927: Chapter 75: The Key to the Underworld’s Gate (7100) 927: Chapter 75: The Key to the Underworld’s Gate (7100) A beam of sunlight, piercing through the cracks of the rocks, fell upon the newly excavated nest inside the mountain belly.

The newly built Dragon Nest was sowhat rough, with a huge amount of dust swirling inside it due to the wind, even forming a tiny foggy vortex at the entrance.

The sunlight shone through this dust storm, illuminating the belly of a True Dragon lying supine in its own nest—the wind in the cave was its breath, which, in the act of inhaling and exhaling, naturally generated a tornado.

It was vaguely recognizable that the skin and nearly translucent scales of this True Dragon did not possess the toughness usually found amongst its kin, but instead carried a hint of newborn tenderness.

But should anyone deem it as fragility, they would be severely mistaken, because there was a shallow Spirit Energy Shield flowing on the surface of those tender scales, seemingly as soft as water but in reality, tens of tis harder than steel.

True Dragon Xio was taking a post-noon nap, sleeping soundly—the task of digging out a mountain to create a nest was not a major challenge for soone of the Third Energy Level; the real difficulty lay in how to construct it beautifully, durably, and considering that It was not known for physical prowess.

Observing the mountain structure, continuously employing Spirit Energy to excavate the cavern for three days and nights, and also connecting the surrounding Natural Spirit Energy to construct a Spirit Energy Field centered around the Dragon Nest…

This workload was indeed not inferior to battling an equally powerful opponent; thus, it warranted so rest.

At the cave entrance, the King of the Mountain stood silently in front of the door.

Suppressing nearly all chanical waves in the vicinity, It made not a single sound, only occasionally sticking Its head out to check on how Xio was resting.

This was the scene Ian saw upon arriving at Solitary Fla Peak.

—It was all too familiar.

Ian couldn’t help but think of when he lived on the Moon, renting a place with his exam-preparing roommate back on Earth…

The scene and posture were nearly identical.

It was a universal concern of parents everywhere.

Upon seeing Ian, the King of the Mountain slightly shook Its head, refraining from saying much, and simply took a small box out from the scales near Its heart and handed it to Ian.

[This is a premium item I exchanged for from Dragon Island…

the best ‘Earth Pulse Source Crystal’ I could find.]

Communicating through Spirit Energy, Its gentle female voice expressed gratitude: [This is my gift to you, Ian.

You reignited the Dragon God Sacrificial Fire, allowing the ancient treasure to operate once more, and you cured Xio…

You are my eternal friend.]

“There’s no need to be so formal, Your Majesty the King of the Mountain.”

Ian just smiled, having no intention of exploiting this favor, and moreover, all of this felt naturally due to him, so gaining a Third Energy Level Magical dicine Ingredient for nothing was already a significant gain.

Not to ntion, Xio indeed was his friend, and there was no need to overthink when helping a friend.

“More than that.”

Ian glanced at Xio, who was still deep in slumber: “Even though it was my suggestion, are you really at ease to have It settled here?”

[There is no better place.]

The King of the Mountain sighed lightly: [Although I have driven away the Ironwing Dragon, my Dragon Nest has been exposed.

I need to move the nest recently, and also make a trip back to Dragon Island—after all, your territory is still under The Empire’s domain, attacking you would be no different from starting a war.]

[Furthermore, setting everything else aside, the defenses in your territory are solid and the overall developnt is thriving.

Allowing Xio to bind to such a premium territory and beco the guardian dragon… Even if just as a mascot, I think it’s a good thing.]

—What a nice way to put it, mascot.

Only a loving mother would say such a thing.

Ian mused internally; he certainly did not dare treat Xio as a mascot.

And so the King of the Mountain was going back to Dragon Island…

No wonder It had told him last ti that It would take him to Dragon Island when there was ti; there must’ve been a requirent from above.

As for the relationship between Dragon Island and the True Dragons, Ian had no idea.

Shaking his head, Ian cleared his mind.

Lately, after the purification by the Glimr Cradle System, Xio’s body had begun reactivating and was under ‘redevelopnt’—as evidenced by the new skin, it was evident that Xio’s body was recovering to the physical standards of a normal True Dragon.

The reason for Its sleep, aside from actual exhaustion, was also due to this growth.

Xio’s sleep represented It utilizing the accumulated energy within Its body for self-recovery and growth, which was a good sign.

Therefore, both the King of the Mountain and Ian had no intention of disturbing.

However, as they were discussing, Xio woke up naturally from Its sleep.

[Ian?]

Upon opening Its eyes, Xio saw the white-haired young man at Its nest’s entrance.

It stood up, just about to curiously peek why Ian would be at the entrance of Its nest, and then It saw the King of the Mountain’s head silently appearing right above Ian: [Moth…

Mother?]

It was startled, with respectful language inadvertently slipping out.

[Not even cleaning the dust inside your own nest before sleeping] the King of the Mountain started scolding as It snorted: [How can I be at ease about you living alone?

And with no sense of vigilance at all.

This ti it’s Ian and , but what if next ti it’s the Ironwing Dragon or the assault troops from Fiery Fla Land?]

[Yes, yes…]

Xio admitted with a feeling of sha.

It was indeed quite surprised when It saw Ian, having not expected at all that the Spirit Energy Sensing Circle spread throughout Its Dragon Nest would have zero reaction, which was quite improper.

But to Ian, Xio’s Spirit Energy Sensing Lines were about as noticeable as a brightly shining banana peel right in front of him, hardly sothing likely to trip him up.
