Now reading: Chapter 304 - 304 287 Aether Crystal Dragon 13 from Above The Sky, a Fantasy novel by Gloomy Sky Hidden God.

304: Chapter 287: Aether Crystal Dragon (1/3) 304: Chapter 287: Aether Crystal Dragon (1/3) Clearly, the Brain-Devouring Matriarch’s crystalline exoskeleton had a myriad of connections with the Crystal Dragon lineage—perhaps the Frost-Seduction Moth in the Ruins of Ice Abyss also had so link with the Brain-Eating Parasites?

The internal conflict at the Redwood Base that year, the confrontation between the five Elders and The Great Elder, was definitely not just a brutal fight within the brain-eating bug’s Spirit Energy Network, but there must also have been a struggle for control over the important facilities inside the ruins and various artificial Origin Quality biological controls.

In summary, the battle between dragons and bugs had persisted for who knows how many years, and it was still ongoing to this day.

And this long-standing war was precisely Ian and his companions’ opportunity.

Without a doubt, the Crystal Dragon had already noticed its egg had been stolen, and it should be tracking it; it probably wouldn’t be long before it arrived here.

anwhile, the Giant Golden Centipede and a host of Parasitic Beasts were entangled with the people of Fiery Fla Land, and even if the Crystal Dragon failed to advance, but with its First Power Level Peak strength, it should be able to hold up the Matriarch for so ti.

“At that ti, whether we take the opportunity to ambush the matriarch or destroy the worm nest, it will be a good chance,” one of them said.

With that, the three of them continued to lie low on the other side of the crevasse, waiting in silence.

Boom!

As expected, after a while, even the rhythm of the fighting from the Fiery Fla Land side began to slow down, a trendous energy shock was heard from the nearby river.

The violent explosion sounded on the far side, lifting a river in the air, burning the decomposing bodies of Parasitic Beasts and secretions from the Swarm into a thick, filthy fog.

But it was precisely this fog that absorbed a massive amount of energy, preventing the crevasse from collapsing.

A furious dragon’s roar echoed, the earth trembled, and a crystal cliff on the edge of the crevasse shattered, crashing onto the banks of the River of Parasites and splashing up a sky full of Blue Mist.

The Brain-Devouring Matriarch also noticed this, standing tall and immobile, but its body began to rapidly transform.

The creature extended multiple tendrils from its tough exoskeleton; its original blue crystal shell also shifted hues, turning into a radiant green resembling radiation—if its previous form was like that of a snail in defense mode, then now it was like a starfish in battle mode.

With clearly visible radiation-like green flas, the Matriarch was like a walking inferno, but another dragon’s chant ca from the distance!

This Dragon’s Chant was lodious and resounding, like a violently vibrating sheet of iron.

After the clear ringing sound, there was a long-lasting reverberation, the humming vibrations causing many Parasitic Beasts around to fall into agony, so even collapsing to the ground outright.

Hum!

A deep and powerful electromagnetic hum rose, and even the three in hiding sensed an indescribable electromagnetic wave spreading from afar.

Suddenly, they felt their bodies shudder, their hearts racing, with slight stinging pains in their brains and nerves.

“This aura, it really hasn’t advanced successfully?!” Master Gossay’s expression changed.

The might of this Crystal Dragon was obvious, and the dragon’s chant contained so strong electromagnetic waves: “To think it has Dragon Might, but isn’t that a power that only appears at the Third Power Level?”

Of course, it wasn’t Dragon Might; as Ian erged from a mont of dizziness and headache, he suddenly recalled the massive Spirit Energy Field impact he had experienced when he first entered the ruins—a similar feeling to now, with his mind in a haze, even fainting for a while.

“This is a physical psychic shock that can directly interfere with the brain’s microcurrents!” Ian realized: “Is this the truth behind Dragon Might?

No, this should be an effect of the Spirit Energy Field inherent to powerful Magical Beasts!”

