The Soul Plunder ability of the Deceased Monarch essentially targeted the souls of its ‘subjects’ who acknowledged its consensus.
After a person died, it collected those Artificial Souls within itself, forming various structures as part of its ability.
This Soul Plunder ability evolved over ti and, in the future on the Spirit Disaster Path during the Terra Spirit Gods era, evolved into the ‘Guiding Ability’.
Back then, no matter where the deceased were in Terra, and no matter the cause of death, as long as they had made a contract with a Deceased Monarch during their lifeti, or in other words, had faith in a Spirit God, their souls would be protected by that Spirit God’s power after death and delivered into the God Core of the Spirit God.
However, those who were not believers, who had no such consensus, and who had not molded their souls on the Spirit Disaster Path, had souls that presented as irregular in their natural state and thus could not join any Spirit God’s ‘Divine Kingdom’.
They could only drift in the Domain of Void and nature, waiting to dissipate naturally.
Back then, people often angrily accused the gods of not providing protection to the souls of the faithless, as the gods simply watched them dissipate with indifference…
Honestly, this was purely a technical issue.
Not to ntion that for countless years in the past, the souls of Humans simply dissipated this way.
In the Era of the Gods, choosing to follow the consensus of a Spirit God, which is to say having faith in that Spirit God, would gradually transform one’s soul into a shape consistent with the Spirit God.
In doing so, one could join the collective of the other after death and be integrated into the Divine Kingdom structure that would not dissipate.
This was a hard requirent.
It’s like a puzzle—if the shapes don’t match up, can you force them together?
The souls of the faithless had no definite shape and could not match the structure of any Spirit God—keep in mind that due to similar reasons of consensus among the Spirit Gods, it was actually possible for believers to temporarily preserve each other for a while and wait for the right ti to facilitate the transfer.
This was also one of the reasons why many Demigods and major God lineages ca to form in the future Spirit Gods era.
By the way, a firm desire to build a better future and lead the citizens to a better life is also a belief, and even a resolute rejection of the existence of gods, thinking that the Era of the Gods was a mistake, is in itself a consensus.
There were many Spirit Gods eager to acquire such souls.
In the future of the Spirit Disaster Path, the souls of the Terra People had beco standardized.
Just by looking at the shape of the Spiritual Body in the Domain of Void, one could tell whose believers they were or which consensus they acknowledged.
There were basically no ‘ownerless Spirit Substance aggregations’ like what Ian was seeing.
But now, everyone, even Ian’s soul, resembled this spherical form.
And the brand-new ability of the Silver Chip…
“This is the first ti I’ve encountered ownerless Origin Quality.”
Ian mused thoughtfully, “Perhaps, it always had this kind of power?
Is it just that I never triggered it before, and that’s why it’s only manifesting now?”
This wasn’t impossible, but it wasn’t important either.
The two ‘Calculation Units’ and ‘Supply Units’ that appeared in front of Ian ford a triangular structure.
They linked up, creating the simplest ‘Auxiliary Computing Module’, which helped Ian accelerate the calculation of various problems.
Because it ca with a Supply Unit, this module did not even require Ian to expend effort to maintain it on a regular basis.
He just needed to occasionally find so Spirit Energy materials to recharge it.
“My calculation speed…
Well, although it’s not comparable to my main control terminal from back in the day, it at least has the computing power of an average high-end smart host and can accommodate a basic Artificial Intelligence.”
Ian imdiately began to study it with great enthusiasm.
The Calculation Unit transford from the Silver Chip was essentially a pure Spirit Substance calculation structure, very intricate and complex, demanding high quality of Spirit Energy.
The Second Energy Level was the bare minimum requirent.
Even so, among the three Second Tier Powerhouses Ian had killed, one had a soul quality that didn’t et the criteria and could only serve as the energy-supplying Supply Unit.
Its computing power, as compared to that of the Second Level Sublimators used as raw material, was actually very low.
After all, those were two Second Level Sublimators!
Combined to form just a high-end smart host?
Ian suspected that the Setar Empire could have long since mass-produced similar computing power hosts; otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to develop their own battle Artificial Intelligences.
In terms of pure computing power, apart from being able to assist Ian’s brain to accelerate directly in the spirit state, it had no advantages.
But Ian noticed that this Calculation Unit ca with its own set of logical computational thods…
In other words, its algorithms were extrely advanced and could handle many problems that could cause ordinary smart hosts to crash—at least, it wouldn’t confuse friends and foes like the battle AI of the Setar Empire.
Moreover, Ian discovered that this Calculation Unit seed to be able to enter the physical world.
As long as a ordinary Spirit Energy environnt was created in the physical world, the structure of the Calculation Unit transford by the Silver Chip, which was very stable, could exist for a long ti.
And with a Supply Unit providing energy, it could even serve as an extrely useful mobile computing power device.
The problem was…
if it was Earth, such a portable high-end computing device might have many uses, but in Terra, what could utilize its computing power?
