Yu Lingzi experienced a mix of sorrow and joy, struggling mightily to calm his mind.

His master had taught him that extre joy or sorrow could easily damage one’s Primordial Qi, leading to diminished cultivation. Cultivators should approach such situations with a light heart, not allowing emotions to ensnare them.

Yu Lingzi struggled to get up, activating his Primordial Spirit to help the plum blossom deer reconnect its bones that had been crushed by Black Pot.

With his Primordial Spirit residing in the emptiness, he reached out his hand, which could pass through Master i’s skin, deep into his flesh, locating the broken bones to rejoin them without creating new injuries.

There were many divine healers in the Taoist orders, like the dicine Saint Sun Simiao, who was among their number. Yu Lingzi also had various Spiritual dicines on him; delivering them with his Primordial Spirit would allow them to reach deep into the wounds.

Previously, when Chen Shi was healing Yu Lingzi, he used his own Nascent Soul to deliver the healing dicine directly to the depths of Yu Lingzi’s wounds, enhancing absorption.

Yu Lingzi’s voice box, which had been damaged, was now of little concern after Chen Shi’s treatnt.

Soon, Master i’s broken bones were all connected by Yu Lingzi, who also administered dicine for his internal organ injuries. While there was no longer a concern for his life, he would need two to three months of recovery to heal fully.

Yu Lingzi’s own injuries were also severe. His Primordial Spirit had suffered harm and was not going to heal easily.

He sighed, feeling so regret over coming to find Chen Shi.

Suddenly, he rembered sothing and struggled to go back, undoing the spells on the Heaven Listeners that had been transford into trees.

The Heaven Listeners rapidly reverted from trees to their original human forms and, patting their large ears, flew away—Yu Lingzi did not wish to harm anyone unless it was necessary.

"Are these Heaven Listeners spying on , or are they spying on Chen Shi?"

Yu Lingzi looked around; there were too many Heaven Listeners in the vicinity. Although he had been spied on by Heaven Listeners in the past, there had never been so many!

Furthermore, after he undid the wood transformation spell on these Heaven Listeners, the direction they flew off in was clearly towards West Capital City.

Apparently, Chen Shi was indeed the primary target of surveillance by the Heaven Listeners!

Yu Lingzi returned to Master i’s side.

Master i was too large to move, especially since he was injured. Dragging him back to West Capital City would completely disgrace Taihua Qing Palace.

By then, the entire Western Capital would likely know that Master i had been seriously wounded by a dog, his antlers broken off.

Yu Lingzi took out a Thousand-Mile Communication Talisman and contacted several of his uncles.

Taihua Qing Palace was a Taoist Sacred Land, and they had their own temples functioning in the Western Capital to facilitate communication with the Holy Land and exchange news.

As the Thousand-Mile Communication Talisman burned, Yu Lingzi had just called out "Uncle" when he heard voices coming from not far away.

He hastily looked in the direction of the sound and saw several male and female Taoists laughing and walking towards him. These Taoists were all young, in their thirties, or forties, lacking the immortal aura of a sage and rather appearing sowhat frivolous and improper in their deanor.

"Master Liao, Master Han, Master Yue! Why are you guys here?" Yu Lingzi hurriedly extinguished the Thousand-Mile Communication Talisman and asked with confusion.

The female Taoist leading the group was the very Master Yue he ntioned, her secular na being Yue Hongyin, also known as Daoist Hongyin. She approached, smiling, "We’ve been nearby all along."

Yu Lingzi’s face darkened like iron, and he stiffly asked, "You’ve been here the entire ti?"

Yue Hongyin nodded, her smile unabated, "As soon as you ca to find Chen Shi, we followed you here."

Daoist Liao laughed, "When he was hitting you, your Master Yue even took out a bag of sunflower seeds. We hadn’t finished eating them before you started stuttering through your refined words."

Yu Lingzi’s face turned as red as a liver, and he stamred, "Why, why didn’t you intervene to save ?"

"An uncut jade cannot form a useful object."

Master Han approached, petting his head, "These days, following the young noble, you’ve been in the lilight whether it’s in front or behind closed doors, praised by thousands, hailed as a Daoist, so much that you’ve beco flighty, forgetting how much weight you really hold."

Yue Hongyin stepped up to him, patted his shoulder, and laughed, "That’s why we needed to give you a good knock, but being your uncles, we couldn’t very well be the ones to do it. However, if soone else does the knocking, it won’t harm the camaraderie among our sect."

Daoist Liao added, "Besides, our Taihua Qing Palace has certain connections with Chen Shi, so if he gives you a sculpting, it won’t reflect poorly on us."

Yu Lingzi’s face grew even redder; these past days, accompanying the young noble, he had indeed enjoyed an unknown amount of flattery. Whatever he did, there was always soone to sing his praises, lauding him for his chivalry, his formidable abilities, his dedication to the world’s people.

Though Yu Lingzi reflected upon his actions thrice daily, his conclusion was always, "Indeed, I am strong."

He suddenly ca to a realization and said, "Chen Shi has connections to Taihua Qing Palace? What kind of connections?"

Yue Hongyin explained, "Chen Yindou once visited the Taihua Qing Palace and served as a Taoist for two years, holding a significant rapport with one of the senior ancestors."

Master Han approached Master i, releasing a surge of mana that lifted Master i up and he respectfully said, "Master should return to the temple to recuperate."

Master i, unable to resist, flew towards the Taoist temple in West Capital City.

"Yu Lingzi, can you walk? If you can, co et a senior mber of our sect."

Bearing the pain, Yu Lingzi followed the three of them towards Mount Gao County, wondering, "Which senior sect mber do the three uncles want to et?"

By nightfall, they arrived at Mount Gao County and went straight to Red Mountain Hall to announce their nas.

Yu Lingzi felt dubious; he had heard of Red Mountain Hall. It had gained so reputation recently around the capital region: a fellowship of Talisman Masters actively vanquishing evil and expelling curses. Could it be that Red Mountain Hall housed a great master from Taihua Qing Palace?

"Ancestor!"

Yue Hongyin and the other two’s faces broke into smiles as they surged forward, surrounding a green sheep that was basking in the moonlight at Red Mountain Hall, calling out, "Green Sheep Ancestor, your disciples have finally found you!"
