Chapter 356: Fish - 1

Brant frowned as creases ford between his eyebrows.

"Did you already ta a water beast? Or was it present from before but didn’t reveal it?" he asked.

"No... I am guessing Professor Katherine must already know that I am able to use Lily’s affinities... sa for her," Leo responded.

Brant was completely dumbfounded.

"So quickly!?" he exclaid. "Like you both really reached that level of soulmate bond this early and young!? It took Katherine and 150 years! More than a century for that!"

This ti, it was Leo who was taken aback. Was it really such shocking news that a century-old, senile, experienced man lost his composure?

Brant realised his mistake.

"Sorry, I lost my composure," he apologised and facepald, steadying his breath.

He slowly looked up, as if he had a question for his god.

Katherine must be laughing her ass off back in her room, he thought. Katherine clearly played with him, since she could have said that Leo and Lily had achieved this insane feat last night.

After shaking his head, he spoke again.

"Congratulations..." he muttered in a low voice. He still couldn’t comprehend the fact that such love could still exist.

Am I loving my babygirl so little? A fleeting thought arrived, which went away as quickly as it ca.

No, these two are special, he concluded at last.

"Anyway, it’s good that you are able to share your elents. But you will still need so source of water supply in your territory, right?" Brant said, swiftly proposing a new idea.

Leo thought for a while.

"Yes... We cannot always rely on people to replenish our water supply. But how will we get a source? You already know we cannot dig, since instead of water, we will get Howl’s blood."

Brant raised his brow.

"Howl? The na seems oddly specific. Back to the main point—yes, we will not dig a hole. That’s for backwards-minded people who still believe only digging holes is the best way when we have so many beasts around us."

Leo frowned.

"Again, beast? You already know I have limited slots in which I can ta beasts, and I am not the type of guy to kill my tad beasts for new ones."

Brant waved dismissively.

"Not all beasts need to be tad. I am sure you already have an example in your territory," Brant said.

It clicked for Leo.

"Bigfoot!"

Brant raised his brow again.

"You indeed are unique with nas, but that’s right. A dosticated beast," Brant said with a small smile. "Now you really think fish would need to be tad to keep in check—uh..." He recalled sothing and corrected himself. "Well, many cannot even be tad, but I am not talking about those. You understand, right? Passive fish that just know how to swim and eat?"

Leo nodded.

"But how will they act as a source of water?"

"Well, the ones that I have in mind are magical beasts that continuously condense water around them passively. So, you just need to construct streamlines that can hold flowing water—which I suppose will be quite easy with your earth manipulation—and throw the fishes in them. Depending on the numbers, within hours, the whole base of the lines will be covered in water, and in just a day or two, you will have a continuous supply of water."

Then he recalled sothing.

"Well, since you will be taking them away from their natural habitat, I suggest you throw the leftovers of beast material eaten by your beasts in the stream. And don’t worry about it getting dirty, since those fish would completely digest them, not even generating waste. And if you even want to be free from all those hassles, just bring so phytoplankton from the lake and plant them in a specific area of the stream... a pool sort of area."

Brant looked toward the plateau region.

"Build it at the top, and I forgot to ntion—they can swim upstream, so no need to keep them trapped there."

Leo nodded.

"Those are so interesting fish... but where will we find them?"

"Where ans what? I will take you there. And I suppose you might have already seen Samtal Lake on your way to Barfila Mountain, we just need to travel 800 Kilotres ahead to reach Gehra Lake"

Leo’s eyes widened.

"We will go there?"

Brant nodded.

"Afraid to swim?" he asked cheekily.

"No... But I have never seen any beasts of the waters."

Even in his previous life, the largest animal was a water animal. But if beasts here on land itself spanned kilotres, which he had personally seen, he could only imagine what a beast in the category of a blue whale would look like.

"How long are we going to stay there?" Leo asked.

"Depends on finding the targeted fish. I have a rough idea as to where they will be. We might return soon," Brant said with a shrug.

"You won’t take sightseeing?" Leo asked, with the sa cheekiness.

"Ohh, sure, sure. Just so you know, the last ti I visited Gehra Lake was a decade ago, and at that ti, the largest beast—more like the largest beast I could approach—was a Peak 6-star Gloomwhale Devourer. Nothing large, just a 10-kilotre-wide beast that rests 10 kilotres beneath the surface water of the 4356-kilotre-wide lake, to be specific," Brant replied with the sa smile, without any stir in his emotions.

Leo’s jaws were left wide open.

That’s fucking as deep as the Mariana Trench! And just as wide beast?! That too under a fucking water body that’s terd ’lake’!

"Cough, may I know the exact depth of this Gehra Lake?"

"Yeah, sure. Nothing much, just 14 kilotres deep at the deepest part."

Leo wasn’t even surprised anymore, so he asked sothing that might surprise him.

"Uh... so what’s the deepest part in the whole world?"

Brant thought for a while, stroking his beard.

"Well, we have only explored like 50% of the total landmass that we have discovered, and as for the ocean—that our Emperor found—because apparently what we thought were oceans were actually seas... small seas. So, back to your question, I would say the deepest path that has been discovered is around 160 to 170 kilotres."

With all the buildup Brant had provided, even that number didn’t shock Leo.

Just how big is this fucking world!!!

He didn’t even know how many tis had he been surprised by just the descripting on the world where he magically appeared.
