Wu Chen gave him a sideways glance and said, "You penniless wretch, not even able to afford incense money, dare you think of hearing the secret teachings of my Buddhist sect for free?"

"Co on, just tell ," Hu Guanghan laughed.

Wu Chen had no choice but to explain, "This is the mystical brilliance of the dharma body from our Great Baoguo Temple, aning that within a tiny speck of dust lies a vast world. Trillions of beings share the sa root, all are dharma bodies. Don’t practice aimlessly, it requires secret transmission."

Chen Shi took several incense sticks from the small shrine behind his head, lit them, and inserted them in front of the central Buddha Shrine, silently chanting in his heart, "This disciple has fallen to this point, unaware of the Buddha’s na, not knowing why extinction occurs here, with only pure devotion, offering incense before the shrine. Paying respects. Today, I dare to seal this place for the divine, consecrating all extinguished spirits and Buddhas here as the Buddhist hells, Living, Black Rope, Clasped Together, Screaming, Duobona, Boduo Bona, Avici, Jiujiu Luo, Corpse, Sword Forest, Blade Forest, Ripped Apart, Anfuduo, Apopo, Azhaza, Utapuat, Kubut, Fragrance, Puṇḍarīka, Bodhima, as the Lords of the twenty layers of hell, receiving incense offerings, gathering rits, and secretly praising the divine."

The rites concluded.

Chen Shi took a step back.

At this ti, there was a commotion outside, and Chen Shi was slightly moved, walked out of the main hall to look, only to see everyone gathering in front of the temple, observing.

A Buddhist mountain ahead of them inexplicably radiated a great light, the enormous Buddhist mountain standing tall, its flesh and blood turning to mud, the golden body becoming filthy, covered with strange eyes.

At this mont, the filth on the Buddhist mountain disappeared, each strange eye trembled violently, swiftly withering and falling off.

Gradually, brilliant golden light erged from within the Buddhist mountain, the golden light blossoming, growing ever brighter!

Everyone was astonished, but then saw behind the Buddhist mountain, a magnificent wheel of Buddha light erged. A majestic Buddhist sound ca from the mountain, deafeningly loud.

Then, another great mountain underwent the sa change, soon becoming free of filth, like a grand golden Buddha sitting on the barren land of hell.

More Buddhist mountains washed away their filth, becoming solemn and dignified.

As the Buddha light burst forth, those heavenly beings who had fallen into madness, like Shura, Gandharva, Garuda, and Mahoraga, also awoke at this mont, floating among the halos behind the Buddhas, perfectly poised, chanting the Buddhist law.

The boundless Buddha light shone out, illuminating the surrounding darkness. Everywhere the Buddha light reached felt like dead wood reviving in spring, generating infinite vitality from death!

It seed as if it wanted to transform this Buddhist hell into a boundless Pure Land, a Western Heavenly Bliss World!

The Buddha light’s coverage grew increasingly wide, gradually shining through the hell where they were, as everyone stood outside Leiyin Temple, witnessing how the underworld creatures illuminated by the Buddha light all beca gentle and harmonious, exuding great compassion, devoid of any more violent and sinister aura!

Under the Buddha light, wronged souls dissipated their resentnt, evil ghosts ceased to be ferocious, lonely souls grew physical bodies, wild ghosts developed physiques, and so of the beings in hell transford into Nagas, others into Yakshas.

They transford into various heavenly beings, becoming followers of the Buddha.

The Buddha light seed to pierce through ti and space, illuminating the next layer of hell, then the third layer, fourth layer, fifth layer!

Layer upon layer of Buddhist hells, under the illumination of the Buddha light, gradually beca clear, layer upon layer unfolded before them, vast and astonishingly magnificent!

The place where they stood was rely the first layer of the twenty-layer Buddhist hell.

Its vastness has surpassed the West Bull New Continent several tis!

The grandeur of the twenty layers of hell is truly unimaginable!

Chen Shi also stood in front of the temple, watching this spectacular scene, unable to calm himself for a long ti.

The scene before him, for reasons unknown, allowed him to witness the strength of the Buddhist sect during the True King Era!

This also showed how strong and magnificent the True King Era was!

Perhaps at that ti, there really were immortals, and not just no further advancent possible in the Mahayana Realm!

But why did the cultivation realm of cultivators regress with the end of that era?

He pondered deeply but failed to understand.

The Buddha light continued to extend downward, seemingly intending to envelop the entire twenty layers of hell in its glow, each grand Buddha also bathing in the Buddha light, as if truly achieving Nirvana, awakening from slumber, reappearing in the world.

Suddenly, thunder rumbled from the sky, followed by a grand voice from beyond, as if chanting scriptures, or reciting incantations, the language mysterious, containing unfathomable power.

The voice, slow and heavy at first, gradually quickened, faster and faster.

