482: Chapter 452: The Emissary of Peaceful Village 482: Chapter 452: The Emissary of Peaceful Village The na Hua’an originated from her birthplace.

The place where her spirit was born was a birch forest.

It was dusk when she ca into being, the white birches with black spots stood tall in the setting sun, their shadows stretching longer with the light, and it was during this transition from day to night that the Spirit Energy Field shifted, nurturing Hua’an’s spirit from the natural world.

The reason why her last na is Gansong is that the Fairy who helped her with Enlightennt and shaping was nad Gansong.

Similarly, this Fairy nad Gansong·Frozen Fish was also born in a land abundant with wild savory vegetables, hence her na Gansong·Frozen Fish.

And as for why this Fairy’s surna is Frozen Fish… there’s no need to explain that.

After all, the tradition of Fairy nas and surnas follows this principle: the surna inherits from the Shaper of this life, while the given na reflects one’s own characteristics.

There aren’t many Fairy Shapers, so several large clans have branched out from them, of which the Gansong clan in Peaceful Village is quite a significant one.

Using the last na tends to be more formal and can also represent which clan one belongs to, but it might result in several (or even a large group) of Fairies looking up when called, while using the given na…

With bad luck, there could still be a large group of Fairies looking up in response.

Such is the culture of naming, which leads to so rather unfortunate consequences.

So nas may seem artistically inclined, while others… appear a bit more eccentric.

Moreover, they don’t understand the difference between Frozen Fish, Gansong, and Hua’an—aren’t all these nas a combination of a certain feeling and an object?

Frozen fish, fragrant savory vegetables, the dusky hues of birch…

so simple and straightforward, yet highlighting one’s individuality.

“Frost Butterfly must have been born sowhere with lots of butterflies, right?”

On the way, Hua’an curiously asked Ian, “A place with lots of butterflies and very cold… The Icewind Fortress clusters in the northeastern region of the Setar Empire co to mind.

The butterflies there are quite large and can even be ridden for flight; it’s a lot of fun.”

“Ah.

Yeah, is that so?

They’re that big, huh.”

Ian imdiately kept up with Hua’an’s seemingly slow but surprisingly fast pace—Fairies’ flight features a capricious zigzagging, swaying to the left then to the right, completely disregarding inertia and often flying in curves.

Despite this, her speed still outpaced a galloping horse, and her soft voice, carried on the wind, was elusive, nearly impossible for an ordinary person to discern clearly.

The first image that ca to his mind was of a Fairy Miss riding a giant butterfly, unexpectedly aesthetic and fitting.

Yet when it ca to the na Frost Butterfly, the boy couldn’t help but fall silent.

Frost-Seduction Moth… that could still be considered a butterfly, couldn’t it?

Ian recalled the gigantic moths that parasitized the Ape Beasts in the South Sea Great Labyrinth, and the Fairy communities that fought these moths.

He hesitated slightly and nodded uncertainly, speaking with uncharacteristic lack of confidence, “Indeed… I rember there being many large butterflies… or should I say, moths.”

“I knew it!”

Hua’an seed especially delighted, her wings vibrating rapidly as her Cold Light Diamond crafted crystal wings instantly accelerated her to subsonic speeds; her figure even becoming misty due to the sudden acceleration-induced water vapor: “I wonder if there’s any kind-hearted butterfly willing to let ride—I also really appreciate your Humans’ Knight culture and have bought plenty of novels to read!”

—Perhaps this was what they ant by ‘joy blurring reality’?

“Quite an unexpected hobby.” Ian firstly marveled at the Fairy’s absurd speed and physical capabilities, then he looked around in slight confusion, “Are we already back in the Golden Prairie?”

“Yes.”

Ian now carried two boxes filled with Alchemy Materials, with the Cal Beast left back at the inn.

He had followed Hua’an all the way to a hillock in the Golden Prairie, where there was a dense row of woods and a stream that flowed by the edge of the forest, gathering into a small pond in the center of the woods.

This place was likely a temporary resting spot for Adventurers and rchant caravans from nearby towns, marked by nurous signs of campgrounds and outdoor lodging, with Hua’an being one of the recent campers.

For a Fairy, a luxurious tent large enough for a person was set up amidst the tree canopy, neighboring an empty bird’s nest.

“Look, the Spirit Energy Field here is quite mild, less prone to errors during operation, and it’s infused with elents of the Water Series, which fits the needs of Frost Butterfly,” Hua’an said, pointing with her umbrella towards the central pond in the middle of the woods, her face bright with a cheerful smile.

“I’m going to prepare the tools now, Ian.

Get ready with Frost Butterfly!”

“Thank you so much for your assistance…”

Gleams of light appeared in Ian’s eyes as he observed the surrounding Spirit Energy Field, realizing that Hua’an was indeed correct—the surrounding Spirit Energy Field of the Bart Great Rift Valley was highly volatile due to the Ground Hurricane Cloud Pillars, but this small grove was surprisingly stable, and the central pond was clear and pure, with water-attributed Natural Spirit Energy converging.

