!"
Upon hearing Adalbert’s words, Heartbewitcher’s soul imdiately knelt, crying bitterly from the heart: "If I could, I would truly be willing to pay with my life for all the people I hard. Fortunately, my mission failed, and I haven’t committed truly unforgivable sins in a real sense, so I want to atone for my cris, bringing a bit of starlight to the bleak future with what little I can do!"
"See." Ian shrugged, initially wanting to explain: "Just face it candidly. Demons aren’t humans; they aren’t stubborn enough to refuse admitting wrongs for the sake of face."
"Speaking of which, faeries seem to be the sa way; it appears beings from the Domain of Void truly have a hard ti deceiving themselves."
"Ah, this..."
By this point, Adalbert was at a loss for words, his feelings echoing that he, as the Giant of Light, protected Xiahui City too well, allowing Heartbewitcher to convert his thinking smoothly, achieving complete goodness.
Is all of this to his own credit?
Leaving Heartbewitcher alive, rather than taking him out for public trial and execution, Ian naturally had his reasons.
He needed to use Heartbewitcher’s identity to try and gather intelligence on the Fiery Fla Land’s demon army. If possible, he hoped Heartbewitcher could serve as a ’spy’, lurking within the opposing demon forces.
Surely, even the insanely ruthless Fiery Fla Land would never suspect that the Fusion Demon they sent out as a spy would be brainwashed and sent back as a spy, right?