“But it’s only at the First Power Level, why does it possess characteristics unique to Magical Beasts of the Third Energy Level?!”

Even for a Totem Master, it was only through the unique techniques of the Natives that one could wield the ability to control the surrounding Spirit Energy Field at the peak of the Second Energy Level; ordinary Magical Beasts, let alone High-Level Magical Beasts, could not possibly advance too far ahead, not to ntion by two energy levels!

“This is not the Deep Sea Crystal Dragon, this is a completely new species, retreat quickly!”

Master Gossay had, after all, seen a wide variety of creatures, and as soon as he realized sothing was wrong, he imdiately demanded that the position be retreated—Ian and Yisen Gard were by no ans fools and retreated at the first opportunity.

This was a wise decision because in the next instant, a violent ferocity erupted like a volcano, as if it could burn mountains and boil seas, turning the surrounding heavens and earth into a fire hell, charging down from the other side of the rift with an unparalleled oppressive force!

For a mont, all the Parasitic Beasts around the Worm Nest let out agonized howls.

They had only co to drag the body of the Gargantuan Eel and the Dragon Egg, and their strength was not formidable.

Naturally, they couldn’t withstand the blistering heat that rapidly rose to the temperature near that of the volcano’s surroundings.

But as the Brain-Devouring Matriarch’s body flickered with a glowing green light, a shield lit up around these Parasitic Beasts, shielding them from the heat, and it directly controlled their minds to hasten dragging the Dragon Egg toward the Worm Nest.

At the sa ti, the radiant luminescence around the matriarch grew even brighter and even condensed into a layer of visible ‘fla’ burning fiercely, enveloping its entire body.

It surged forward, eting head-on with another huge silhouette that was roaring toward it like a high-speed locomotive!

Boom!!!

The collision between the matriarch and the Crystal Dragon was so formidable and grand that it wiped out the previous high-temperature poisonous miasma and flas, revealing both combatants’ True Forms.

It was a Crystal Dragon that radiated a glowing blue color all over, but it was drastically different from ordinary Crystal Dragons.

It lacked the usual forelimbs and sharp horns of common Crystal Dragons; instead, at the front of its head were a dozen pairs of ‘crystalline eyes’ gleaming with a blinding white light.

From these crystalline pupils exuded visible pale particles, indicating extrely high purity of Origin Quality light.

This Crystal Dragon’s body was actually transparent, and the glowing blue light was its internally circulating Origin Quality light.

In the front half of the dragon’s body was a structure akin to a brightly luminous vortex of light, and around this spiraling crystalline structure were layers of fin-like wings and a chest shell that was securely protective, emitting an ominously glowing light.

But the Brain-Devouring Matriarch, which was also flickering with dazzling radiant light, stretched out its five tentacles and firmly wrapped them around the body of the colossal Crystal Dragon.

The two fiercely entangled, causing the earth to tremor, and the entire rift to vigorously shake and collapse, with the radiant flas and flas of Origin Quality burning vigorously.

In an instant, the area was completely engulfed by intense light and dust.

“What on earth is this monster, with such a huge amount of Origin Quality yet not at the Second Energy Level?!”

The area where Ian and the others had been was also affected, and the place where they had been standing had collapsed and plunged into the River of Parasites, causing large waves to splash.

Master Gossay, while retreating, caught a glimpse of the full appearance of the Crystal Dragon and gasped in astonishnt, “Aside from the crystal shell, it has none of the characteristics of any Crystal Dragons we have ever seen…

What kind of different species is this?!”

—This is a Crystal Dragon.

On the other side, Ian’s eyes flashed with silver light, and within his chest, the Ancient Dragon Heart Core throbbed violently as if it were an actual heart.

Sensing the terrifying might of the colossal beast roaring and struggling in the distance, he couldn’t help but inhale sharply, “What the heck?”

“Aether Crystal Dragon?!”
