His body flew into the sky, and in midair, he revealed his True Body, but his bones had broken beyond count!
He had suffered many fatal injuries before, with the last one occurring when he followed Chen Yindou down to the underworld to rescue Chen Shi’s soul. After being seriously wounded, he knew his life was at risk and didn’t want to worry Chen Yindou and the others with his impending death, so he hid away in Qianyang Mountain to await his demise.
But now, struck by Zhong Kui, those old wounds erupted anew!
His breath rapidly decayed, yet his heart was sowhat relieved, "I’ve bought so ti for the Witch and the Heavenly Fox to react!"
Granny Sha and Hu Xiaoliang weren’t as fast to react, but having bought that bit of ti ant the two had a chance to respond, rather than being directly invaded and killed by the assailant!
As he had predicted, Hu Xiaoliang ca to his senses and, without bothering to reveal his True Body, pushed his hand forward, and a surge of Mana collided with the assailant’s Divine Power.
His Mana had no chance to fully unleash before it was crushed by the other’s terrifying force, sending him stumbling backward.
At the sa ti, Granny Sha leaped backward, stood midair, and activated the Supre Eight Diagrams. The Eight Diagrams spun around her, forming the bizarre sight of Lord Lao Zi’s Alchemy Furnace. She stomped her foot, connecting the stone path with both Yin Yang Two Realms, borrowing the power of the underworld!
Before she was ready, the huge red figure had already charged into the air, stepping into the center of the Furnace of Eight Trigrams, heading straight for where her True Body was located!
"Boom!"
The stone path shattered inch by inch, the Furnace of Eight Trigrams broke, and Granny Sha groaned, her physical body and Primordial Spirit separated, sent flying away.
She endured the pain and lifted the iron thorns, each over a person tall, and hurled them at Zhong Kui.
The first iron thorn exploded with a bang, and in an instant, a vast expanse of tens of acres was engulfed in thunderous fire, with lightning crisscrossing, terrifying beyond belief!
The blast even blew Granny Sha away!
Then the second and third iron thorns ca flying, with six consecutive iron thorns entering the fiery explosion, detonating one after another!
Waves of blast force rolled toward them, and Hu Xiaoliang hurriedly revealed the True Body of the Nine-tailed Fox, swaying his tails to block the frightening impact, preventing it from reaching the village below.
Just as the seventh iron thorn reached the front of the thunderous flas, about to explode, suddenly a huge hand reached out from the flas and grasped the iron thorn.
Granny Sha, Hu Xiaoliang, and the approaching green sheep all froze in shock, only to see that from within the thunderous fire, a thousand-foot-tall ghostly figure in a fiery red robe revealed itself, opening its mouth to stuff the iron thorn inside and swallowed it whole.
The giant iron thorn exploded inside his stomach, slighting bulging the ghost’s abdon before it flattened again.
Hu Xiaoliang rushed over, with Granny Sha landing between the ears atop his head. The Green Sheep, enduring the pain, retracted its swords and leaped forward, standing beside the Heavenly Fox, looking at the towering ghost figure erging from the thunderous fire.
"It seems this Zhong Kui, the one we can hardly fight against, is mightier than any of the underworld envoys we’ve ever encountered," mumbled the Green Sheep.
Zhong Kui’s bloody red robe fluttered behind him, extinguishing the widespread thunderous fire. With fierce, round eyes, he charged towards them.
In their first confrontation monts ago, all three had been injured by Granny Sha. Seeing him charge forward, they braced themselves to et the attack head-on, but just then, a sword light raced towards them, with moonlight showering upon it, cleaving apart the Yin Yang Two Realms.
The trio imdiately fell, plumting into the underworld.
Chen Shi activated the Youquan Wandering Dragon Sword, saving Granny Sha and the others, then quickly retracted the sword. Just at that mont, Zhong Kui suddenly turned his head, looking straight at him.
Without a second thought, Chen Shi urged the Wandering Dragon Sword, slicing through the netherworld, and along with the Black Pot, the wooden cart, and Zhuge Jian, dove into the underworld!
They had just fallen from the sky of the underworld when suddenly the sky split open, and the massive face of Zhong Kui probed into the underworld, his iron visage bristling with ugly fierceness. Upon spotting them, he imdiately reached out with a huge hand to grab them!
The Black Pot fell all the while its body growing imnsely large to catch Chen Shi, Zhuge Jian, and the wooden cart, then sprinted wildly, dodging the giant hand descending from the sky.
Its speed was incredibly fast, soon overtaking Granny Sha and the others, tossing them onto its back, and continued to run desperately to the distance.
Above them, Zhong Kui’s gigantic face, as if ablaze with red Demon Flas, kept reaching down!
