In just three months, the video sharing network in the Silverpeak Domain went live.
The fishern of Whale Song Cliff, the chefs of the Silverpeak Domain. The shaman rituals of the Nine Cold Quiet Mountains, the daily lives of Gantreignum’s craftsn...
The more unsatisfactory one’s life is, the more they are provoked by others’ lives.
The more potential people one knows, the angrier one is about their current existence.
And precisely because they knew of others’ fortunes, the calls for reform within the governnt by the People of the Fiery Fla Land grew increasingly loud and swift.
By this stage, the Fiery Fla Land authorities, who had been making steady improvents, were completely overwheld by negative reviews and criticism—and they had no words in their defense, for just a few years ago, they were indeed the ’old era governnt’ that ignored the people’s voices, suppressed movents, conducted human experints openly, and bought lives in poor regions.
On the battlefield of public opinion, the Fiery Fla Land was utterly defeated.
But in reality, for Ian’s past life, such an opinion offensive was just basic maneuvers; many major moves had yet to be used.
Even so, this basic maneuver was enough to make the Fiery Fla Land of this era on Terra fall all over the place.
"No way, if this continues, when the Duke of Silverpeak cos to raise his arm and shout, at least half of our people will turn to him!"
Astute officials quickly noticed the recent surge in the number of immigrants, while the number of dissatisfied citizens also increased—many strongly demanded that Silverpeak Domain open tax-free grain imports, but if this demand were t, the Fiery Fla Land, at least the Abassalom bloodline, would truly lose its independence.
When all the grain is controlled by others, might as well rena the Fiery Fla Land as an affiliate under the Yinfeng Grand Duchy, Abassalom Province. Ian Silverpeak could also gain a few more titles, making the roll call a dozen seconds longer.
At this point, even knowing it’s a bad choice, they have no option but to proceed.
To counter the increasingly strong Silverpeak Domain, the Fiery Fla Land could only revert to topics like ’historical conflict’ and ’war hatred.’
So Fiery Fla Land dia, with support, began to extensively publicize the biological wars of the Empire back in the day, and the damages caused by various special operations, urging people to rember historical conflicts and not to forget the distinction between friend and foe.
But this rhetoric, useful against the Empire’s faction, was sowhat off-target against the Silverpeak Domain.
The Yinfeng Leading Council expressed great disappointnt at the Fiery Fla Land’s hostile propaganda. They stated that all was a historical legacy issue; the Empire of the ti of the war no longer exists. The Imperial Emperor Aksel has since abdicated, and the Yinfeng Grand Duchy’s predecessor, Nanling Province, never initiated attacks against the Fiery Fla Land. On the contrary, it was the victim of Fiery Fla Land’s attacks.
They did not bring up the grain disasters and the various biological war residual resentnts caused by Fiery Fla Land’s past attacks on Silverpeak Domain. Where does Fiery Fla Land get the nerve to bring up this topic?
On Terra, indeed Silverpeak Domain’s rationale was more justified.
By convention, a grand duchy with a Fifth Energy Level, or a small power within a major power that possesses a Fifth Energy Level, can be viewed as relatively independent. Nanling, prior to Ian’s Fifth Energy Level, was indeed part of the Empire. Being attacked during a war between two countries was normal, but after Ian reached this Fifth Energy Level, everything had to be recalculated separately.
Theoretically speaking, the Ashen King of Fiery Fla Land even had to apologize to Ian, the Silverpeak Seer, for the South Ridge’s losses!
"This is intolerable!"
At this stage, not to ntion a Fifth Energy Level, even a low-level public servant would be furious. Upon seeing the response from Silverpeak Domain on the terminal ssage, the Ashen King crushed his terminal in anger—it’s not that he had a bad temper, but as a Fifth Energy Level, when had he ever felt such indignation?
Fight back? How to fight back? Silverpeak Domain hasn’t done anything! They rely told the truth, reasoned, helped the People of the Fiery Fla Land find jobs, sold them cheap goods and grains, and incidentally pointed out their tiny actual issues!
Even flipping the news around dostically to depict all sorts of bad news about Silverpeak Domain, nobody would believe it because no power in this world is perfect. Relative to others, Silverpeak Domain was already doing excellently, especially since the first batch of kids from compulsory education had already completed their first sester, with all policies in Silverpeak Domain completed successfully and everything thriving—how to lose, how to criticize?
Resolve their issues? How to solve them? Does the wealth disparity in the Fiery Fla Land get resolved in no ti? The upward mobility in the Fiery Fla Land was actually quite good. Even ordinary people could receive training and then beco Sublimators. Various royal army corps even specified many civilian quotas without allowing the Nobles to interfere.
But all these paled in comparison to the Silverpeak Domain’s universal Arcane Pathway education.
The Ashen King was no fool. On the contrary, he was among the smartest in the world.
"I see."
Staring towards the southeast land, the defensive line of Silverpeak Domain, the man took a deep breath, calming his emotions: "This is Ian Silverpeak’s goal... Up to now, I’ve already lost."
"Your Majesty, we have not yet lost!" Hearing this, a minister stepped forth wanting to explain, but the Ashen King simply waved them away irritably: "If there were no Perpetual Motion Machine vote, winning or losing could still go either way—a vast majority of the Fiery Fla Land people lack the courage and resolution, rely because life elsewhere is good, to move their entire family and immigrate."
"As long as we slowly reform, learn from Silverpeak Domain’s thods, equally spread Arcane Pathway, strengthen the national dical system, implent universal compulsory education, then within ten years, the citizens will regain confidence in us."
"Public sentint between the two countries cannot be overshadowed so simply, too many people will evoke a sense of pride rely from the na of being of the Fiery Fla Land, the more Silverpeak Domain publicizes, the more they want to better this country."
"But—there’s just not enough ti."
The root of all lay in this, the Ashen King gradually stood up.
He was an elderly man with now white hair but eyes as red as flas. He did not appear aged, possessing even the muscle and visage from when a man is at his peak. Draped in a black robe with red trimmings, speaking in an irrefutable tone: "The Perpetual Motion Machine vote happens, at the quickest within a year and a half, the slowest within five years."
"Such ti is enough for another generation to grow up... another generation growing under Silverpeak Domain’s shadow."
"By that ti, will people look more forward to a future under Silverpeak Domain’s lead or ours? Even among those who support the most, you probably cannot make a choice against your conscience."
"Don’t forget, my devoted subjects... our true aim is the Perpetual Motion Machine."
"On this most core goal, we’ve already lost."
How could these ministers not know the Ashen King’s words?
However, having long been tightly bound with the interests of Fiery Fla Land’s kings, they had no possible chance of defecting to Silverpeak Domain’s allegiance... even knowing the loss was long determined, they must hold fast to the end.
"But, that kid from Silverpeak, still offered one last opportunity."
Lowering his head, staring at his palm, the Ashen King slowly spoke: "Or rather, he did so much just to force to take this opportunity."
"A respectable opportunity."
"An infallible Prophet... holder of the world’s finest public opinion. Haha, he’s step by step cornering , like trapping prey into a snare, forcing to use civilization’s last resort... which is ’force’!"
Saying so, the Ashen King even chuckled, clenching his fist, a formless fla burned the luxurious royal robe around him, revealing beneath it armor made of crimson and golden crystal.
"In a world that reveres the strong, the strongest, as long as I can propose a sufficiently feasible future, and defeat that Silverpeak Seer, I can turn the tables!"
"This is the last chance he left for ."