Everyone saw the Buddha light of the Buddhas under the pressure of that voice continuously retracting, all the beings transford into heavenly beings revealing their original, ugly, and fierce appearances.

Soon, the Buddha light disintegrated, ceasing to exist, the heavenly beings fell from the sky one by one, the Buddhas turned back into mountains and rivers, the filth returned as before, and everything returned to tranquility.

In front of Leiyin Temple, everyone stared blankly at this scene, unable to calm themselves for a long ti.

After a long while, they entered the temple, still recalling the previous scene.

"What exactly just happened?"

Just as Daoist Guo asked this question, suddenly, in the empty Buddha shrines of the grand hall, it seed as if there were various sizes of Buddha statues standing within. They should be illusions, yet they emitted light. From within the shrines, the Buddha light overflowed, instantly enveloping the entire Leiyin Temple, wrapping everyone in the Buddha light!

Within the Leiyin Temple, a thick beam of light shot straight up, piercing the sky.

Outside the sky, thunder rumbled, and a gigantic hand reached out, tearing through the sky like a black curtain, yet it grasped at nothing.

The giant hand retracted, the black curtain stirred, and peace was restored.

All the Buddha light dissipated, and Leiyin Temple returned to tranquility.

After the Buddha light around Chen Shi, Daoist Guo, and the others dispersed, they found themselves no longer in the Buddhist Hell, but in the underworld. In the distance, a few green-skinned little ghosts stood on tiptoe, peering in their direction. Seeing them looking over, the green-skinned little ghosts hurriedly turned into wisps of black smoke and disappeared, not knowing where they had gone.

The place they were in was a ruin, with two large mountains forming a gateway, and a ridge in between served as a beam.

Beyond the mountain gate, there were ancient city ruins, emanating an ancient and unfamiliar aura, likely remnants from prehistoric tis.

Chen Shi motioned for everyone to set up the Ten Absolute Formation, quietly waiting for the Young Master and the Red-haired Ghost, but after a long ti, no one ca.

"Tianyu entered the Buddhist Hell, at the very least thirty years have passed."

Chen Shi was sowhat disappointed, leaving with everyone, silently thinking, "That Young Master probably left this place long ago."

A few days later, Granny Sha and Chen Tang entered the Buddhist Hell, found Leiyin Temple, and saw the traces left by Chen Shi and others.

Granny Sha and Chen Tang each retrieved their primordial spirits, returning to their physical bodies.

Granny Sha sensed the souls of Chen Shi and others, saying, "They have already left the underworld and returned to the mortal world."

Chen Tang let out a long breath and repeatedly thanked Granny Sha.

However, Granny Sha was sowhat unhappy, and on the way back, she was lancholy, likely struck by seeing the Three-Life Stone.

After walking for over ten days, they returned to the Red Mountain Hall in Gaoshan County, where she fell ill, lay in bed with a high fever, and spoke deliriously. Seeing this, Chen Tang quickly went to call a doctor.

The doctor inspected her and said, "She’s hurt her heart spirit and been invaded by a sinister force. With so dication to calm the heart and strengthen the yang, she should recover."

After the doctor prescribed the dication, Chen Tang quickly went to the pharmacy to get the dicine. At that mont, noise erupted outside, a clamor of voices.

Chen Tang looked outside and saw a sea of people packed tightly, not knowing what had happened.

After obtaining the dicine and paying for it, he asked the pharmacy attendant, who smiled and said, "Many scholars have co outside, three to four hundred people. It’s said that these are the scholars who died in the Imperial Examination a month ago, but they have surprisingly returned alive! Many people have gone to see!"

Chen Tang was taken aback, unable to conceal his excitent, and hurriedly ran out of the pharmacy. Up ahead, people were heading towards the Red Mountain Hall.

At Red Mountain Hall, Granny Sha lay on the sickbed, feverish and delirious, still mumbling incoherently.

"Tianyu, Mother is sorry for you..."

"Tianyu, Mother doesn’t want the Three-Life Stone anymore, will you co back..."

"I saw that stone and thought of you, Mother doesn’t want anything anymore. This ti, Mother will go down to accompany you."

...

The door opened, and in a daze, Granny Sha saw a figure walk in.

"Granny, Granny, wake up."

It sounded like Chen Shi’s voice, "Look, who did I bring back?"

Granny Sha struggled to open her eyes and saw a child beside the figure, vaguely familiar.

She tried hard to see clearly, but tears welled up from her eyes, blurring her vision.

She forced her eyes open wide, more tears flowed out, still blurring her view.

These tears just kept flowing uncontrollably.

"Mother."

She heard the voice that haunted her dreams, the mories she desperately wanted to forget surged over her like a tidal wave, drowning her heart.

"Mother, I’ve returned." Xiang Tianyu threw himself into her arms.