The pond was well preserved, and it was clear that the travelers who knew of this place were quite conscientious.

Beneath the transparent water were shallow yellow sand and pebbles, reflecting the sun’s brilliance above.

Scattered around the pond’s edge were so cobblestones, likely brought here from a nearby stream.

Miss Hua’an returned to her luxurious tent, and Ian released the Frost Butterfly; he tapped the little creature’s icy head with his finger, his tone filled with emotion, “I really didn’t expect you to be so lucky; I was just getting ready to help you advance when a kind Fairy Miss offered to help…”

Speaking of this, he suddenly paused.

Ian frowned slightly, thinking to himself, “Is it really just a coincidence?

While Fae aren’t unusual, South Ridge isn’t exactly a common resting place for them…”

The young man reflected on all the recent events he had been through, from Anfa to Yingguang, from the Dragon Worship Cult to the things associated with Marquis Barton, and from Canaan Moore and Fiery Fla Land, to the Spirit Wisdom Institute and the mysterious organization associated with the Magnetic Light Knights.

He went through every event and person one by one.

Although many things appeared to be coincidences, they were actually intricately linked with the actions of various factions…

Was Miss Hua’an’s appearance also such an indication?

“Miss Hua’an.”

As Ian was contemplating this, he spoke up, inquiring of the Fairy Miss who was still organizing things inside the tent, “Please forgive my presumption, but I still feel sowhat uneasy—both Frost Butterfly and I are very grateful for your help, but won’t this interfere with your original plans?”

“And, I an, we didn’t know each other before…”

“Haha, I know what you’re worried about, but don’t be,” ca Miss Hua’an’s sowhat blurred laughter from inside the tent.

Her voice was like the tinkling of spring water, carrying a unique rhythmic beauty, “It’s very rare to find a ‘healthy and complete’ human-turned-fairy like you, and even rarer to have one with an Original Fairy companion.”

“Since I happened to encounter this, of course I had to lend a hand; it will be a great talking point when I get back to share with friends!”

“Talking point…?” Ian mused.

The term “human-turned-fairy” referred to Humans who beca Fae by taking Magical Potions.

Naturally, they would not be missing limbs or be unhealthy or incomplete.

What is considered ‘incomplete’ to a Fae usually ans that the various organs necessary for a Fae are not circulating well, or are underdeveloped.

Strictly speaking, they are not truly of the Fairy Bloodline, but rather they use the power of the Fairy Bloodline as a tool to serve themselves as re users of the tool—they do not allow their life essence to sublimate towards developing into true Fae.

But this is a necessary compromise.

After all, humans who have transford into Fae cannot possibly use such plentiful and rare Sublimation Materials to build their bodies nor can they instantly possess a soul as pure and natural as that of true Fae.

Not to ntion, true fairies are so small, transforming themselves from human size to beco smaller is extrely difficult, whereas becoming larger is easier.

Thus, many human-turned-fae use the strong affinity that Fae Bloodline has for Origin Quality and the Natural Spiritual Energy Field to wield incredibly powerful Sublimation Skills that go beyond the regular Power Level limits, becoming sothing like ‘siege artillerists’ or ‘war mages’.

Of course, this is fine, but to a normal Fairy, this is undoubtedly considered unhealthy.

Ian, however, did not choose to specialize in destructive power.

On the contrary, he even added new Sublimation Organs to himself, intertwining his Origin Essence Cycle with the Spirit Energy, achieving the ‘soul’ aspect of the Domain of Extres.

This might mirror the natural developnt of True Fairies, perhaps even doing it better.

That’s why initially, Miss Hua’an didn’t realize he was actually a human who had taken a Magic Potion, and found him unexpectedly approachable.

“Besides, you don’t have to worry about my mission.”

A clear voice ca from the tent, and the black-haired Fairy Miss, holding an Alchemy bottle almost as big as she was, flew out steadily, hovering in front of Ian, “I am an Emissary from ‘Peaceful Village,’ and I ca to South Ridge because I heard that a Great Labyrinth appeared around Harrison Port, and within it, there was even an aura of Original Fairies.”

“I sensed it from afar, that both you and the Frost Butterfly have an ancient aura on you…

Heh heh, that’s the essence of the South Sea Great Labyrinth, isn’t it?

My guess is you both co from there!”

“One obtained Fairy Materials from the Great Labyrinth, and the other is an Original Fairy of the Great Labyrinth!”

With golden light flickering in her eyes, the Fairy Miss assessed Ian and the Frost Butterfly, smiling confidently, “It’s lucky for to have encountered you this ti, just to ask about the situation!”

“Here!”

With that, Hua’an tossed the Alchemy bottle to Ian, “See if it’s suitable.”

“This is the ‘Awakening Potion’ that’s to be used to shape and awaken the Frost Butterfly.”
