From Ian’s perspective, every person sleeping in the fleet sprouted a line.

This line appeared delicate, yet it extended all the way to the heavens above, with thousands upon thousands of lines rising from the city and the sea, piercing deep into the Domain of Void, almost forming a forest of spiritual light.

"Interesting, it seems Far Shore Island is quite active in the Domain of Void."

Squinting slightly, Ian could essentially confirm that Far Shore Island is using the virtual dreamscape within the Domain of Void to soothe its citizens, allowing the Far Shore People to live ntally stable lives on this highly pressured land.

Given Ian’s current Spirit Energy level, he didn’t even need to search for Dreaming Potion to ’follow and enter’; he could directly project his will into the mind of any random fisherman and, through the other person’s consciousness, enter the ’dream’.

He chose a nearby fisherman, and Ian’s consciousness followed him into the depths of the Domain of Void.

After a brief darkness, a world of brilliant colors materialized.

When Ian opened his eyes, he found himself in a bright and springlike mountain gorge. In the center of the gorge was a winding river, and the riverbed was incredibly fertile, teeming with rows and rows of small trees. Sunlight filtered through the branches and leaves, casting mottled golden light on the forest path.

"This isn’t the Domain of Void... it’s so kind of illusion created by an artifact within the Domain of Void, much like the ’Underworld’ inside the Heart of Terra..."

Ian imdiately sensed sothing was off, because the sensation of this ’Dream of the Virtual Realm’ was extrely familiar. However, the Underworld inside the Heart of Terra was vast and empty, only a white plain of rest and a red firmant.

In other words, the ’Dream of the Virtual Realm’ inside the Heart of Terra is a blank slate, rely a place for souls to sleep, whereas the virtual dreamscape on Far Shore Island is rich to the point that it’s difficult for ordinary people to comprehend.

The fisherman Ian inhabited was a young man in his early twenties, a black-haired, brown-skinned Descendant of the Sea. It wasn’t clear if his lineage included sea urchins or starfish. He glanced around and then walked briskly toward a gorge’s mouth.

Ian was pretty curious about what these Far Shore Islanders did in their virtual dreams, so he followed closely.

Then, Ian witnessed an astonishing palace erge behind the gorge’s mouth!

It was an independent villa with a typical pre-era civilization style and a post-modern minimalist look, even sowhat resembling architecture from Earth’s Star Era, appearing very streamlined. As the fisherman approached the gate, the door automatically opened after the cara scanned, greeting him warmly.

"What the hell, why is there a mansion here?"

Ian was quite surprised as he watched the fisherman comfortably lie on the sofa in this pre-era style villa. Invisible servants then served him various delicious cuisines and fruits — whether it was ruby beef, roasted wind falcon, or the Imperial Capital’s Golden Fruit Honey Wine, all the nad delicacies of the Terra Continent were available!

After eating and drinking his fill, the fisherman rested for a while — to be precise, he went up to the fourth-floor balcony, sat on an ergonomic chair, and comfortably watched the river valley scenery outside, letting his mind drift.

During all this, Ian let his consciousness ascend — observing from above, he found that several kiloters away, there was another mansion with people inside similarly indulging.

However, the owner of this mansion had chosen an architectural style akin to the frozen fortresses of Yanjiang, solemn and severe, but its backyard had a massive hot spring, and the mansion’s owner was enjoying it alone, appearing utterly content.

"So is that it? Creating a virtual world where everyone enjoys top-notch food and ntal entertainnt..."

Ian murmured to himself, still feeling sothing amiss: "But it can’t just be that — if it were, this shallow enjoynt wouldn’t last long before feeling empty, right?"

To be honest, Ian didn’t fully understand the Far Shore Islanders’ ntal state; he just instinctively felt that this ’Dream of the Virtual Realm,’ likely using pre-era civilization facilities, shouldn’t be so simple.

And indeed, it wasn’t.

About one or two hours later, within Ian’s field of vision, all the Far Shore Islanders who were enjoying themselves finished their relaxation and left their mansions.

With serious expressions, they gathered in the vacant spaces of their residences, and a gentle voice suddenly resounded from above the firmant, echoing throughout the world.

[Hello everyone, I’m the ’Far Voyager’ Colony Spaceship Simulation Core. All participants in this learning session, please end your entertainnt and work, and begin today’s course.]

[Today, our courses are ’How to Produce a Simple Hydroelectric Generator with Bare Hands’ and ’How to Deal with Potential Extraterrestrial Beasts’...]

"Phew, at least it’s not two combat lessons."

Ian heard the fisherman, he had possessed, breathe a sigh of relief: "I’m really tired of the sensation of being torn apart by magical beasts..."

Of course, so others complained: "What’s there to teach about hydroelectric generators? Far Shore Island only has a few rivers; we can’t even build a dam!"

"The only useful tidal generator is a high-level course, and it’s extrely hard; we can’t even understand it, let alone learn it."

"What the hell."

Ian widened his eyes but wasn’t shocked, rely feeling a strange sense of "of course this is Terra": "The ’Far Voyager’ Colony Spaceship? Simulation Core? Learning courses?"

"Is this essentially a learning device?"

Indeed, it was a learning device.

For the next few hours, everyone, at least within Ian’s range of perception, was cutting wood along the river, building waterwheel dams, then installing the pre-prepared power turbine and corresponding bearing parts to create ’simple hydroelectric generators.’ Because the core components were provided by the dream, it essentially just honed the learners’ ability to construct compliant waterwheels and dams. Yet, even so, it left many people sweating profusely.

Moreover, not everyone could learn the skill; even by the end of the course, so people still hadn’t grasped the assembly process.

Ian confird that in the dream, people only needed to knock on trees a few tis for them all to collapse, transforming into compliant wooden blocks and boards. After all, it was rely a simple educational video, not strict enough to demand anyone carve boards with bare hands. Ultimately, this was a colonization starship’s education; expecting settlers to survive without onboard wood processing would be a bit much.

"So that’s it, educating through entertainnt in dreams..."

Watching this scene, Ian couldn’t help but feel a familiar sense: "Isn’t this just like my X world? Just with better graphics and more exquisite materials! I suspect at least those models were constructed by the learners themselves following templates!"

"Each night upon entry, learners initially indulge, then learn... So levels are relatively calm, while others are more brutal..."

The so-called brutal ones involve the combat courses with extraterrestrial creatures, also known as magical beasts.

The courses arranged by the ship’s main brain include choices of firearms and exoskeletons, which the Far Shore Islanders generally know how to use. However, the hordes of magical beasts they faced were mainly Second and Third Power Levels, requiring teams and heavy firepower to handle. For so reason, they all faced these alone, having to take on the teaching alone.

Ian thought that the learners were probably screened by Azure Star through a backdoor, hence there was no team composition, leaving individuals to tackle the teachings alone. Consequently, magical beasts, typically requiring teamwork to defeat, turned into relentless annihilators of learners, ending in a form of masochistic self-abuse.

Unless one was also a Sublimator in reality, it was virtually impossible to pass this combat test.

No wonder most people previously lanted that they were fortunate there was only one combat class... for if there were two, they would continuously have to relive the sensation of being torn and chewed.

"This virtual simulation learning machine... is evidently malfunctioning sohow."

Observing this scene, Ian couldn’t help but murmur: "But at its core, you can really learn and freeload a bit..."
