Capítulo 1637: Chapter 308: Ice Prison Dust

But Ian considered that he also had the authority of the Heterogenous Research Institute’s Director. Even though it might not be as good as the local authority in the City of Knowledge, he thought there should be a backdoor to enter…but that’s not what needs to be done now.

For now, what he needed to do was to use Foresight View as much as possible, to patrol each Floating Island one by one, to search for artifacts and buildings he deed valuable, and to replicate them into the Rites of the Star Gods.

And it was when Ian discovered the eightieth island that he noticed a huge unexpected discovery.

“Huh? Silver and gold?!”

In the form of a Dark Gold Dragon, Ian was taken aback, spending a few seconds transforming into a Human shape and descending on this seemingly unremarkable Floating Island: “There are actually treasures like this here?”

As the top-spirit energy for treasure hunting, the characteristic of Foresight View in identifying precious materials helped Ian greatly, but things that were silver were always rare, let alone golden light.

You must know, even if it’s the Path of the Dao, generally it’s just golden light; only on the Dying Star Path would there be rainbow-colored light.

As for the additional few seconds he deliberately spent, it was ant as a Thought Imprint for everyone watching him, making them believe that his transformation indeed took ti.

Details determine success or failure.

“Fourth and Fifth Energy Level objects?” Yisen Gard was also quite surprised, he also understood the color Ian’s Foresight View saw corresponded to the energy level, making him quite curious: “Though the City of Knowledge is full of treasures, most refer to knowledge and technology.”

“If there were any particularly expensive materials, they would have been taken by those researchers for experints long ago, but creations of the Fourth and Fifth Energy Levels…”

He looked up, glanced at the rather ordinary town on this Floating Island, and also the ‘Mist Dust Tower’ at its center, and couldn’t help but shake his head: “If it weren’t you saying it, I wouldn’t have believed it.”

The Thousand Towers of the City of Knowledge naturally had a hierarchy. At the Highest Level are the spires where the Chief Scholar and Spire Master are, located in the very center and the highest area of the City of Knowledge, overlooking everything around.

The second tier is where ‘spires’ have been located that have produced Spire Masters or Chief Scholars in the past three hundred years.

As for the third tier, they are the ‘towers’ that can remain on the Floating City and have their own special research achievents.

As for the final tier, they are ‘tower blocks’ located in the ground area of the City of Knowledge that do not float along with the Heavenly tropolis.

Mist Dust Tower is rely a ‘tower’ of the third tier, proving it hasn’t produced even a single Spire Master in these three hundred years, let alone a Chief Scholar.

This can’t be considered poor, for being able to stay in the sky ans Mist Dust Tower still has its own unique research fields and achievents, qualifying it to participate in the City’s five-year plan developnt conferences.

But to think it has the Fourth and Fifth Energy Levels would be too much.

“Let’s go check it out.”

Ian thought he might be witnessing the beginning of a tower’s ascent to a spire, or perhaps, he might have discovered a sensational overlooked treasure—in any case, this should be the greatest gain of this island-patrol freeloading trip.

Without hesitation, the two quickly arrived at the town within the Floating Island, standing in front of the shop with the silver and gold halo.

This was a tidy little shop selling various Alchemy Matrix and so basic potions. Of course, as per the local custom of the City of Knowledge, the local alchemy shops would sell their exclusive ‘sauce’, which was truly their shop’s best-selling or signature skill.

The little shop nad ‘Imaginative’ was clean and tidy, and the sauce stall at the entrance offered a sweet and spicy dip, which paired uniquely with local pigeon egg pancakes. However, inside there were no clerks or shopkeepers, only an iron automaton.

[Welco]

This iron automaton was a relatively traditional cylindrical robot, seen on other Floating Islands of the City of Knowledge, mostly used as street cleaning robots, so restock vending machines, or deliver takeout. Here, it was the cashier.

Ian glanced at the robot and then directly looked at the area where the silver and gold light was located.

It was a row of Alchemy Matrixes, mostly white, with a few blue ones, and the silver and gold glimr was nestled in the deepest corner, Ian went forward and retrieved it.

It was a bottle of what looked like a transparent silver ‘solution’, seemingly mundane, even more ordinary than most alchemical potions.

However, at the mont of picking it up, Ian’s pupils slightly contracted.

Ice Prison? Ice Prison Dust?

Seeing this suffix, an instant flash of the terrifying calamity ‘Ice Prison Calamity Ash’ that put his ntor Hiliard in a perilous situation crossed Ian’s mind.

It was a nanoscale Originium Plague, even immune to Fifth Energy Level. If not for the fact that Ice Prison Calamity Ash would only destroy the first activated target it ca into contact with and then cease to operate, its terror would not even make it surprising to destroy the world.
