Capítulo 1653: Chapter 313: I’ll Be the First
Parallel Universe.
Everyone present could understand the concept, but not the significance of Kerraith ntioning this term.
The universe was born from a great explosion, and the infinite space-ti we exist in was created as a result — but in reality, that explosion resulted in not just infinite space-ti, but infinite parallel space-tis as well.
Once it was confird that everyone present was aware of the concept of ‘parallel universes’, Kerraith wasted no words and directly explained: “Infinite parallel space-tis represent infinite possibilities. Every ti the universe experiences the smallest change in the smallest amount of ti, a brand new parallel universe is born.”
“In fact, there might even be parallel universes exactly like our own ‘past’ and ‘future’ — no, it’s not even a possibility, for the number is infinite, and there are inevitably parallel universes where the sa events occur, just at different tis.”
“These parallel universes originally had nothing to do with us. Even if our civilization developed to the extent that it could traverse the Milky Way, we couldn’t interfere with or even observe parallel space-tis… but in our universe, there exists an ancient and powerful force.”
“It is called Aether, a substance that transcends space-ti and infinite parallel universes.”
At this point, Kerraith looked towards Mahdi: “The Prophet may be using this ‘Aether,’ a power that transcends space and ti, to glimpse the developnt of those parallel space-tis with different tilines, enabling them to ‘predict the future’.
“To see is the first step of ‘interference.’ With the power of Aether, we can interact with parallel space-tis.”
“Chief Scholar, we are aware of these concepts already.”
At this mont, the Dark Gold Colossus Dragon spoke in a deep voice, with an impatient tone: “Let’s get to the point quickly!”
— What do you know? Let him explain clearly!
Imdiately, several sowhat bewildered emissaries and researchers from major factions turned angrily towards the direction of Mahdi… Indeed, they all knew the Prophet likely used Aether to make predictions, given that most Fifth Energy Level individuals could instinctively sense super-temporal events.
But why was Kerraith saying these things? What was the connection to his Path of the Dao?
Unlike Mahdi’s Arcane Pathway, which essentially optimizes the Sublimation Path and becos clear upon sight, Kerraith’s path was so profound that not understanding it now could an not understanding anything later.
Yet Ian was unconcerned about this.
As the holder of the ‘Reincarnation of the End,’ the Heartlight Body Guiding Star is the manifestation of the concept of transcending space-ti reincarnation. He realized that his initial ‘inspiration’ perhaps ca from Kerraith.
The original Ian who first created the ‘Guiding Star’ likely completed his creation under the inspiration or guidance of this Chief Scholar’s Path of the Dao!
And now, he might just glimpse from the other’s path how to upgrade the ‘Guiding Star’!
“I know you all want to understand the connection between parallel universes and my Path of the Dao.”
To the sowhat restless crowd, the blue-eyed scholar smiled and said: “Actually, it’s quite simple.”
“Our universe, as it stands, has no future.”
Calmly stated, this was a sentence that left everyone bewildered and uneasy. Kerraith continued: “Eighty years ago, the Academia’s Astral Spire, as well as the last batch of astronors in this world, discovered a despairing truth — the starfield we inhabit has been sealed by a vast, incomprehensible, and even beyond our cognitive ability ‘cage’.”
“All stars will disappear within a century; the future territory we can explore is only ten planets and one star within a radius of five light-years… Does that sound like a lot? But among them, fewer than five can be transford into habitable environnts, and that would require Mr. Mahdi’s Arcane Pathway to transform everyone into Sublimators to achieve.”
“Humans have no future. Based on current population growth and technological developnt, Terra will be overcrowded in seventy-five to one hundred and twenty-five years.”
At this point, he looked around at everyone present: “This is also your ‘rit’ — because of the technological advancents you brought, public life has improved, and the desire for procreation has increased.”
“I’m not blaming anyone; I’m simply stating that if we had followed the Terra Accord from eighty years ago and restricted certain technologies related to public welfare, maintaining the population at around six billion, Terra could sustain human life almost indefinitely.”
“But now, just seven months ago, Terra’s total population exceeded six billion, and that’s only the countable population. The actual population… I would guess it’s already over eight billion.”
“Unless a global world war sweeps across, the trend of population explosion cannot be curbed, and Terra will soon drastically change due to human activities, with the ecosystem following suit and deteriorating.”
“Especially with Mr. Mahdi’s Arcane Pathway, humanity can even be fearless of general magical beasts’ blockades, venturing to develop those unapproachable primal forests and great wildernesses, accelerating human population surges even further.”
— I see!
At this mont, Ian had an epiphany.
He now roughly understood why in a place like Terra, with so much legacy, it took until the last decade or so to develop agricultural fertilizers.
