Daoist Wen, Daoist Shen, and Immortal Lu had now arrived outside the Imperial Capital. They had originally co from Despair Slope, intending first to seek out Feng Ruotong in the underworld. After joining with Feng Ruotong and other Immortals of the Heavenly Dao, they would form a group of eight Immortals to conquer Chen Shi and Lady Houtu, thus ensuring their success.
However, just as the three left Despair Slope, they received a ssage from the Heaven Listeners that Feng Ruotong and the others were near Qianyang Mountain.
They imdiately headed to Qianyang Mountain, but by the ti they arrived, Feng Ruotong had already gone to Xinxiang Imperial City, so they rushed to the outside of the Imperial Capital.
Yet the power of the Heaven Listeners could not penetrate the Imperial Capital, so the three were unaware of what had happened to Feng Ruotong after entering the city.
Daoist Wen looked up to see the towering, majestic shadows of the Divine outside the realm, all guarding the Imperial Capital, and couldn't help but praise, "What treachery, truly treacherous! Fierce and malevolent, frighteningly brutal. Brother Feng entering such a place truly demonstrates great courage and skill! If it were , without the Flask of Yin and Yang Essence, I would certainly not dare to enter rashly."
The other two gazed at these Divine, each marveling in their own way.
Shen Liujun said, "Look at this Pseudo God's Mountain and River Map; it truly is a theft of the Heaven and Earth Great Dao for personal use, refined with great skill! And that Pseudo King's Seal, it's quite formidable, on par with an Immortal Artifact!"
Lu Dingbo laughed, "But that's all there is to it. Back in the True King Era, when the True King took the Mountain and River Map to Lower Despair Slope and spoke disrespectfully to the Heavenly Venerate, wasn't he killed with a single blow? What use is the Mountain and River Map?"
Daoist Wen solemnly stated, "One must not underestimate the Pseudo King. The Pseudo King's Skull Body was the first to survive a Heavenly Tribulation and did so without undergoing Evil Transformation. Of course, we must not overestimate him either. In the True King Era, there were a few who crossed tribulations without Evil Transformation, but then underwent Evil Transformation upon reaching the Ascension Realm."
Lu Dingbo asked, "Why do you think Brother Feng and the others ventured into the Imperial Capital?"
His eyes sparkled as he smiled, "Could it be that Brother Feng also heard about the Pseudo King and Pseudo God committing atrocities, causing havoc in the world, and thus ca to exterminate them? If so, it saves us so trouble. I have great admiration for Brother Feng's abilities."
Shen Liujun, with hands clasped behind his back, calmly said, "Brother Feng was the first to enter the path, with Immortal Kou following closely behind. Daoist Wen said, "We must not be complacent. We have brought the Flask of Yin and Yang Essence this ti. Let us first reason with the Pseudo God and Pseudo King. If reasoning fails, then we shall annihilate them."
Immortals Shen and Lu nodded simultaneously, echoing, "We shall annihilate them!"

From behind the gates of the Imperial Capital, a small eunuch ran over, panting, and said, "Three Immortals, Immortal Feng invites you inside! Please follow ."

The small eunuch, known as Little Chengzi, replied, "My father castrated . Not long ago, when the world underwent Evil Transformation, everyone couldn't survive. My father castrated , sent to Eunuch Feng to beco a eunuch. But then, they said the Western Capital was destroyed, and I couldn't be a eunuch anymore. My father said it was all for nothing and asked if Eunuch Feng could take back, but Eunuch Feng said no. Later, the True King gave a job with a small monthly salary to support my family. Are you the Heavenly Dao Immortals from Despair Slope?"
Lu Dingbo nodded, "Indeed. Even if the True King gave you a position, I fear it won't last long, for soon your True King shall pass away."
Little Chengzi was puzzled, "Why?"
Lu Dingbo sneered, "Because your True King revived the Chinese Pseudo Gods, disturbing the people and ruining the nation. We of Despair Slope are determined to eradicate them to maintain the True God's lineage!"
Little Chengzi was even more puzzled, "But during the calamity, these Chinese Divine beings protected us, bringing light and warmth, dispelling Ghost Monsters, and saving countless lives. At that ti, where was Despair Slope? Why did Despair Slope not co to protect us? Now that peace has returned, you erge to claim these Divine are Pseudo Gods that must be exterminated. Where were you then?"
Lu Dingbo, blowing his beard and glaring, montarily found himself unable to argue.

Little Chengzi grew more confused, "But, during the calamity, why didn't Despair Slope awaken the True God?"
Shen Liujun was left speechless.
Little Chengzi continued, "Despair Slope clearly eradicated the Upper Realm, killed so many Heavenly Gods, using their suns and moons for sacrifice, which could have awakened the True God. But why didn't Despair Slope do so? Clearly, you could have saved innurable lives, why choose to watch them die tragically? What you've done renders the Chinese Divine unnecessary."
Daoist Wen replied, "This is the will of the Heavenly Venerate, who has deeper intentions..."
"You refuse to save people and won't let others save them, claiming they are gravely sinful."
Little Chengzi blinked, "Why do I feel that Despair Slope is the true villain?"
