"The West Bull New Continent lies on the edge of the Dark Sea, still within the sensing range of the Heavenly Court. Chen Shi honestly stated, and King Li resolutely replied, "I will imdiately mobilize the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals to bind the roots of the Mud Divine Tree! Daoist Chen, wait for a few days. Once this Divine Tree is bound, we shall leave the Dark Sea by ship together! As soon as we leave the Dark Sea, you will summon the Dao Ruins Dao Realm!"
He hurried away, and shortly thereafter, a hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals soared into the sky, gathering and tying together the roots of the Mud Divine Tree one by one.
Chen Shi looked up at this magnificent scene and exclaid, "I often reflect on the insignificance of individual strength. The Heavenly Court is truly vast, wielding such astounding resources."
These Immortals are indeed the resources controlled by the Heavenly Court.
Chen Shi's tone shifted, "Then why have the five of you not yet escaped?"
Niu Jingjing, Long Yuanling, and Xiahou Feng each paused, with Xiahou Feng asking, "Daoist Chen, are you suggesting we imdiately escape the Mud Great World?"
Chen Shi replied, "If you do not leave, King Li will certainly kill you. If you leave now, you still have a chance to escape from his grasp."
The five exchanged a resolute look, their intentions aligned.
As they were about to depart, Niu Jingjing asked, "Daoist Chen, are you not leaving?"
Chen Shi laughed, "With King Li still finding useful, he won't kill . If I escape with you, he will surely pursue personally. But if you leave and I stay, he will guard against escaping and thus won't dare to chase you himself, opting instead to send soldiers after you. He does not have many experts under his command, giving you five a chance to survive."
The five bowed deeply, "Daoist Chen, your great kindness overwhelms us! If we succeed in the future, we shall surely repay you greatly!"
They stood and hurried away.
Chu Xiangxiu watched them leave and remarked, "Those five are unlikely to survive. Even if they escape the Mud Great World, without soone to guide them, it will be hard to escape the Dark Sea."
Chen Shi responded, "They have toiled in Cultivation Immortality, not to serve the Heavenly Court or fight for the Immortal Court, but because they were caught in this world and had no choice, unable to control their own fate. Now, they have a chance to take hold of their destiny!"
Chu Xiangxiu replied, "You're overly idealistic. As Immortals, one either joins the Heavenly Court or becos part of the Immortal Court, or ends up exploited by them, leaving no other choices."
Chen Shi laughed, "I don't desire the Immortal Court or the Heavenly Court! I think Ascended Immortals should choose the third option."
Chu Xiangxiu's heart shook greatly, "You plan to create a new Heavenly Court?"
Chen Shi said nothing.
Soon after, King Li arrived to et them, intending to board the ship with Chen Shi to leave the Dark Sea.
Chen Shi followed King Li onto the tower ship, and at the mont of boarding, he inadvertently caught sight of Niu Jingjing, Long Yuanling, and the others. The five were receiving incense offerings.
Alongside them were twenty-seven other Heavenly Dao Divine People, all receiving incense as well.
Chen Shi's expression turned somber.
Niu Jingjing and the others had not escaped the Mud Great World after all.
They were dead.
Of the thirty-three Immortals marked with the Heavenly Dao Seal, only he remained alive.
Niu Jingjing and the others glanced over, their eyes vacant, no longer possessing a physical body. The Divine were using incense to forge their Golden Bodies.
They appeared as beings bereft of emotions.
If it weren't for the support of Emperor Houtu and others, he too would have died.
"Brother Chu, if that day cos, will you aid ?" Chen Shi suddenly asked.
Chu Xiangxiu was slightly taken aback but quickly understood his aning, replying without hesitation, "You saved my life, just say the word, and I will fight for you!"
"Good!" Chen Shi declared decisively.
This Heavenly Court, this Immortal Court, I want none of it.
He silently resolved in his heart, desiring a different world, a different way of life!
