Chapter 411: Breeze

"Leave it to !" Lily said, sharply turning her body toward the direction the flying beast was coming from.

There she saw it—the falcon was coming at such a high speed that she didn’t even have ti to think before cancelling the compressed wind platform she was standing on and dropping into a free fall.

But the falcon was so swift that not even a second passed before it was directly in front of a watchtower, about to wreck it.

"What?!" Lily suddenly realised she couldn’t save the tower in ti. She had miscalculated its speed because it was flying almost parallel to her, looking nothing more than a figure gradually growing larger. But then the falcon swerved in its path, making its true speed apparent—and now it was already on its way to strike the tower.

Of course, it was planned by Uraan, knowing Lily would obviously guard the skies due to her ability to remain suspended. But Uraan himself wasn’t on top of the falcon; he was riding Midnight, coming alongside his territory mbers in the distance.

Aelwen, the mid-3-star elf stationed in that tower, slowly widened her eyes at her impending doom. The beast wasn’t going to hit the tower structure—but her.

"NOOOOO!!!" Sylrael scread from a distance, a newly drawn arrow already knocked to her bow as she steadied her aim at the beast’s sudden appearance. Her eyes showed real panic and terror, as if all the colour had drained from her face.

FWHOOOOOOOOM—CRASH—BOOOOMM!

"Aelwen!"

"No!!"

The other elves were equally frightened.

The top of the tower was blown away as wood splinters and dust burst outward with the blast. Sylrael’s eyes remained wide with disbelief, and she lost a bit of control over her aim, making the arrow miss the falcon that was already heading for the next tower.

Sylrael’s heart sank at the sight, and she hurriedly reached for another arrow—but it was already too late. The beast had reached the other tower.

"No..." Sylrael muttered weakly, as if she had seen a ghost.

If the first attack was a surprise and she lost a sister because of it, then the next loss would be purely her fault.

In the distance, Leo smacked his head as if he had made a grave mistake. Of course, he had—he hadn’t inford them that they wouldn’t die for real in case of fatal damage.

He was taken aback and a bit saddened that he had suffered a loss, but there was no real death, so everything was ultimately fine.

Now that he thought about it... Lily had only given them the life bracelets, saying they were important, without actually explaining their use.

No wonder they were so devastated. For them, Aelwen died for real.

They knew there was so life-saving chanism because the other attacking ’human’ students would disappear—but they were elves. What guarantee was there that the sa chanism worked on them? Not to ntion such a system would be incredibly expensive, and they weren’t sure Leo would do that for them since they were re slaves and replaceable.

And Sylrael had actually witnessed the real deaths of her kin in her dreams—it was only natural for her to be terrified.

Back to the falcon—several arrows had already been launched toward it from all directions. The elves even ignored the attackers already within range and rapidly closing in. Their eyes were filled with a storm of emotions, but above all, fear of losing soone.

But it was already too late. The falcon had reached point-blank range of the tower. Naewen was the one stationed there. Being a Low 3-star individual, she naturally couldn’t compare to the falcon, which was now a Mid 3-star beast. She closed her eyes and accepted her fate. But—

VROOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!

Suddenly, a crushing wind pressure slamd down in front of the tower. The falcon couldn’t resist it for even a single second as its horizontal montum was completely halted, its body forced into a vertical drop. The only difference was that instead of diving naturally, it was slamd downward with its belly facing the ground.

Even the arrows weren’t spared—they were dragged along by the wind pressure, crashing down alongside the falcon. Then Lily subtly shifted the wind, altering the the arrows trajectory so that, even while falling off course, they curved toward the falcon’s body.

"What the actual fuck...?" Uraan muttered in the distance, his enhanced vision clearly catching everything.

His face turned completely deadpan, mouth slightly open. Just monts ago, he had been enjoying his ride on Midnight, convinced all the watchtowers would be destroyed in one fell swoop. Now, he couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

"There is no way soone in the 3-star realm—or even Pseudo 4-star—is capable of that... wait." Uraan suddenly felt a chill crawl up his spine, a bad premonition rising within him, making him want to turn tail and run.

BAM! VRRROOOMM! Tham! Tham! Tham! Tham!

The falcon crashed onto the ground, the wind pressure still pinning it down. The next mont, all the arrows struck its body. So pierced straight through its flesh, while others sprouted vines that rapidly ensnared the beast, binding it in place.

SCKREEEEE!

The beast shrieked, but then it heard heavy footsteps approaching as the wind pressure subsided. It couldn’t even lift its head before its skull was smashed—and its body teleported away.

It was none other than Drycha, who imdiately locked its gaze onto its next target—the Boreal Shellbeast. The woman riding atop it was already cracking her fists together, eager for the challenge.

The Shellbeast charged on all fours, moving at an astounding speed, heading straight toward Treant, who marched forward with equal ferocity. Treant didn’t even bother glancing at the group of more than a hundred n and won charging alongside the shellbeast with their beasts.

"DIIIEEEE!!!"

But then, an extrely furious shout erupted from far behind the treant—and in the next instant, 3 arrows engulfed in dense orange flas shot toward the group at blinding speed.
