372: Chapter 344: Iron Armor Shark!
(2/3) 372: Chapter 344: Iron Armor Shark!
(2/3) Shasha could not go onto the island, but it could build a nest at the very bottom level of the island.
It picked up the scattered crystals around and piled them up into a nest that resembled a cave, where it usually lay and rested, adapting to the frequency of the surrounding Spirit Energy Field.
However, today Ian sought it, not for it to sleep.
“Look, Shasha!”
“Wooooo!!!!”
He took out the ‘Aurora Titan – Caller of Thunder’ Magic Potion and showed it to Shasha, instantly making Shasha’s eyes pop out, expressing a ‘Can I really have this?!’ look.
Its innate bloodline instinct let it sense that although this was only a First Energy Level Magic Potion, it could forge the strongest foundation for Shasha to ascend to the Second Energy Level!
Slap slap slap slap—Shasha began to vigorously slap the water with its tail while the front half of its body obediently stayed in front of Ian, motionless.
“Here you go, here you go,” Ian chuckled and tossed the bottle containing the Magic Potion to Shasha.
Without hesitation, Shasha bit it in one gulp.
re glass would not affect the digestion of an Ironclad Shark—it was capable of digesting rocks and tal, treating crystals as snacks!
Then, it just gulped down and sank to the bottom of the water, motionless.
Ian stared intently at the creature.
Blue light swirled in his eyes.
“Deep purple with blue…
looks like it really was the right choice,” he muttered to himself.
“Just not sure what the exact result will be.
Just a few breaths after Shasha swallowed the Magic Potion.
Suddenly, several streaks of electricity began to flash around its body.
Seeing these electrical currents, Ian’s heart, which had been tense, finally settled down.
Because these currents were the proof that Shasha was starting to undergo the transformation of its Origin Quality via the Magic Potion!
Streaks of silver electricity spread out in all directions with Shasha’s body as the core.
The twinkling lights even made it look like a small bulb had been installed on the bottom of Crystal Lake, flickering on and off.
Since he was not the one taking the Magic Potion, Ian wasn’t quite sure how Shasha operated exactly.
Even with the observation through the Silver Chip, he could only get a rather vague set of data.

“Looks pretty normal.”
After observing Shasha for a while, Ian had planned to use its evolution as an observational example for his own advancent to the Second Energy Level, but he now found that there wasn’t much to observe.
All the changes were taking place at the most fundantal level of the body, occurring within the cells or even deeper in the genetic realm.
Setting aside the gold and silver solution, in anticipation of supplenting nutrients for Shasha after its breakthrough to the Second Energy Level, Ian looked around the entire Crystal Cave.
He hadn’t looked carefully during his last visit, but now with a detailed inspection, he indeed found quite a few new discoveries.
The Spirit Energy Field in the Crystal Cave did not have any attributes.
To be precise, there are no attributes surrounding Crystal Island—it gathers Spirit Energy that is extrely pure, allowing any life form to try to sense and absorb it.
Generation after generation, Crystal Dragons have used their own bodies to shape such an island, providing a ladder for their descendants to reach higher levels.
However, around Crystal Island, there are extrely rich and varied energy fields.
At the lake’s edge, the soil accumulated from all sorts of carcasses creates an Earth Attribute Spirit Energy Field.
The lake water itself is of the Water Attribute.
And near the entrance and exit, where the wind blows in, there flows a strong Wind Attribute Origin Quality.
The hottest area near the bottom layer of the lake water, likely close to a cooling pipe, is of the Fire Attribute.
In a way, it is precisely because all the major attributes are present that at the center of Crystal Lake, a field of Attributeless Origin Quality exists.
“This place is really great for cultivation,”
Ian nodded slightly as he observed the Dragon Egg upon arriving at Crystal Island.
Crystal Dragons have no gender, or rather, they can freely choose their own gender.
After tamorphosing from a fledgling to the First Energy Level, also known as the first shedding, this creature gains reproductive ability and can lay eggs asexually.
During egg-laying, it selects the dominant traits from within its body and stores enough energy in the eggs for the offspring to adapt to the environnt, making them not only stronger but also more adaptable to their surroundings.
The question arises—what developntal strategy would a Crystal Dragon egg, a species that develops based on environntal influences, choose in a high-density Attributeless Spirit Energy Field?
“No wonder it’s an Aether Crystal Dragon…”
After realizing the harmonious and robust growth relationship between the Dragon Egg and the surrounding Spirit Energy Field, Ian mused, “It seems that Aether Crystal Dragons can only be successfully nurtured in such an environnt.
Any special Spirit Energy would lead to a developntal error in a Crystal Dragon.”
In the dream of the Worm Nest, three Crystal Dragon Eggs were left behind, but two of them had weakened life forces and could not hatch successfully, while the Worm Nest-transford self had used so thod to rge the three Crystal Dragons into one Three-Headed Crystal Dragon.
This was clearly an abnormal situation.
And Ian felt that this healthy Dragon Egg had a high probability of developing into a new generation of Aether Crystal Dragons.
As for the other two sowhat weaker Dragon Eggs…
it was perhaps best that Master Gossay took them away.
Otherwise, a supplent without a sufficient foundation, placed in such a Spirit Energy Field, was very likely not even to hatch into a normal Crystal Dragon and would die prematurely.
At the sa ti, Shasha’s tamorphosis had reached a critical mont.
Ian turned his head to look at Shasha.
The tallic giant shark had slowed its electric discharges all over its body, but conversely, its dorsal fin began to turn white suddenly.
Upon close inspection, the boy noticed that the originally tallic dorsal fin was wrapped in a semi-transparent crystal shell that was conducting electricity and emitting a strong light.
“Huh.”
Ian closed his eyes to observe with Foresight View, and in the next instant, a light brighter than lightning and capable of illuminating the entire Crystal Cave burst forth from Shasha’s dorsal fin—this was more intense than a flash grenade; real lightning probably wasn’t as astonishing.
Shasha flicked its tail, and the youth noticed that there were electric currents surging all over its body, enhancing its mobility, and a layer of miniature electric arcs had ford on its skin.
Any contact or collision would channel the electricity into an enemy’s body, causing paralysis.
This was the enhancent brought about by the Summoner of Thunder Magic Potion, the ability to manipulate electricity and light.
This was only the beginning.
With extended training, a Summoner of Thunder could literally call down thunder to strike wherever the Sublimator wanted.
Of course, there needed to be thunderclouds in the sky for that.
Without thunderclouds, although it was still possible to stimulate electrical currents, the effect was actually better when used to enhance oneself.
But this is not the main point.
The real key lies in the fact that Shark has advanced to the Second Energy Level, evolving from an ‘Ironclad Shark’ to a ‘Steel Armored Shark’!
