Chapter 315: Dwarves
"What about dwarves?" Leo asked.
The priest was taken aback.
"Female dwarves?" the priest asked with a strange look on his face. Female dwarves were less desired by fine n like Leo... but who was he to question? People might have varied tastes.
"Tsk. No. Not female specifically. Any dwarves that are skilled in tallurgy and craftsmanship."
What does this priest take for? Leo thought internally.
"Ah, skilled dwarves for territory... Well, though they are also expensive, ranging nearly in the elves’ area, currently they are also out of stock. However, you can always buy the unskilled ones and have them trained. They are inherently suited for such works and catch things quickly." The priest paused for a mont, thinking, before adding,
"They are also physically stronger than elves or humans, and even the ones with no soul rank match the strength level of a Peak 1-star human. So they are great for cheap labour. The ones without soul rank start with 10,000 AC. Once again, females are more priced."
Leo took in the words, and after a few more inquiries, he left when so people arrived to buy slaves.
Leo only had one thing on his mind as he walked back to Grivak.
"Expensive..."
The reason skilled dwarves were so expensive was because after buying them once, you could have a lifeti constant supply of money at the cost of raw materials.
"Dwarves are great for investnt for my territory... And I don’t even need to worry about leaving my territory behind after 20 years for the academy. I can just make Howl walk away with the whole city on his back."
"But 10 million just to buy a dwarf who is low-levelled in his area of skill? That’s simply foolish. That’s like 400 gold and my reward money."
Leo thought of the mont when he and Lily used to work with 20 Bronze coins a month just to exist, yet now he was capable enough to play with 4 million Bronze coins at once.
"Still not enough! I will get richer and stronger!" Leo motivated himself. For him and for Lily.
The reason he was looking for a craftsman was the Low-Purple-Tier Thunder-Crest Elk Antler he still had in his possession, and at a minimum, an interdiate 1-star craftsman was required. And hiring them for work was very expensive. He had enquired and co to understand that the antler in his possession was a rare magical tool treasure that had the potential to be forged directly into one star higher level equipnt than the treasure itself.
Which ant a Low-yellow tier treasure suited for a low 5-star professional could be made from the antler. And only a craftsman starting from an interdiate level could even think of attempting such a thing, that too at a minimum of 20 Million AC hiring cost.
That was the value of Low yellow-tier treasures and equipnt.

Leo still hadn’t taken into account the custom configuration on the equipnt and other supplentary materials; the cost would probably go up by another notch.
"Bruh... I can buy so many dwarves with that," Leo muttered. But he did know why others weren’t thinking of buying slaves and instead opted to hire. It was because, other than the fact that interdiate-level dwarves were almost impossible to find, it was also because not all dwarves were the sa and might not be able to work on things one might be looking for.
All in all, waiting for a suitable dwarven slave was very ti-consuming.
As he made his way to Grivak, he discovered an unusual purple-haired lady watching the scorpion with eyes that suggested she was reminiscing about sothing pleasant. She reminded Leo of Leon, who had the sa coloured hair but a lighter shade.
She was standing very close to Grivak, and as if Grivak wasn’t bothered, he allowed her to remain there happily.
Though she looked quite young, in her early thirties in both looks and body, Leo already knew not to guess anybody’s age by appearance.
As if noticing his gaze, the lady sharply turned her head toward Leo.
W-what the fuck! This can’t be normal... Leo was shocked internally. This was the second ti the sa thing had happened to him, people noticing that he was observing them. First Uraan, and now this lady.
Not caring about Leo’s thoughts, she approached him.
Leo kept his lips pursed because he couldn’t sense her strength at all. She was obviously ranked higher than him, evident from the yellow dragon badge she was wearing, signifying she was a professor.
"Leo, right? Lily’s man?" she said.
"Yes..." Leo responded, his eyes narrowing when Lily was ntioned. She seed to already know him, and the fact that she knew Lily ant there was no use hiding it.
But why does she know Lily? he wondered.
"No need to be wary, I am Lily’s Master. Katherine. It’s the first ti we et, and I suppose Lily didn’t describe my appearance to you," Katherine said, already knowing why Lily would do that.
Leo’s eyes widened as he bent slightly.
"Pleased to et you, Professor Katherine."
Katherine nodded, then pointed at Grivak.
"Why is K’s beast here?"
Leo frowned.
"K?"
"Oh sorry, hehe." She giggled softly, covering her lips with her hand. Even her small laugh seed to charm the nearby passing n. But one glimpse of her badge was enough to scare the shit out of them.
"Fuck! What’s a professor doing here?" one man muttered before quickly disappearing into the crowd, afraid he might get wiped out for thinking of a professor in that way.
"I an Leon. It is his beast, right? Why is it in the infirmary area? What managed to defeat a..." She looked at Grivak once again.
"A High 3-star beast? Don’t tell you both had an unofficial match outside the arena."
"No. We didn’t."
"Then how? Hubby said your territory is 80 kilotres away. And even though the maximum-ranked beasts in those areas are Peak 3-star beasts, Singham should have been more than enough to deal with them," Katherine said with a pleasant smile that suggested she already had a guess as to how it happened.
