Capítulo 1971: Chapter 13: Fiery Fla Land’s Last Chance
Fiery Fla Land, officially known as the Thirteen Nations Alliance, is roughly divided into two alliances led by the Nemasis Bloodline and the Abassalom Bloodline. According to ancient customs, the locations of Fifth Energy Level are referred to as the Royal Court.
Upper Fiery Fla Land is governed by the Nemasis Bloodline, comprising Yuguang, Qinglin, Tengsha, Kongyu, Canqiu, and Gray Ridge, while Lower Fla Domain is ruled by the Abassalom Bloodline, consisting of Desolate Sea, Heavenly Flood, Clear Thunder, Prolonged War, Gale Lie Feng, Fla Abyss Territory, and Jiyi. The Sha’ersa River serves as the boundary between the two, as they have long jointly governed this realm.
This generation’s Fifth Energy Level strongn from the Fiery Fla Land include Pupationer Savaga Nemasas from Tengsha Land and Ashen King Dastiel Abasalom from the Fla Abyss Territory.
Their relationship can’t be said to be bad. In their younger days, they often brawled fiercely, with so minor conflicts.
Yet despite these minor conflicts, the two have recently been troubled by the sa issue.
It’s the ‘Opinion Offensive’ from the Silverpeak Domain.
Opinion Offensive—a term that appeared long ago, was originally most important for preventing intervention by the Four Great Orthodox Churches and inspiring local morale to avoid troubleso governance.
If there’s no need for inheritance, no need to care for descendants, and no need to consider family, Sublimators have almost no demands from ordinary people. But since the sublimator families are prevalent in this world, countries and social structures still exist, so controlling public opinion is a manageable issue that rulers need to pay attention to.
However, in this era after the Perpetual Engine Declaration, everything has changed.
The power of public opinion has grown stronger, and sociology has beco more crucial, yet many sublimator ruling groups have failed to recognize this… much like Fiery Fla Land confronting the endless propaganda offensive from Silverpeak Domain, their feeble dia can’t cope with it.
In the past, if you couldn’t win, you couldn’t win—you could go silent over the whole field, wait for so ti until the topic passed, and then continue—but now, it’s not so simple for officials of each country to stifle the dia’s voice, which previously required re threats of silencing or concerns for future descendants were enough.
Now, people can pack their bags and apply for political asylum… Are you daring enough to kill soone?
If soone is murdered, their soul could be revived later by the Perpetual Motion Machine when it reverses space-ti, or the news can be publicized widely. Do you still want votes?
Moreover, past silence only deceives oneself; the anger and disappointnt of the people rely fades but does not disappear. Now, when it cos to voting, deceiving oneself is really just self-deception.
In theory, regardless of what Silverpeak Domain’s public opinion says, the Fiery Fla Land side should calm down, respond silently, resolve the issue itself, and then strive to reverse public opinion—after all, everyone is willing to believe in the Fiery Fla Land.
But in reality, Silverpeak Domain’s dia war is far more complicated.
The first to speak out are those who have visited Silverpeak Domain due to work, tourism, or visiting friends and relatives. Upon returning to Fiery Fla Land, they express admiration for Silverpeak’s cleanliness and civility, its safety—where there are no thieves or robbers, elegant music fills the streets, free food and drinks are available, and friendly Silverpeak locals warmly welco guests.
These remarks are then precisely captured by relevant dia, expanded upon, and subsequently trigger ‘questions’ about certain local practices in Fiery Fla Land.
—Why do we still have so many thieves here?
—Why don’t we have convenient public transportation yet?
—Why hasn’t our road infrastructure changed in decades, remaining so outdated and dirty?
—Why are our inspectors so unreasonable, impatient, and full of intimidation?
These are real issues that have long plagued the people of Fiery Fla Land.
The local dia borrows Silverpeak Domain’s current circumstances to question so inherent problems within Fiery Fla Land—a completely normal operation—the only problem lies in the intensity of this propaganda push, clearly supported by other forces behind it.
However, this kind of attack and questioning has now saturated the relations between nations. Fiery Fla Land, incapable of resolving it, even knowing soone is promoting it massively behind the scenes, can only swallow their anger.
After all, they can’t break down and get angry, can they? Breaking down would be laughable.
—Fiery Fla Land officials have broken down; they are perpetually enraged by their own dostic dia’s statents!
—Why is that? Did the dia report false news or misleading reports?
—No, they simply repeated what has been done in the past.
To avoid becoming the joke from incompetence, Fiery Fla Land’s opinion departnts are unable to retaliate.
This is why the Ashen King has gathered many ministers to hold a eting.
But until the end, the Ashen King did not hear any valuable suggestions from his ministers.
As for retaliation? What a joke, he neither studied journalism nor sociology—how could he know how to counter such a lightweight offensive that hardly has substance?
To avoid being seen as overreacting, the Ashen King can only endure patiently, awaiting the Fiery Fla Land’s own reforms to satisfy the people.
If Fiery Fla Land’s reforms can proceed smoothly, resolving these lingering issues from centuries past, then the local citizens of Fiery Fla Land are still willing to believe in them.
